This mod looks dead before it even started...No beta and nothing...wishing on a star
Your last comment said the same thing and that was two pages ago. What's the point of repeating yourself if you believe it to be dead? It wouldn't change anything if it were dead or quicken the release.
Hmmm, with players not being able to destroy nodes for wispy essences I just realised aurum essentia might suddenly be quite hard to get. I will have to add an alternate means of getting it.
I've never broken a node and got by just fine, but I suppose that might just be me. That being said if it were easier I've got nothing against that.
It would be pretty cool if you could "net" dragon's snapping jaws. I love dinosaur scenes with stuff like that and dragons are pretty much more badass dinosaurs so well... you know. I may have posted this before, if so- Ooops!
I do indeed want bosses that are not limited to the outerlands. Summonable ones seem the most ideal to avoid non-thaumcraft users from encountering them.
I'd put it in the FAQ or just simply in bold on the OP or something (unless you have already) because most of those who bring it up are new to the thread and most likely haven't read page 39. More people will come and more people will not read previous pages. Then there are those who won't read FAQ either, but it's better than nothing. (I'm not referring to anyone specifically)
Just a quick word to let you know that the school of fish testing was successful. It will be part of the Alpha release. To my surprise, it is not CPU intensive at all and look great.
So expect those fish to gather is school (small or large)
Barracuda, Mackerel, Tuna, Reef Fish and Sail Fish.
is their any difference between the dragons gender? like maybe the males have longer horns and spikes whiles the females are a bit bigger but have smaller horns and spikes?
I dug up a very early quote (page 6). I don't know what's changed in their plans since then but here:
Genders are planned but as for colour dimorphism no, it would simply be too messy texture wise. Considering each dragon colour would require 10 textures. We do plan on having genders though and may have the females be a little bit bigger and tougher.
There was also some talk about removing the side horns, but then they would require separate models.
We are currently working on the bestiary and are curious as to how much information and what sort of information you would like it to have foreach creature. In addition here is a preview of one of our pages:
Looking spiffy.
Although I don't have info preference, but I don't want it to be a rigid 4th wall breaking guide.
"Dragons have so and so HP with so and so attack."
Are there textures out in the internet that makes the creatures have more vanilla looking textures (doubtful), and if not would it even be possible to do?
This mod works great for me alone but I'd love to be able to use it along with Mo'Creatures (which is great but kind of lacking in the bird department). Unfortunately when I try to use it along with Creatures the birds themselves don't spawn, only the eggs do, so I can still get all the birds easily enough by collecting the eggs - but it doesn't quite feel the same...Anyone had any success using both of these or are they just not compatible?
Mo' creatures messes up all spawning in general. I believe you can manually add spawns for the birds in Custom Mob Spawner's config. I haven't used it recently because of this, so this info may be some what out dated. If it still uses Custom Mob Spawner and you have it installed, try removing it? I don't think it required it.

I can see the images just fine, but I came late so maybe it was fixed.

Oh man I can't wait to see it!

No release =/= inactive.
With constant screenshots and input from the devs, this is anything but inactive. They can't help if you're not patient.

Yeah, as much as I like it, it makes everything else seem off.

Just color variations posted on the front page by the devs:
