I think these are pretty darn cool. I especially like the Planetoid mod. That'll make for some fun survival worlds
I'm itching to try it, but my laptop has a clogged cooling system, so I need to wait for it to get fixed or I'll lag out and my cpu will overheat again

I'm not easily scared in Minecraft, and most horror maps actually kinda bore me, but this actually terrified me. I watched playthroughs of it, and geez was I scared. The creepy little girl voice in the library? That was too creepy lol. The jumpscares were epic. Great job on the texture pack! The map itself was amazing. The only problem was the bug when you slept in a bed.

Description

The Minecraft Is Too Easy (MITE) mod was created to emphasize and enhance the survival aspect of the game. It accomplishes this by increasing the difficulty of survival mode and introducing new content and game mechanics. MITE is a comprehensive mod that alters roughly 500 of the game's class files and adds many new ones. Some highlights of the MITE mod are listed below:

Reduced Player Starting Health And Nutrition

• Begin with 3 heart and food icons instead of 10, and gain one of each for every 5 levels of experience

Reduced Player Harvesting Capabilities

• Logs may be harvested only while wielding a hatchet, axe or battle axe
• Stone and ore blocks cannot be harvested unless you have a mining tool such as a pickaxe or war hammer
• If you begin to starve you will be too weak from hunger to break or place blocks, and your movement speed will be reduced

Subsistence Living

• Embark as a hunter/gatherer in the Stone Age, only able to hunt animals and gather plants for sustenance until you discover flint tools
• Struggle to find enough food each day to make it through the night and see another sunrise
• Adopt a nomadic lifestyle as you deplete local resources and are forced to move on
• Find a better way to live once you have stockpiled enough food to make a stand against hunger

Improved Mob AI

• Mobs detect players from further away and their missile attacks have increased range and accuracy
• Mobs will not despawn if you can see them or they can see you
• Animals require food and water, and are able to seek it out on their own
• Animals are also more effective at evading predators (you will see a lot of this)

Four New Ores And Metals

• Copper, silver, mithril and adamantium have been added to the mix; each metal has its own characteristics
• Search deep within the bowels of the earth to discover the largest and most precious ore veins

New Furnaces And Heat Levels

• Introducing the clay oven, sandstone oven, obsidian furnace and netherrack furnace, each with its own capacity for withstanding heat
• Wood and charcoal can be burned in any oven and produce enough heat to cook meat
• The lesser metals (copper, silver, gold and iron) can be smelted in a stone furnace burning coal
• A lava-fueled obsidian furnace has enough heat to smelt mithril
• Netherrack furnaces are the only furnaces capable of withstanding the intense heat of blaze rods; these are used to smelt adamantium

Ten New Mobs

• Introducing the dire wolf, wood spider, ghoul, wight, shadow, invisible stalker, hellhound, demon spider, infernal creeper, and fire elemental
• Most of the new mobs are encountered only at deeper levels; the game grows more perilous the deeper you delve

A Dozen New Achievements

• They will provide you with a roadmap of how to survive in this new, harsh world

New Tools and Durability System

• MITE adds to your arsenal the cudgel, club, hatchet, knife, dagger, war hammer, battle axe, mattocks and scythe
• Tool durability is reduced according to the hardness of the harvested block
• The flint hatchet is the simplest tool that will allow you to harvest wood from trees
• The copper pickaxe is the most easily crafted tool that will allow you to harvest stone and ore blocks

Added Enchantments

• Speed (boots)
• Stun (war hammers)
• Fortune (fishing rods)
• Regeneration (torso armor)
• Fertility (hoes and mattocks)
• Tree Felling (axes and battle axes)
• Vampiric (swords, daggers and scythes)

Enhanced Farming

• Cultivate the new onion crop and use it to prepare delicious food dishes
• Beware the blight, a dread disease that can afflict your crops and ruin their yield
• Manure, a valuable resource periodically dropped by livestock, can be used to fertilize farmland
• A new time-forwarding mechanism allows crops to grow even when no players are nearby

Weather Effects

• Player's hunger rate is increased while standing in the rain; it pays to find shelter
• Fishing is more productive during rain storms

Security Of Valuables In Multiplayer Games

• Strongboxes are chests that are crafted from metal; they can only be opened by the player who places them

Alrighty guys, I've got a couple things to cover. First is pretty simple: I've reworked parts of the OP, so things will look a teensy bit different. Unfortunately, I had to get rid of the Victory Photos section; it was far too large, got in the way of things, and frankly was a pain to update. As consolation, I've added some more LPs to the LP section.

The second bit is a followup to my announcement about Dreadsky Depths a few days ago. I've thought things over and decided that I'll be remaking only one area, and revamping Harmonious Divide instead of scrapping it completely. This puts the number of areas I need to make at three, which is definitely doable. The new area will replace Thistleback Mines but take the place of the Intersection 02 to 03 connector, meaning I'll have to move Palma Castle. I'm also creating a list of things I need to address once those three areas are completed, from redesigning spawners and loot in several areas to revamping sections of others. Even with the list continually growing in length, I'm feeling pretty good about completing this project. The only thing I really see getting in the way is college, but for this first semester I'll only be taking one class, so my free time shall largely remain my own!

So there's your update! In working on the OP, I got a hankering for some new banners, so I'll likely go screenie-hunting soon and throw a new banner or two up by the week's end. Hopefully that piques a few of your interests.

Suggestion: Arrows - Chance of Recovery

Instead of a table with an entry for each material, why not make the arrow recovery chances a bit simpler to remember ?

Cheap materials would have let's say 40%, about 3 out of 5. Flint, Rusted Iron, Obsidian. This would help Flint Arrows a bit, yes, and worsens Rusty Iron Arrows, true, but really, Flint Chips are actually much harder to get than Rusty Iron arrows anyway. Rusty Iron is better than Flint and yet much easier to accumulate from Skeleton drops than having to actually go find and shovel totally new gravel patches. The iron is "rusty" so it makes sense that you would not get it back as often as true Iron, and the difference should be large enough to be noticeable too, otherwise there ain't much point.

Then all the Good value materials would be at 70%, somewhere between "2 out of 3" and "3 out of 4". Copper, Gold, Silver, Iron. Gold can be rationalized in that it simply deforms a bit upon impact, you don't actually really lose the metal. Maybe for the sake of realism, soft metals could be picked up back as "Used Gold Arrows" that are craftable back into Gold Arrows. I'd do the same for silver too.

And the best materials would be let's say 90%, 9 out of 10. Mythril is so rare, allocating the best recovery bonus to its arrows is deserved I think.

Thus, players would not need to remember exactly a slightly differing value for each and every material: you'd only need to remember the easy to remember general category of the material and there you go. This is more intuitive and "playful", not like learning whole tables like in a chem class, right ? lol !

And what about diamond-tipped arrows ? Those make a lot of sense to me, even if armor does not.

So the table could become :

Flint, +1 dmg, Weak = 40% (from 30%)
Obsidian, +2 dmg, Weak = 40%
Rusted Iron, +2 dmg, Weak = 40% (from 50%)
Copper, +3 dmg, Good = 70% (from 50%), Malleable
Gold, +2 dmg, Good = 70% (from 50%), Malleable
Silver, +3 dmg, Good = 70% (from 60%), Malleable
Iron, +4 dmg, Good = 70%
Diamond, +4 dmg, Good = 70% (new)
Mithril, +5 dmg, Best = 90% (from 80%)
Adamantium, +6 dmg, Best = 90%

Malleable: Pickup up arrows have the prefix "Used" in front. Their item icon "flat/bent" arrowhead. Used arrows can't be used too shoot, but can be crafted back into their normal arrow form (same crafting time as making these arrows in the first place).

Enchantability is also a good attribute to be made up of only a few specific broad categories (low, medium, and high enchantability), instead of making each material have a very specific enchantability value.

I have played through this map once and I really loved it. I may have died pretty much all the time so it was pretty hard not ever having anything. I wanted to play through it again but didn't want to deal with losing all my stuff all the time so i took the time to find something. Smooth move on making a village spawner right on the command block /gamerule keepinventory false I know its cheating but it definitely made it more fun for me not losing all my inventory everytime after i die after i "accidentally" changed that to true..

Last time i checked, Spawning, Chop 1 tree. Get wooden pick. Get 3 stone. get stone pick. get 8 stone, get furnace. Go mine all your iron you want. Get 1 piece of armor and mobs aren't a thread anymore fun.
