posted a message on Is there a option for finite worlds?

Creating a new world and making it an Old World limits that specific world size to 256x256. Going into settings>video and activating "Limit World Size" will make all newly created worlds as Old Worlds. This is not what the OP is asking for.

"In the Xbox 360 Edition, PlayStation 3 Edition, PlayStation Vita Edition, and Wii U Edition, the Overworld is limited to 864×864 blocks. Additionally, in the Xbox One Edition, PlayStation 4 Edition and Nintendo Switch Edition, the player is able to further select the size of their worlds, from Small (1024×1024), Medium (3072×3072), and Large (5120×5120, Switch excluded). The edges of these worlds are surrounded by an endless sea of water, preceded by an invisible barrier." -- Source

There was mention of adding the Small, Medium, Large sizes to MCPE by Tommaso. It just hasn't been implemented yet.

posted a message on Connected Textures?

Yes. But, we are still limited in what we can do. Right now, all the addons do is change how mobs look/function. We don't have the ability to change blocks, yet.

Sadly, not as of yet. Once we get the ability to change how blocks work via addons, I believe it'll be possible.

posted a message on There should be a "paste" and "tab" button feature for minecraft pocket, windows 10, and ios edition

For Windows 10, Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V work fine. For iOS and Android, try long-pressing.

NOTE: Not all commands work the same in MCPE/Win10. We are still getting new commands and functions. Also, some of the data values are different.

posted a message on More things to add in mcpe

If you're talking about stained glass, they are trying to fix the lag issue caused by using it first. It's the same reason we don't have fireworks and a few other things. Music discs will most likely be added in 1.2 as that's when we're supposed to be getting the parrots.

Can you clarify what you're wanting to use the cauldrons for and are thinking about? It sounds like you have multiple ideas running into one.

I believe Mojang has already stated that these will be coming to MCPE...eventually. In the meantime, there are quite a few maps and servers you can look into that have other minigames as well as versions of these.

posted a message on Debug screen

As far as an actual debug screen goes, Mojang has stated that they are looking into it but that it's difficult since they don't want to clutter the screen with too many buttons and info. Remember, MCPE is played on phones as well, not just PCs and tablets. And coordinates are going to be made available soon (not sure if 1.1) the same way they are on consoles, on the maps.

FYI - The coding for coordinates has been in game for quite some time. They just have to be activated by editing a few lines of code.

posted a message on Add-ons for realms?
    Quote from Halcyonian»

I have to say that this is frustrating as hell.

Why do I need to learn to be a programmer just in order to alter things around?

This is what debugs are supposed to be for.

How do you expect to change how things work in game without some programming knowledge? Even if you just want to use in-game commands and command blocks, you need to know what those commands are and how they work.

For info try, Minecraft Commands and Command Blocks.

NOTE: Enabling commands (cheats) will disable Achievements for that world.

    "Shut off creeper griefing"

We won't have this command until the 1.1 update (hopefully by the end of this week). Then, if you have OP level status (owner, operator, administrator) on your realm, type:

    /gamerule mobgriefing false

If you have a server, the above should also work. You can also check with your host as they may have custom commands or an interface option.

    TADA!

    Indeed

    "Turn on code blocks"

Command Blocks are already on once you activate cheats. You just have to manually give them to someone (same in all versions). In order to get a Command Block for...

Yourself - /give either @p (nearest player) or your name command_block

    Others - /give either @a (all players) or their specific name(s) command_block

NOTE: You will have to be in Creative Mode in order to place/set up command blocks.

    TADA!

    That's it!

    That's all that is desired.

Well, if you have other questions, please start your own topic and we'll help as best we can. :D

posted a message on Is there a way to import a world from Minecraft PC (1.10.2) to Minecraft:Windows 10 Beta?

All I can say is. give it time. Addons are still VERY new and they are actively being worked on by Mojang to allow more and more things. Soon, we'll have everything that can possibly be added from Java/PC Edition and more. If we can get more of the Java/PC modders to work on addons, it would help. As stated before, don't expect everything in Java to make it's way into MCPE/Win10. Some things just aren't possible, whether it be caused by a java bug (BUDs and quasi-connectivity) or the simple limitation of our version having to run on smartphones.

posted a message on How to edit the base file and skinpacks in the Minecraft windows 10 edition file?

If you want a different skin for your character in game then you can just import it via in game. If you want the default alex and steve skins to be different, then you are sadly out of luck. Mojang removed the ability to change the look of the default skins when capes fully came out. For some reason, they don't want ppl to use custom skins with capes.

posted a message on Connected Glass Texture Pack in MCPE?

Sadly, Not yet. However, I can say that it's being looked into.

Edit: After some thought, I think this should be possible once we are allowed to change how blocks function via addons.
