TDS200 posted a message on Minecraft Forums Staff Appreciation Thread!Posted in: Forum Discussion & InfoI think all the volunteers that keep the forums a clean safe place for minecrafters. Need a great big thank you for all they do! They keep inappropriate content away, help users solve just about any problem(with the forums) and much more. So, if you feel the same way leave a comment below to tell them thanks as well.

Orangejuce90 posted a message on Defender VillagersPosted in: MCX360: SuggestionsA new kind of villager that spawns randomly with normal villagers, or with a spawn egg, as different forms of defender's such as; Soldier, Archer, Dwarf, Wizard. Instead of hiding at night they remain at guard.
The Soldier runs in with his iron blade and armor. Or patrols the inside of the town.
The Archer runs to the flank with leather armor while shooting a bow. Or patrols the outskirts of town, and will retreat back to town to warn of danger.
The short Dwarfs run into battle with an iron axe and iron armor with high health regeneration. Or wanders around town randomly.
The wizard sets back providing health to allies and various potion's for defence, offence, and support. Or climbs and sit in towers.
Then have a program just like a monster spawn block that has various waves depending on the block used, for example;
The overworld spawn block sends its first wave on the second night. The first wave-
2 Slimes
2 Zombies
1 Skeleton
The underworld spawn sends its first wave on the third day. The first wave-
2 Magma Cubes
2 Zombie Pigmen
1 Blaze
Then allow for the block to face a direction that the various monsters will spawn and march towards in waves of increasingly stronger monsters, while some of the monsters spawn and patrol a small area around the block.
This could allow for a kingdom war like system if the waves were spread out properly. I personally would find much satisfaction in something like this.
What do you think?

UpUp_Away95 posted a message on Inevitability. The talk that needs to happenPosted in: MCX360: DiscussionI think the 1.8.8 Bug Fix update or updates that are coming should be the last. We need this bug fix (or bug fixes) to at least get some of the lag issues that some players are experiencing back under control... and then I'd like to see them add the ability to "select" biomes and biome ratios in survival worlds as a parting exclusive gift to us "small world" dwellers.

You're welcome, Akynth.

They're good. Do you see the green box with the white arrow at the bottom of my post? The zero next to that is how many "thanks" a post has. It's a way of liking someone's comment.
For instance, I clicked it on your post, you now have 8 Thanks, 1 for this, and 7 for others.
Edit: One other thing, when people have thanked/liked your post, you can click on the number next to the arrow, to see who liked it. And to see what posts have been liked, click on your username in the upper right corner of the page, and click "Reputation". There you can see what posts have how many likes/thanks and what posts you've liked/thanked.

Of what I've seen, I like this one best for Koumus. It's different - a good different. I'll get around to mine shortly.

I believe your unidentified blocks are Andersite, Diorite, and Granite, and their polished counterparts.

I can't say I know what's causing the issue, but to stop losing your text, open a program (like Notepad on Windows) and type it out there first, text coding included. Save what you typed, then copy and paste into the bio box when ready. Then you'll have a backup of what you typed.

I believe if a moderator thought it was truly pointless, off the topic of MC, or breaking any rules, it would have been locked or deleted way back in 2012 when it started.

Congrats Beltir!

They could, but I don't believe ads should ever be that invasive.

1If the OP (or anyone for that matter) can post on a locked thread, it basically renders that function useless. Besides, if they post more, they may 2continue breaking a rule the thread was locked for... Or worse, start retaliating against a mod or admin that locked the thread publicly. Hence we don't want them to do anything about it. In my opinion, that's worse negativity than any negativity gained from being advised of the rules in a locked thread. 3You'd be surprised. I have had users private message an apology to me, warning or not. That, and if it were a huge issue to be seen as the OP as a locked thread, maybe a mod or admin would delete it for them. It would be up to said mod/admins discretion.
So, I for one do not support this suggestion. I don't see it ever being implemented to be honest. Regardless I say thanks for the input.

I kinda agree, it would be nice to see something more related to Minecraft. Maybe something like a continually rotating Minecraft clock like below, just minus the stops, and maybe faster. (Pic linked from Wiki.)
