Slimes are, "swimming." As far as I am aware slimes are not supposed to be able to jump in water, or get out.

This thread is not for the current title update. Please visit the most recent known bugs thread in the link below.

Why is cobalt miner not mentioned in this post, maybe in a different section?

This is how one user explained it: There was a change in forum software (and aesthetic changes). It used to be 3rd party but it's something else now (which I can't think of). The new Minecraft Forum used be in beta (which any member could be part of) and beta testers would receive the custom forum title "Cobalt Miner" when it was over.

This post should help explain that.

I noticed it too, brought it up amongst the admins. I think the arrow is fine. But the thumbs up could look ok if it was white, and not hovering over the arrow.

If only the one was as easy to clear as clicking it, right? I really hope this doesn't confuse me now... I liked the distinctness of the bell. :\

posted a message on Did I Encounter Herobrine???
    Quote from KrayZ_GG»

So my two friends and I were playing on an online world together where I built a floating house. We had gone into the Nether and my one friend (Zelkai) had kept the Wither Skull that we found in his inventory (more on that in a bit).

My other friend went to leave the world but stayed in the party chat, while Zelkai and I stayed on the world. He suddenly had to go hell with some house chores and, because it was his world, he didn't edit and went AFK.

For 5 straight minutes nothing happened, but an odd thing happened that I couldn't see Zelkai's GT in its usual spot where he hid himself in case he didn't get back before the evening. I thought nothing of it at that time however and continued to work on my house. However, when I climbed up my ladder, the doors to my house (originally closed) were now open. Sitting right there was the Wither Skull, staring at me (creepy sounding, I know).

I called out to Zelkai thinking he had come back and was trolling me, but I only heard an echo signalling he wasn't there. I gathered the Wither Skull and just ignored what happened. Then I suddenly saw Zelkai wandering around on the ground below me. I climbed down and called out again, asking if he was back. Still an echo.

It looked exactly like him; same skin, same GT, same armour and weapon. So, I tested him and hit him to see if he would yelp or shout or something to give him away. But nothing came. The instant I hit him he went into full battle mode and even if I paused he didn't, and usually he stops when I do. So I attacked him until I killed him. He INSTANTLY respawned, no pauses or anything. And he didn't spawn at his bed, either!

I quickly climbed back up to my house to 'escape' him. As time passed he continued to do things such as drown himself, swim in lava, and fall from high places. I decided to go back down and see what was going on. When I got down I immediately saw his GT behind a pile of dirt blocks. He was crouching as if hiding from me. As soon as he looked at me he immediately brought out his iron sword and started attacking me! I attacked him, and during the fight I heard in my headset footsteps meaning that Zelkai was coming back. I killed him and his headset was being put on, and he shouted at me "WHY DID YOU KILL ME?!".

When I told him the story he didn't believe me at all! It's been nearly a year and yet I still haven't let it go. Zelkai recalls when looking on the map he saw three people and not two, and when I pressed the 'back' button there was only Zelkai and I.

He had nobody else but he and his mom in his house on that day, and I still have a hard time believing him but I also still think it could've been Herobrine, despite him being a complete hoax. What do you guys think?

(As a note; we have never modded, used glitches, or hacked our games or our X360's, so that can't be the case.)

Do not post hoaxes on the forums, such as posts about Herobrine. Herobrine has never been, nor is currently in any version of Minecraft. If you know it's a hoax, you should know it is not real.

Well, I'm glad I read this. It's unfortunate that so many people are having this issue.

Unfortunately, I'm not convinced 4J even reads this "Help & Support" forum... haven't seen a 4J person on here for ages and ages. Perhaps try contacting them through their Twitter.

For this reason, I would remind you all about, and recommend, using Mojang's Official Bug Tracker to report this problem and hopefully get it fixed.

Before you get upset that your Minecraft crashed, check the changelogs to see if they aren't fixing your issue already. TU32 should be out soon with a massive list of fixes. If it isn't on the list, report it on Mojang's Bug Tracker in the link below. Make sure you specify what you were doing at the exact moment it crashed, so they can fix the issue directly.

posted a message on Seriously, what happened to the suggestions forum?
    Quote from McRiveter»

    Oh hey check this out.

This is someone who made constantly made stupid threads and almost all of them got locked. Was it not clear enough this guy is just another joke spammer? I think some mods here need to go through a boot camp to teach them how to spot joke threaders.

Actually, if you look at this poster's profile only a few have been locked. Reasons being stated in each thread due to wishlists. Wishlists are comprised of two or more suggestions that are not closely related. In the particular thread you've linked, the suggestions all follow a theme closely. And even though to you or someone else, it may seem absurd, it's not breaking any rules. As a moderator posted "People have a right to post their opinions about this suggestion. Please refrain from telling people to stop." This includes telling the any user including the OP to stop.

Simply put; if it doesn't break the rules, there isn't much to be done. Any registered user on this forum may post a suggestion, regardless of how logical or absurd it may or may not be to others, so long as it does not violate forum rules. We aren't here to censor user's content based on whether or not it looks like a joke.

I do not moderate any of the PC sections including the one you are having issues with. I only moderate console sections. However whether or not a report is filed, moderators use their best judgement to determine if a post violates the rules, and will be taken care of as deemed fit. In this case it has been reviewed, and left open to discussion. If you don't like a suggestion, you don't have to support it. Just ignore it, and move on.

This happens with me a lot as well. I just go in and take out the extra space. It doesn't take long. But I'm with you that I wish it wouldn't happen to begin with. No idea what causes it either. :\

    Quote from Cerroz»

This has nothing to do with what we're talking about... Did you post this in the wrong thread?

Nope. McRiveter posted a link above my last post, an example thread of what he sees as "vague suggestions". It was about adding a baby dragon to the game. I merely provided an example of what can be done with vague ideas under a certain circumstance. In this case, the thread was not removed for being vague, but locked and linked to the existing thread, which had more elaboration on the idea.

Even though it looks off topic, it wasn't. Just a suggestion - not vague ;) - about how to handle that example.

Sorry for the confusion, I was replying to this post:

    Quote from McRiveter»

It's stuff like this that just keeps happening.

It's a dumb, endless cycle. Vague thread gets posted, people ask for detail, repeat, repeat, repeat. This is the crap that happens when you remove rules. People will just come in here, make the same mistakes and never learn. Not to mention removing rules only spawn plethoras of joke threads. gg.

Well, search "dragon" in the search bar. Now make it an advanced search, and search only the suggestions section. See this thread: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-discussion/suggestions/2590561-hatching-the-dragon-egg ? Now go back to the thread you posted. Report it as a duplicate thread, since the idea has already been posted, and elaborated on. A moderator can take care of it.

In instances such as this, the thread can be dealt with. If it's a whole new suggestion, it's harder to deal with. But not every idea is a duplicate.

posted a message on Ocelot Taming Bug?

Well, the only Ocelot bug fix for TU32 is Fix for Ocelots not sprinting away from the player.

To be honest I think this could be why they are not taming. Something broke that tells the ocelots to run, but the code that makes them scared still works. So even though we think that we can take them since theyre not running, in reality, they're scared stiff - kinda literally - because of this bug, and not running away.
