It's probably been suggested before but quite honestly there's a lot of replies to look through and I'm here typing to suggest one idea already so I might as well just suggest them both here and save myself some pain.
1) Weather Control Device (maybe another terraformer blue print?) It can alter the weather in a Biome effectively changing it from or to desert/forest/snow and/or controlling when the weather occurs even making it constantly rain/snow/thunder (the second part is probably much more feasible).
2) Arrows that you place on the ground to show direction or something that's stack-able and takes fewer resources to make than signs. It's been done before in the 2x2 extended crafting (which sadly doesn't like to work with IC, at least not for me) where they are like signs in that they face a certain direction when you place them but you can right-click them to change where they are pointing and they come in a variety of colors. Maybe made from powdered glass or refined sand by macerating the glass or sand and then being able to dye them different colors.

Thank you for your great mod :smile.gif:
I like it, even though I have not been able to play it yet. (But I do have read the wiki and the full text of the first post :smile.gif:)
The main reason, why I’m writing this – besides to thank you – is that I have some suggestions:
Your mod makes it possible to gain nearly every material renewable by the use of energy (matter generator) and cobblestone/sugar cane/etc. (recycler), but there are at least two materials still missing: lapis lazuli and gravel.
Could you make lapis lazuli available by means of using the recycler or matter generator? I think of it being as rare as diamond, should you take the recycler.
Concerning gravel, I thought of getting it by macerating stone (and getting sand still by macerating cobblestone).
One could also get it out of a scrap box, if you like that better :smile.gif:
The last one is to make your mod less iron-intensive by providing alternative ways to craft the machines.
What about making it possible to create some sort of “raw” gear out of four planks in the corners surrounding a piece of log, which can then be crafted into a finished gear by surrounding it with four (or eight) combined carbon fibers and compressing this?
Five of these gears could then be used in conjunction with three refined iron ingots to craft a machine block.
What do you think about them?

is it even possible to "relocate" the auto miner safely ? when i break it down i only get the machine block back :sad.gif:
Use a wrench. :wink.gif:

As far as I can make out, he only announced server changes, not client ones.
With any luck, 1.6.6 will only affect SMP, much like 1.5_02.
Even if it is just server changes, Al does maintain an SMP mod, included in the download. When Notch updates the server, he may alter the obfuscation code (there is also the possibility that he won't). I can see why Al would wait, it'd stave off the "WHY CAN'T I PLAY SMP?" posts (as many people do not know how to read and just look for the "Download" Button).
