Hello, and thanks for taking interest in my texture pack. 
One question that's often raised on this forum is "How long does it take to make a Resource Pack?" Mint Flavor was a personal challenge to answer that question by creating a resource pack as quickly as possible, while still trying to keep a certain standard of quality and make a product that someone might actually want to use.
It took me 36 days of work over the span of two and a half months to complete 100% of all of the vanilla Minecraft texture assets. Some interesting facts about how long it took me to make certain aspects of the pack can be found in the spoiler below. Sufficed to say, it was an interesting challenge, and I hope that you enjoy the end result of it! 
● Item textures were finished in just four days, counting the worn armor textures. With 215 item textures in the pack, that means I made approximately 53.75 items per day.
● There are 86 total textures for entities, which were finished over the course of ten days. That's only 8.6 entity textures I was able to create each day. Entity textures are VERY time consuming.
● GUI Elements were completed in just four days. With 41 GUI Elements in Minecraft as of 14w21b, that means I created approximately ten GUI images per day. This includes the ones that only have a few icons on them (because Mojang cannot see clear to use their GUI texture sheets efficiently), and demonstrates just how long it takes to get good layouts for these things in spite of the very minimalist style I used for the pack.
● Paintings were the most difficult thing for me to do simply because I had a HUGE amount of artists block. I couldn't think of what to do for them, but the ideas slowly came to me over the course of three days making my rate a measly 8.7 paintings per day.
This texture pack, and images contained therein, are licensed to all downloaders under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International Public License.

• Click "Options..."
• From the Options menu, click "Resource Packs"
• Click "Open resource pack folder" at the bottom of the screen. This will open a folder on your computer.
• Move or copy the .zip file you downloaded from one of the links above into this folder. Drag and drop, copy and paste, or however else you prefer to move files
• Do NOT unzip the file.
• Close this folder, and return to Minecraft.
• You should now see "Mint Flavor.zip" as one of the options in the Resource Packs menu on the left-hand side.
• Hover over the icon and you should see a > arrow. Click it. This should move "Mint Flavor.zip" to the right-hand column.
• Click "Done" at the bottom of the Resource Packs menu.
• After a moment's wait, the textures should change.
• Enjoy playing Minecraft!
Right now this isn't so much an actual Frequently Asked Questions section as it is a section of questions that I know are going to be frequently asked and that I'd like to answer before they annoy me. Please read this section before asking me stuff. Thanks. 
A: Read the License. You can basically do whatever you want as long as you: 1) give me credit and link back to this thread, 2) make no money from it (including from ads) unless it's a video (such as those found on youtube.com), and 3) release your work under the same license that this pack is released under.

Q: I can't read/don't understand/don't want to follow the license. May I just ask your permission?
A: If this is the case, the answer is "no you may not."
Q: Will you add mod support for to this pack?
A: No. This pack is going to stay vanilla only. At least, from me it is. If someone else wants to make a mod support add-on pack for Mint Flavor I'll be happy to link to it. I won't be making one, though, as I already have quite enough to do adding mod support to my other pack,
Q: How about MCPatcher/Optifine features?
A: Again, I'm not going to go beyond vanilla for this pack. If someone else wants to do it, that's fine and I'll be happy to link to your work if it's of decent quality. I'm not going to make it, though, just because of the time element involved.

Q: Why don't you use adf.ly?
A: Adf.ly is probably the most reliable per-click revenue stream available at the moment, but I refuse to do business with them because of the practices of the advertisers they do business with. In particular, I've seen several ads that try to download, or trick you into downloading, software that contains spyware/malware. No amount of money they can pay me is worth the guilt I'd feel knowing that I contributed to even a single person's computer getting infected by that garbage.

I don't like them at all. I "grew up" with the old textures and they are very iconic to most people. Being only 16x resolution, another thing I prefer about them is how "crisp" they look compared to the newer ones which just feel soft and plastic-y. I would much rather prefer that they just make some small improvements to the current textures rather than create entirely new ones.

I agree to a certain extent, but at the same time I do enjoy the "fantasy" aspects of the game. I would still prefer more ores and stuff like that, though.

I personally think a gamerule to revert to the old system would be better (heck, the community has been asking for one for over a year) because that way the big servers would be able to fully update without loosing their entire playerbase.

Falsely? People have reasons other than that "they just cant stand change". I still think 1.9 is bad because of the slowed down combat (and don't try telling me that 1.8 required no skill and is stupid) as well as the fact that combos are gone (but then again, that could be a good thing depending on how you look at it) and all that other stuff. This is the same reason the largest servers in the world (mineplex, Hypixel, etc) still haven't updated, because 98% of their playerbase prefers the 1.8 style combat.
I still don't understand why they can't just add a gamerule to revert to 1.8 combat. Literally every single problem would be solved, and nobody would be forcing each other to use one or the other.

I normally would stay out of stuff like this, but sometimes it seems I am being "followed" too. It seems like I am always being told off all the time for the same reason. "off topic posting". It isn't the same as insulting, but my most recent one came from when I posted in another one of those "Minecraft is dying" threads, I said that it would be nice if a rule was put on threads that said Minecraft is dying, and next thing I know get yet another warning for "off topic posting". Now, I could understand this, but I see other users making posts like this all the time and they never get punished, so yes I do suspect that certain users are being followed.

The thing is, if you PAY for Minecraft you should be able to use it no matter what. If it was free, that would be different. So what if someone still uses XP or Vista? Not everyone has $100 to upgrade to windows 10. (myself included)

Yes, a small bump I know, but something needs to be done about this. I have NEVER had an adfly page not try to trick me into downloading malware or calling fake tech support. Here is an example. What's funny is that I wasn't even on windows. But yes, something needs to be done about this. Adfly is nothing but a cesspool of viruses and malware.

For the millionth time, MINECRAFT. IS. NOT. DYING. Seriously, if I had a penny for every time I saw a thread like this, I would be the new Bill Gates.
Also, adding planets cars and planes is a very stupid idea. Minecraft is not GTA you know.

Finally, someone has the EXACT same opinion I do. I don't have Minecraft merchandise, but I loved the game and it was not until last year I got my own account. (I knew about the game since 2012 and always played the xbox version with friends.) Around the time I got my own account (January 2015) it seems that Minecraft's decline started. I am much older than 11 but feel the same way about the game. Also, it's not just toxic kids who have ruined it. it's anyone who wanted the game to be more challenging and Mojang only listened to them and nobody else. It looks like it will stay this way and only get worse as the game gets farther away from what it was originally about and turns more and more into a hard combat game. I mostly quit after the 1.9 update and seeing how mojang is paying NO attention to anyone but whoever wants the game to have harder combat. The reason this causes "bad" players to join is because about 99% of the new players are kids who want to FIGHT not BUILD and in turn they are in general just meaner.
