This is so nice for the average player. waypoints are nice to keep track of things such as towns and spawn, along with secret spots. The tab to enter commands is soooo useful!! it makes everything simple along with the text on screen help!!
Maybe you could add teleporting to the way points and naming of way points?
Or Allow the AUSOM mini map to track ores?
When I finish with the new interface, all commands, etc... will be in an in-game menu.
It'll have the option to store/name/display multiple waypoints.
Hmm. . . . .
A while ago before the Holloween update Zaneris had PM'ed me with some questions about his mod. I guess he thought I was the best person to ask becuase of OSMS.
I'll leave out the parts that are unimportant to my current point which is that eventually said conversation led to me asking him if he would make a mod with a different function.
My idea is pretty much the same thing as the MAXI-Stack mod except that it would apply to all items, including tools, and food, and anything else that doesn't normally stack at all. Except that food & tools would be useless when stacked, for balance reasons.
I PM'ed him not too long ago asking him again if he would try to make it. He said he might try if he as the time, so don't get your hopes up.
Hope this is close to what you wanted me to do Zaneris, Laterz.
Looks really good. I will try it.
EDIT:I just noticed the versionis 1.2.0_1 will it work with the last one version? or it will make it crash?
It works with the latest, 1.2.1_01, if you want to use it with the 2 older ones 1.2.0_01 or 1.2.0_02, you can download the mac patch, extract all class files but d.class. d.class is the only file that needed changing for today's update.
Lahwran will be maintaining the minimap from now on, it's only fair to you guys since I've been neglecting it. At least this way, you will see new content added more frequently.
Once I've got it stable again, some kind of cave mode is next on the horizon. In keeping with the ethos of keeping it non-cheaty however, I will be making sure that it can't be used to spy behind walls.
I'm currently re-doing all of the chat stuff from 0.7, which is technically going to be in its own plugin, but once it's there will let me bind keys to toggle the map on and off again. I will have another go at the patcher to make it more crystal clear how to install this, especially when it comes to not deleting other mods at the same time. For the people that are doing it right, it seems to be working though, which is good.

You can copy my code for it, although you probably have a better understanding of OpenGL than I do, I kinda scraped that part together.
Directional variable is minecraft>bi>aq or this.game.g.aq when accessed from your zz class.
Cave maps is going to be a nice addition, looking forward to it. :biggrin.gif:
Well, thanks for carrying on work on it - I find it amusingly ironic that having spent a load of time reversing Minecraft to make it in the first place someone reversed my code. Hope it didn't give you nightmares ;P Throw the source at mrmessiah (at) gmail.com and I'll take a look. Next version won't have this in - I just want to get it back out there first. Which will be soon
Hey, yeah I sent the code for my changes with as many comments as I could think of :tongue.gif:
Luckily your variables were named somewhat in relation to what they did, so it only gave me a headache for like 2 days, lol, it was a fun task though.
The download still has a full minecraft.jar in it.
The right thing to do if you wanted your work added to the mod would have been to privately contact MrMessiah, not break the rules like you're still doing, and not try to get people to just grab yours instead -- in his thread no less.
Lmao, thanks for pointing that out, slight oversight, I didn't mean to copy the jar into it as well, fixed that :s
Anyway, I won't work on it anymore now that MrMessiah wishes to continue with it.
As I said, the only reason that I started doing anything with it in the first place is because he stated that he would no longer work on the project.
I can understand hosting the stuff for yourself, but I am pretty sure it's against the forum rules to post that link. Might be best to just extract your changed files and PM them to MrMessiah.
Also did you start off with his mod code, or work from scratch? Just curious.
Done and done, I swapped the jar for just the class files, I started from where MrMessiah left off, so he deserves due credit.
Edit: Just re-uploaded the class files with a ReadMe included.
Holy crap man, you're redistributing the whole Minecraft jar file! That definitely crosses the line. Individual class files is a grey area but the entire game? You should adapt to using the patcher as well and take down those jars.
Yeah, no kidding, this was a private thing, I had no intention of ever making it public, but since MrMessiah is returning to work on the minimap, well...

That's all I'll say to start.
The rest of the message has been removed so as to not impose on MrMessiah now that he has a new version up.
Good luck :wink.gif:
