I know that the OP has declared this thread closed, but seriously, give him a break. I don't like hairy black evil squirmy big spiders climbing my walls at night!
It's agreed that he doesn't want to switch to peaceful and back to get rid of it.
And that he doesn't want to have to add a lip over the city wall.
SOLUTIONS:
SMP: Try to stay on the inside of your wall as much as possible at night if you don't want to fight. That way, they won't detect you, so they won't climb over the walls. If that doesn't work, make a nightly room underground.
SSP: Single Player Commands offers an awesome command called "killnpc [ALL]", because it will kill all the non-player characters around you. Plus, you get tons of other cool commands :ohmy.gif:

Thanks for the ssp note, but smp won't work. Spiders can see through walls. :s

I haven't published it yet because I'm still working on the Giant Creeper mob, the Dragon mob, and other new items.

i see EXACTLY what your asking for. You people that keep telling him to switch to peaceful and back, think. That destroys ALL monsters. And he wants them. along with spiders, just not climbing, so he can actually keep them out of his city. I support this if someone wants to make it, but I can't mod nor have I seen a single spider crawling for me, but I'm also indoors all the time.

Dude you need to learn to read posts within their context. After reading what you said on your previous post and THEN reading my post it'll make more sense.
Also, I didn't mix up before and after. My post on baby creepers in my Minecraft Advanced mod thread was created BEFORE this request thread. So there is no way that I stole the idea.

Dont throw a tantrum when someone suggests an alternative that isnt Exactly what you suggested.
I'm not looking for help, I'm looking for a mod that stops spiders climbing, both for me, and my server. I don't want to sacrifice the epicness of my city walls just to keep out gay crawling meatballs.

I am aware that it will keep monsters from killing the people in the city, but still, I can't have spiders crawling everywhere in my city.
And also, I can't have cuboid in my singleplayer worlds.
