Same, nothing I tried would work, even after removing RF Tools, just in case there was a conflict.

I did notice however that any Buildcraft pipe or machine connecting to something from NeoTech will immediately crash the game. Whether it's putting a wooden kinesis pipe to the furnace generator, or trying to use a Buildcraft engine to power a NeoTech machine/energy storage. Not sure if you knew about this issue or not. I didn't plan to mix the two mods anyway, just didn't expect a complete game crash x.X

I still plan on using NeoTech's grinder at least, early game ore doubling is awesome :D

So...how am I supposed to connect the energy pipes, exactly? I made energy interface pipes, but they don't connect to any of the machines, only to each other. Doesn't matter if I specifically set each side of the pipe to output or input. Simply put, nothing transfers RF from the generator to the machines. I can't just put them adjacent to the generator either, nothing I try seems to do anything.

I know how to access the GUI for the pipes with the wrench, and that I need to power the Thermal Binder so I can attach upgrades to motherboards...but I can't get any power to the machine, so I'm kind of stuck.

I'd be glad to, but what version of Minecraft is this for?
The zip file only contains a .lnk file... where is the map?

posted a message on [forge 1.6.4] Micro's Furnace Tutorials [will update all parts to 1.6.4]
I want to say thanks to microjunk for this very useful series of tutorials on making custom furnaces. I have searched several other sites for this information, but good info is few and far between. Most tutorials are for older versions of Minecraft, or don't cover enough to be actually useable for someone new to making their own furnaces.

A Protected class can only be used by its parent or child classes, it can't be used outside of that scope. In the first furnace tutorial (the youtube videos), the BlockFurnace class in the source code is a PUBLIC class, not Protected. You're probably getting that error because the compiler assumes you're trying to call a protected class that can't be accessed by the main code file.

it made my minecraft more laggy

    :(

Play with the settings a bit. Generally Optifine tells you if an option will reduce performance or not. You have greater control over things now, like how and when Minecraft loads chunks. You can turn off or lower settings your computer doesn't like. Some of the default settings are lag-tastic on my PC, but turning off weather, lowering render distance, or enabling smooth loading, all those things help boost my FPS considerably.

It's possible that the modpack depends on NEI being installed, or another mod in the pack requires it for whatever reason. Luckily you can disable NEI in-game if you don't want it. I do that often, mainly because NEI lags my game if I leave it on. I actually use CraftGuide for looking up recipes, it's much friendlier to my crappy PC.
