Here's the pitch: Whatever I tried, shaders seem to be broken once you add any other mod. Trying to get shaders to work in a modpack at 1.12.2 feels like activating a bomb while trying to deactivate it: No matter how you do it, it blows up in your face.
I tried it all the ways told, shown, conceived and even others. No matter if MultiMC or not, it never works.
info: the max height and depth should be exactly 32767 which is maximum integer value.
I also like the idea of being able to specify a bedrock layer depth. On this thought, I am wondering if the current cubic chunks actually has a bedrock layer at all? does it?
if it does have a bedrock layer does it generate any blocks below that level? I would hope not but ... ?
In theory it should have a layer and no blocks should be beneath it.
I like having one of each personally, seeking ice and fire ones, curse you witches that will drink fire resistance pots if im not throwing fireballs fast enough

THAT thing will be quite powerful. The advanced focus just has not got enough power for me. Neither did ice ._.
But taint at lv 5 packs a punch with split. 16 damage.

Dumb question: So, if I were to place a block from a mod (say, a chair from mrCrayfish) above the height of 256, would it crash the game?

If the cubic chunks mod would be that unstable, there would not be a downloadable version of it yet. Trust me. The fact that there even are chunks in the Y-Coordinate means that the 255 rule of "how hight can it go" is dead. At least block wise. It could be possible that 255 CHUNKS are the max, which I actually doubt.
Means you have not to worry about such things at all. But I would be careful with all "world editing" mods. It might not work yet. Might.

You might know more: Why has no 1.12 version cropped up?
Is the modder busy with real life?
Did 1.12 do a thing that now it is quite hard to get X-Ray to 1.12?
