posted a message on Difficulty increase (Balanced and noob friendly!)
    Hey there!

We all know the difficulty of Minecraft today, some including:

    Peaceful mode:
A mode where you take damage only from lava, falling and suffocating. The damage is reduced by 50% overall and you do not need to worry about your hunger as you won't ever be hungry!Hostile mobs don't spawn.

    Easy mode:
A mode where you take damage from hostile mobs.Mobs spawn and you take normal damage and your hunger depletes!

    Normal mode:
Same as easy but Mobs do more damage.

    Hard mode:
Same as Normal but you die from starvation and mobs deal much more damage.

    Now,the new stuff?!

So as you all know that once a new player makes a world,he completely knows nothing and Players are suggesting that Mojang should make the game harder but is it really that great for the new comers?

    Introducing the new difficulty system
The new difficulty system makes it almost impossible for a new player to come across a really difficult and almost impossible thing to stumble upon. How does this work you ask me?Well my friend,I am glad to say that it all works with the achievements!

    The new achievements mechanism
Now you have just spawned in a new world and you totally know nothing about the game. The achievements will guide you, also getting help from the wiki. Now after you complete all the achievements you will notice a new message on your chat saying that you unlocked a new tab in the menu and once you open your menu you will see a new achievements tab that lists almost every other technical thing you can do in a game.

    How is this noob friendly?
Well I'm glad you asked because you see, once you complete all the regular achievements you won't be a noob anymore(depends if you are a new player)and once you unlock the new tab you will be able to know more about the technical things you can do in Minecraft but sort of in an achievement style which adds more excitement and enthusiasm into gameplay(especially for new players)so from a new player you will basically become like any other professional player out there in about two weeks or more.

Each achievement will tell you how to do that particular achievement in order to unlock it and move on.
Once you have unlocked the regular achievements you will be introduced by a new tab called 'Technical Achievements' where each one will also have a brief description and a description of how to unlock that certain achievement.
It will vary from redstone based things to mob farms and even to collecting discs.

    Will it affect gameplay?
It actually won't as it will make the game easier for the new players and even the players who haven't discovered all that much about the game.Even the ones who missed out a couple of versions will be able to catch up!

It's a neat little thing that won't affect gameplay at all and just make the game more user friendly.

This may or may not be implemented but make sure to support it if you like the idea.

Pictures may not come up because I'm not that great at editing but you should be able to imagine what it looks like!

Any fan made pictures for the topic would be appreciated!

    Thank You.

    Quote from BluePony

Although it took him a year and half to add basic stuff to minecraft, the features he created were balanced and fitted in minecraft really well.

Don't forget the full of unbalaced crap part.

Notch was a programmer AND a designer. Jeb is just a man that adds to minecraft every that crosses his mind without thinking the consequences that it will have in the game.

The Nether and the End were implemented by Notch. If you are going to do comparisons like that at least take the time to verify if your information is right.
Also, what do ocelots, your "awesome biomes", NPCs and The Pretty Scary Update have of special? Ocelots just scare a mob that almost never kills you, your "awesome biomes" are just an aesthetic thing that doesn't have any purpose, NPCs already existed and Jeb just give them the ability to trade which is OP (Diamond gear out of paper? Seriously?), and don't get me started on The Pretty Scary Update, because it just added:

-Things that no one uses: beacons, mob heads...
-Things that are plain stupid: experience for fishing and breeding, bats...
-Things that are OP: witches drops, anvil...
-Artificial difficulty: creepers exploding instantly when falling, skeletons and zombies with armor and weapons.
If you don't like the new versions then just go play Beta and your problem is solved!

Hey don't make fun of rafts because one day you might need one and then it'll turn you down and sail the other way, leaving you to the sharks and a starving Notch. You have been warned...
Speaking about being a bit too harsh..

I prefer LAN then any other thing else.

    Quote from Nepenthesis

We've looked 2 hours today and 3 hours yesterday in every rendered forest/taiga biome and we've explored new ones and nothing...

Mobs are on, there are sheep and cows and horses and zombies and everything else... Yet there are no wolves?!
If nothing works then I am sorry to say that you have to spawn them in.

    Quote from ponygirlCombs

    To get a player head, it's really simple. Do; /give @p 397 1 3 {SkullOwner:ponygirlCombs}
ponygirlCombs is my minecraft username so obviously you can put anyone elses name where mine is to give you their head! Also, you must have cheats on to do this, as far as I know it only works in 1.6, but it might work in older versions. :D
Please do not bump really old posts like those or you will get banned.
Anyways as you all see, this was posted in November 2012 so yeah...
This should be closed by now.

Check if you have mobSpawning set to true otherwise mobs won't spawn.
Oh and another thing, passive mobs spawn only in light level above 7.

posted a message on Your Funniest Rage! :-D
I spent about 14 hours on a hardcore server with supremely rare chances of getting iron and a very common chance of getting diamond.
So I found this piece of iron ore and I mined it and this person came with no armor at all and pushed me into a whole and got all my stuff.
And I died with nothing left.

    2. Talking about 1.8 BETA-1.6, that terrain was crap, it took them way too long to fix it
    4. All 50,000 of the new decoration blocks
There isn't 50,000 blocks in Minecraft.
You're basically just a complainer like the rest of the butt hurt users out there.
    Quote from RawrTara

Because it's not like Minecraft is a building game or anything, right? /sarcasm

I mean really? The blocks don't affect your gameplay at all (not even slightly), why dislike them? That's so stupid. They add more blocks for people interested in building to build with. How can you actually dislike more variety if it doesn't negatively affect your gameplay experience? Just wow...
