One of the mods in Bug Tracker Said that this update has some re-balancing done with performance, to better share resources with FPS and with chunk loading.
so ye, you will experience lag and slow loading chunks.

so In 1.14, I normally get 90 fps.
my game settings:
16 render distance
fancy graphics.
when I update my game in 1.15.
my Fps dropped and its now 34-50 fps
just what the heck happened?

the report states that: Basically, when there are a ton of zombie pigmen, blazes, and/or ghasts in an area of a nether fortress, nether fortress mobs, like skeletons and wither skeletons will not spawn unless you kill a lot of the other mobs

updated: There are still blocks underwater, I think the rendering is the problem here.
