Fathers are really under appreciated in these modern days, it's great to see a little respect for them here.

The funniest part here is that all the people trashing Facebook, are probably running off to Facebook to post about it to their friends.....
Seriously, this is the most immature "business" decision I've ever seen. Canning a huge deal that most of your customers probably still want, based solely on the fact a company "creeps you out"? Yeah... real business like. The only one who pays for Notch's irrational paranoia are the MC fans looking forward to official Oculus support. All these wild conspiracy theories flying around about the future of the Oculus now that Facebook owns it are baseless at this point. Its almost certainly going to be delivered as the product everyone expected, perhaps just a little quicker. The ideas that its somehow not going to work with games, or that its going to be a lesser quality product, or that you will need to run it through Facebook are crazy. Sure, Facebook might develop functions for the Rift.... but so what? The notion that VR would stay in the realm of gaming and only gaming is equally crazy.
You know, Notch is a very unremarkable man for what he does. Anyone who has modded MC knows that his programming ability is terrible, his game design ability is questionable, and he is clearly no businessman. He would probably not be able to get a job with any major game development studios with his lack of talent. Yet he got incredibly lucky with Minecraft, a mash up of features borrowed from other games (that itself started as a clone of another game) with no originality what so ever... and he should accept that lightning doesn't strike twice, take his millions, and retire somewhere never to be heard from again laughing all the way. It would be the best possible thing for the future of Minecraft and the gaming community as a whole if he just vanished, because far too many people view him as some sort of expert on game development... and its never good when unremarkable and untalented people are viewed as experts.

You cannot command me. Let me copy the text:
This page contains content on features that will be included in a future update.
These features are confirmed, but not yet added to the game.
IS THERE A PROBLEM? It says confirmed.

Go into global operations, select "fill with biome" then use the "only on" feature, in the drop down box at the very bottom there is a second list that is labeled "auto biomes". Select the plains and you should be good to go.

You can import that heightmap into world painter and it will raise up the brush for you. Use file->import-> import heightmap.
0
In the import screen you can adjust the level of the heightmap. Near the bottom left, it says something like "Image bottom" or Image top". Fiddle around with the settings and you should get the results you need.

You can make plants into mcedit schematics and paint them in using normal custom object layers, it gives you much more control.

Try going to view> workspace layout, then click "reset current and default". That might work.

Well, why not? Care to actually explain the difference?

You could use the same argument to say that Japanese men wearing business suits are racist.

The brush rotation has changed, instead of the picture of the brush rotating, there is an arrow on your cursor pointing to which way the brush is facing. It was to reduce lag. And I'm not sure about the mountain tool thing, but it's probably a bug.

The new feature and the tile export works great. Thanks for all your hard work.

I think I've found a bug. WP doesn't import layers from file anymore, I select Import from file, select the layer, but after that nothing happens. I'm using the newest beta version.

Red, well, really more orange, and it seems to turn brown during the winter.

In the new beta, all of the custom objects I put into custom caves are cut completely in half:

Usually good, but I like to have at least one "bad" character.
