Good Evening, I'm currently in the early stages of my new MC project, which will become a large underground Zelda style temple inside a mountain. The main feature of this temple will be a massive, cylindrical chamber that would be fifty blocks tall (sixty-four if you include the domed ceiling) with a diameter of thirty-one blocks.
I rather not try too accomplish this using a map editor, so I'm appealing to the Minecraft community; does anyone have any advice, techniques or ideas for using TNT (unlimited amount) to excavate a large vertical chamber underground? Preferably in a controlled manner with a minimum amount of clean up after the fact.
