The spawn base seems like a good idea, except i have a good feeling that it's going to get removed in a newer version of indev. locking yourself in a cave seems too dangerous for me. >.> maybe i am just too weenie, but i like to watch around me and make sure there's nothing.
For me, I find it easiest and safest to dig into the side of a hill and make a sort of torchlit stone bunker to chill in during the night, crafting and relaxing until daybreak. Share your home styles!
I noticed that the tool for farming is called a hoe, and it is not actually a hoe. first of all it looks too much like a pickaxe, so i get confused sometimes when i am mining so slow (this is probably just because i am retarded). It looks more like a sickle. A hoe looks like this:
What i suggest is either making a new tool that looks like that to help with farming and leave the sickle to help gather seeds/wheat, or just change the model to that of a hoe. Comments?
As it is now, making arrows with iron is too costly, as they barely do any damage and I need the iron to make weapons (and armor eventually)... so maybe let us make stone arrows that give us 2 or something along those lines.
well... not exactly classes. you can change your proficiency the more you do. it's more like a real skill, where you hone your skills in a certain field and get better over time. no real "skillups" but milestones or something.
When multiplayer survival comes out, I think skill meters should be implemented. Such that like, If you mine more than you build, your mining gets better, and you can mine faster, or get bonus materials. Or if you build more, you can Have a chance not to consume the material when placing the block (low, like 1% chance), but you can only have one skill bonus. It wouldn't be major, but enough to put you into a certain role when you can.
1) It's very, very fun! I love it.
2) It's almost impossible to figure out how to make things. I think you should be able to find plans for items somehow, or start off with a basic one and gradually gather them as you gain resources. Any additions or other ideas to add on to this would be awesome.
