To be honest when the first time i saw this news. I was thinking you would need to make a wall of codes. But seing it with my own eyes to be honest. I'm amazed that Blocky is a type of coding. And that amazed me that Minecraft was created by doing the Blocky. Type of coding i'm just amazed.
It isn't.
Minecraft requires usage of variables and WHILE loops, something that is not supported by "blockys".
Also, even if Blockys supported variables and WHILE loops, Minecraft will have to be made up of walls of blockys even if it is made up of blockys.
It would probably be easier to make Minecraft out of command blocks than blockys. I hate blockys.

NO VARIABLES AT #6? THIS IS STUPID.
I WANT MY VARIABLES AND ARRAYS.
Also, this is really, really easy.
EDIT: This is rubbish. I got it already.
I think it took me 5 minutes in total, and only because my mouse accuracy is horrible.
Do you know why this is rubbish?
Bad UI (no hotkeys for quick placement)
No real variables (which means no incrementing number by 1 every time I want to make the player go in a spiral)
No AI to force the usage of variables

Split the effects between a full set of armor.

It breaks quite a lot of combat-based maps.

I did put detail on the Ender Inferno generator. There is a picture right at the top of the post.
I added that the specifics would be up to Mojang because Mojang's build style might be different/it may be too hard to code or memorise.

Pictured is an Ender Inferno generator. The exact specifics is up to Mojang, but I think it should require parts from the Ocean Monument, Ender City, and a Beacon to balance it.
Ender Infernos are 4-wide and 8-tall entities which randomly spawn in the End, after the Ender Dragon is defeated. They move slowly through the air, burning anything that touches them. The Ender Inferno's heat also forces air to rise, propelling anything in or up to 30 blocks above it 10 blocks higher. This behaviour extends to players using Elytra.
If they or whoever is burnt by them touches water, the inferno/residual fire will explode, dealing 6 damage (3 hearts) of damage.
Ender Infernos can also be generated by the structure pictured above. It will spawn a stationary Ender Inferno if an Ender Pearl is offered to the Beacon. Ender Infernos spawned by the structure will initially push entities 3 blocks higher, though this number can be increased by offering more Ender Pearls.

Not being able to output 1 attack every 0.1 seconds means Mojang is bringing Minecraft to a direction where huge mobs of mobs are going to be a problem.
It means the overall dps will be significantly reduced, making it harder to do a consecutive 3-hit kill on a creeper/skeleton/zombie. This is even more obvious when going against creepers, where being able to crit 3 times in a row means it is possible to kill a creeper with a stone sword without backing off.

Don't forget the reduced attack time/overall DPS the sword gained next patch. It is going to have a very high impact on combat, favoring single strikes over overall dps.

Since the next update will be focusing on combat, I think there should be a system where you can knock mobs off-balance by spinning them to one side.
Such a system will consist of the player aiming his sword on the side of the enemy's hitbox, turning the enemy to one side. After the enemy has been spun, it will find turning harder (cap turning rate), and the player will get the opportunity to stab his enemy in the back.
Such attacks could be blockable by the shield, if you have one. It will also be dodgeable by just moving away from the sword's swing.
I think such a system will increase the positioning required in Minecraft fights, so as to make it harder for someone to turn you to a bad angle.
