Sounds like horizontal positioning has gotten messed with a bit.

While this is a graphics driver setting, the location of the setting varies depending on your GPU vendor and driver version.

opened AMD control center and messed around with some display settings, moved the horizontal configuration and it SOLVED it! thanks!

The cursor is always visible in the right edge (at least the left column of its pixels). Is that what you see? I'm not sure I fully understood that part.

Have you tried shifting around the resolution?

what i meant was that i could move the cursor all the way off the screen, i could not even see that left column of pixels.

i SOLVED the problem now anyways, thanks for the assistance!

posted a message on my screen has shifted to the right. need help.
ok, so it seems that my (windows 7) task bar, and program window frames are too far off the right-hand side of my screen. so much that i can only see half of the [x] button on windows and i cannot see the aero-peek button thing.

my resolution seems to have not changed, and using the buttons on my monitor (viewsonic VP2250wb) the auto image adjust feature does nothing and the manual adjust does not help, because if i move my screen left, then it goes off the left. it cant be right.

its kind of like the screen is stretched off the side of the screen, but everything looks normal and proportional.

i cant provide a meaningful screenshot because when i his print-screen and paste it into Paint, the print screen shot appears normal and i can see the edges of the screen just fine.

i have no idea how this happened and i need help fixing the problem.

    thanks, please help.

EDIT: also forgot to mention that i CAN move the cursor off the right edge of the screen, so the bit i can see IS still there, just pushed off the edge somehow =/

    EDIT2: SOLVED. thanks guys.

posted a message on Google Chrome window opens slightly off. (please help)
Ok, so ever since I installed and have been using Rainmeter on my desktop, whenever I open Chrome the window sits maximized like normal except there is a small gap on the top of the screen where i can see through to my desktop wallpaper.

Now I always have to drag the window up to fully maximize it, every time i open Chrome. VERY ANNOYING and i need it fixed. Im sure some of you would understand how annoying it must be.

To give you a better idea of whats going on, heres some screenshots:

    When I open chrome: http://imgur.com/kr99L

    enlarged image showing detail: http://imgur.com/30P7d

So basically the window opens JUST AMOST fully maximised but leaves this tiny but up at the top that i can see through to the desktop. Need fix.

Windows 7, 64 bit. running Rainmeter and I've only had the problem since installing rainmeter. I do not get the issue with any other programs than Google Chrome.

If you have any idea whats going on here, or think you can help me solve it, PLEASE leave a comment and help me out. Thankyou!

posted a message on I want to make websites from scratch. What language do I start to learn?
I'm lucky enough to have a copy of Adobe Dreamweaver. Very easy program for putting together web pages using HTML and CSS. I'm learning it in school but it's very nice to use.

have you tried any of the obvious? running as administrator? compatibility mode? Fiddling with settings?

    • Running as administrator, doesn't work.
    • Compatibility mode, how do I do this?
    • Fiddling with settings, where/how?

If you can't attempt a repair or reinstall then you are going to just have to deal with it I'm afraid.

Well how does it decide to do this on it's own without any means of reversing it?

posted a message on Microsoft Office only opening in safe mode. Help!
Seemingly for no reason all the Ms Office programs are opening in safe mode, it doesn't effect performance but it's ugly as **** so I need it fixed. Trouble is, extensive Googling yielded no answers to my problem.

This is what it looks like: http://i.imgur.com/kCA5C.png

    I am running Windows 7 64bit.
Also just noticed that Ms Paint is under the same effect. Probably all Microsoft programs are effected at the moment.

So, can anybody help me fix this?
    Please and thank you.

posted a message on Bad Memtest86 failure. what's going on here?
I've had some issues with my computer as of late, and my tech-savvy friend suggested I run a Memtest86 scan on my RAM.

The test ran for about 5 minutes before i got this:

    http://imgur.com/dhEOk

It did not complete a single 'pass' and it failed at the point you see here. I re-ran the test and it failed again at the exact same number.

So what's going on, how do I solve it? and do I need to replace my ram?
    thanks in advance.

I guess you have to uninstall it, but then you would run on the graphics your CPU have, which you won't be able to do if you have a mobo with a P67 chipset.

As I don't know, you should probably wait fore someone else to confirm this.

    cheers

Go to this website for the drivers: http://support.amd.c...ages/index.aspx

Thanks. Do I need to uninstall my current driver if it's faulty, or does it over write itself? I updated my driver no longer than a month ago.

Can you upload your dump file? It's found in: "\Windows\Minidump"

From what I've read about this stop code it's most likely a problem with faulty drivers (Stop code: 0x000001E)

    And what are your specs?

Ok here are the 2 minidumps i got today.

    here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?wxsqmp3wzz53xqo

    and here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?z208qwh2icrl6b9

And how should I go about fixing my drivers?

Ok so I've had this problem before, but it seemed to just fix itself after a lot of restarts. Now it's happened again and I need to fix it, and avoid it happening in the future.
The problem is that I boot into a very dark screen. I can fix it somewhat by adjusting the gamma through control panel, but it only does so much, and it looks very strange still.
I've narrowed it down to a hardware issue because I took a screenshot from my computer and transferred the file to my laptop where the screenshot appeared normal colours.
Here is the photos for comparison:

What my desktop should look like

What my desktop looks like with the issue (taken with phone camera)

For more comparison here's the minecraft forums normally

And the minecraft forums how I'm seeing it right now see it right now (taken with phone camera)

Also got this bluescreen a few times while trying to solve the problem rebooting, I don't know what you can pull from it...

Thanks for any help you can provide, if it's relevant I am using a "Viewsonic VP2250wb" monitor and my graphics card is a Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 (2GB).
I built the computer myself, so I might have done something wrong with installaton and something may not be connected properly.
If you could point me in the right direction for solving this it would be much appreciated. My computer is pretty much unuseable the way it is right now.
