I'm not sure you understand what I'm asking (or else I'm just not wording it properly). Is there a way to make a new 16x16 texture for lava without having to have my users use McPatcher? I'd really like to make it as straight-forward and simple as possible.
That's just the thing though. I know I need to do it for HD texture packs, but this is a normal 16x16. It seems like all it would need is a plug-in-chug like all of the other textures, but somehow this is the exception.
Currently I'm working on my own texture pack for an adventure map I'm working on, and it would really look best if I was able to change the texture of lava. However when I plop a new texture (16x16) into the terrain.png for lava it doesn't work. Clearly there's something blatantly obvious I'm missing here and any help is greatly appreciated. : ) Thanks.
Good simple idea. It could be a randomly generated terrain, or a random picture from a gallery of creations (notch approved, don't want any stupid buildings)
I feel bad making any sort of request (as who honestly reads this forum besides people looking to make suggestions), but as I see it now when you go to load a singplayer map there's no background separating the saved games from the default background. Just thought it was an eye sore.
