posted a message on New direwolf20 1.10.2 whitelist server looking to build a small community

    Age: 22

    Minecraft name: Xynaxus64

Reason for applying: I've been looking for a fun, modded Minecraft community to join, as playing solo gets old fast. I enjoy working with others, and have been an upstanding member of several other Minecraft servers in the past.

Tell me a little about yourself: I'm a student in (hopefully) my last year at the university, studying robotics engineering. I currently reside in the Atlanta, GA area. I have played one or two FTB servers in the past, as well as countless hours of solo play, so I have a general knowledge of how these mods work.

How to contact: Message me here on the forum.

    Hi Nico

The full release is a different game for me, with good FPS and very playable. So something drastic did occur, thankfully.

I have the EXACT same issue, and I actually have a mid-high end PC. From what I can tell, it seems to be related to chunk loading happening far too slowly. The funny thing is, it only seems to effect blocks that have a "break timer". Torches, grass, and redstone dust are unaffected, as are blocks in creative mode. Mobs also move at an incredibly slow rate, and don't seem to register most hits. Framerate is doing just fine, I'm getting a solid 60.
Additionally, this doesn't happen at all in multiplayer, only in singleplayer. Since it appears to be an issue related to chunk loading, I think that Optifine should resolve the issue pretty easily. However, it has yet to be updated. I guess we'll just have to hang tight until either Optifine for 1.9 releases, or until 1.9.1 comes around.

Actually, rereading your post, you said the final release fixed the issue for you? Hmm. Guess I'm one of the very few who still has this issue. Hopefully it gets addressed soon.

How long you’ve been playing Minecraft: Since 1.2.5... Don't remember how many years ago that was.

Something about you or why you want to join: Haven't touched Minecraft in a while, want to see what's new and have fun. I've been playing around with redstone logic in creative for a few days now, and I can't wait to apply what I've learned in survival to make something really cool!

posted a message on Block Lag (Like server-side block placement delays) in SSP

After further testing, I found that staying in one area to let chunks load speeds things up a bit, but this still takes an incredibly long time, especially so on amplified worlds. Since Mojang has apparently messed up bigtime with this part of 1.9, I guess we'll just have to wait for Optifine to correct their mistakes.

posted a message on Block Lag (Like server-side block placement delays) in SSP

    A quick update:

    Restarting my PC did nothing.

Not only do blocks take several seconds to remove after they break, but mobs also move slowly, as if they were also lagging on a server.

Breaking blocks in Creative mode works very well, but mobs still move as though they were lagging.

Oddly, breaking grass blocks works correctly in both Creative and Survival, but breaking regular blocks does not.

And yes, I'm running 64-bit Java, and made sure to allocate 4 GB of RAM to MC (I have 8 GB total).

Am I seriously the only one with this issue?

I had about a 666% performance decrease. For me, that still means a solid 60 FPS, but it's a bit worrying.

posted a message on Block Lag (Like server-side block placement delays) in SSP

I'm not really sure what's up, but since updating to 1.9, I'm getting a massive delay when trying to remove or place blocks, as well as when trying to eat food. I never had this issue in 1.8. This is in SSP, mind you.

My framerate is fine, but this block delay is unbearable. Anyone know of a fix?

I'm currently running Windows 10 with Java 8 Update 73.

Well it's still a lot of monies, lol. But if you dont need extra draw distance, 2k res and other stuff witch is actually unnecessary - i5 and single gpu can do the job.

Heck, my i3 does the job. I can easily get decent FPS with a massive draw distance, shaders up, and almost all video settings maxed out.

But yeah, you're going to need a gaming PC to do it.

Well kwerti allready explained the reason for us so its fine if you both say it or not, Why would mojang remove something that is only bad for a person with crappy PC.

Those of us with crappy PC's are people too. I think that it's nice of them to think of us.
However, I think that a better solution would've been to add this as an option, rather than a forced update.

posted a message on Problems with Forge 10.13.0.1180 for Minecraft version 1.7.10
I seem to have run into a strange problem that makes Minecraft unplayable. When I start up the game, the menu looks like this:

This error also repeatedly gets posted to the console, but I have no idea what it means
    [00:50:51] [Client thread/ERROR]: ########## GL ERROR ##########
    [00:50:51] [Client thread/ERROR]: @ Post render
    [00:50:51] [Client thread/ERROR]: 1286: Invalid framebuffer operation

None of this happens with a Forge-free version of Minecraft 1.7.10, and currently, Forge is the only mod that I have installed.
I never had this problem with past versions of Forge, and they still work fine for Minecraft 1.7.2 and below.
