Jan 17, 2011If you look on the wiki for Redstone circuits (http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Redstone_circuits) and then go down to Pulse generators, you'll find what you need. That page has a lot of neat and useful stuff.Posted in: Survival Mode

To connect to a server, you will need to enter the IP for the server, and open up the required ports (the default port is the same as for minecraft classic, 25565)
Or thats what the BLOG says.
Exactly. So pretty much, you can run it exactly how we ran it with Creative Servers, or you can run it much easier (if you're running Windows).

I just want a normal server. But would I still have to portforward?
Absolutely. And according to Notch's blog post:
to connect to a server you will need to portforward, too.To connect to a server, you will need to enter the IP for the server, and open up the required ports (the default port is the same as for minecraft classic, 25565)

I do exactly the same thing. Usually worlds 1 and 2 are used for legit play, while 3, 4, and 5 are used to hack in TNT, redstone, iron and such to test different things out.

Really? Really?! There's only 20 replies! It would take you about two minutes to at least look through them, realize that it had already been answered, and not make a worthless post.
Jul 23, 2010Xymostech posted a message on Switching Textures in Mac OS X? (opening minecraft.jar)Just in case anyone comes finds this and is truly wondering how to open minecraft.jar, renaming the .jar to a .zip, and then unzipping it does the trick.Posted in: Mods Discussion
Jul 22, 2010Posted in: Alpha - Survival Single PlayerQuote from supercolio »But still awesome idea!
I... disagree. I mean, all this is really telling you is that monster spawners spawn monsters, and that skeletons make arrows when they die. People have been making "pork factories" and the like since the monster spawners came out. This topic could be condensed into "If you find a skeleton spawner, I hate you, and you are very lucky due to your new influx in arrows".
Jul 21, 2010I dunno. I think that this could definitely end up surfacing eventually, as long as someone puts enough time into it. And I honestly don't think that anyone would spend the time to make a bot that maks your character a guard for someone else's stuff. Or even for their own stuff, really. Mining, maybe, killing people, probably. I think that the only thing people would bother making a bot for would be griefing of some sort.Posted in: Alpha - Survival Single Player
Jul 19, 2010Are you mature? Absolutely!Posted in: Clans
Do you have enough time for it? Probably! (I'll play a decent amount)
What role would you like? Either a neutral merchant or a trap-maker for hire.
Is there anybody specifically you'd like to play with? Nope!
Are you an asshole? No!
Is the cake a lie? Not so long as you use hacks!

Jul 18, 2010How much time counts as "enough time for it"? And no offense, but I don't think that *only* diamonds should be counted for the final score. Maybe, figure out a way to count each item that they have as a specific point total, and then total it up near the end? I don't know. Just making sure that the people who end up with 10 million iron bars and two diamond don't lose, even though they obviously spent a lot of time at it. But yeah. Sounds like a really great idea, and would probably join, so long as I have "enough time".Posted in: Clans
Jul 17, 2010Posted in: Alpha - Survival Single PlayerQuote from Z80 »I once had this pet pig. I guess he wasn't my pet. I think a pet has to love you back. I kept this pig in my house, I named him Jasper. I really loved him, I really did. He had the sweetest little eyes. I would stay huddled with him during the night. It made me feel safe, even if he kept trying to run. To hide. He hated me. He wanted to be free, but I just couldn't imagine life without him. I was selfish so I just... well, I just kept him there. But one day, I wanted to leave the house, at night. I was feeling reckless. I was daring, I was a bit crazy. So I burrowed through my humble home, out to the other side. Before I know it, I'm getting swarmed by creepers. Creepers to the left, creepers to the right, Hell, I thought I saw some above. All in my little cabin. So what could I do? I ran. I ran and made a little hut, hopefully enough to keep the monsters at bay. Just a few more minutes, I thought, the sun is almost up, I thought. I should have been thinking about sweet little Jasper. I'm sure he suffered. I'm sure he bled until his veins ran dry. When the sun struck my sweating head, I ran to Jasper's house. I looked in his pen. There was no pig. All I saw was torn flesh. Ripped from the body of an innocent swine.
So what did I do? I burned my ****ing house to the ground. I set it on fire and watched as the labors of a selfish, cowardly man crumbled. It felt good. Jasper would have wanted his prison gone. I just wish he could have seen it.
GOD WHY ARE THERE SO MANY SAD STORIES
