Xaviez, finishing off with a skeleton, looked to his right to see Fowler on his knees and Vee in his arms. His stomach dropped. "Oh god no," Xaviez breathed to himself.

"Where's the potions master? Where's the mages?" he called back into the passage way. The sounds of fighting almost drowned out his pleas for help.

Xaviez, still bleeding from the recent arrow wounds and slashes from those zombies, managed to get to them. He searched deep into his pockets, hoping that he was carrying an extra vial of liquid that would do something but to no luck. No numbing potion, no liquids to stop the bleeding, no powders even temporarily close the wound. "Sorry, Vee, I didn't know you much but I have nothing for you," Xaviez said over Fowler to the helpless looking Vee.

It was an awkward moment when Xaviez knew that standing their would be useless and he had to get back to the fighting outside of the orb room. "I'll find the potions guy or a mage," he said, running out of the room with both daggers in hand.

Xaviez once again dodged another arrow, while pulling the arrow from the pinned skeleton from his back. It smarted like anything but Xaviez kept the pain in. This time, he jumped counter clockwise around the red skeleton, making for it hard to shoot its arrows at him. While jumping, Xaviez cut its ribs and other bones with his daggers repeatedly. Only a few ribs did Xaviez manage to cut off. Daggers were simply too small for the skeleton.

Xaviez rolled backwards away from the skeletons. When he found his footing, he was on one knee and aiming an arrow at the red skeleton with his longbow. "Goodbye, Demon Spawn," Xaviez managed to say as he let go of the arrow, which found its path to the skeleton's glowing red eye.

Xaviez never figured out how, but the skeleton, despite not having a voicebox, made the most demonic sound ever as it lifted its pieced skull up to the ceiling. It's bones rattled and clattered as it turned to dust and got carried away by a wind Xaviez could not feel.

As it disappeared, the bodies of the defeated skeletons of that room did also.

A stone door opened to reveal a passage way. That was where he heard the rest of the group. Picking up the rest of the arrows Xaviez stood in front of that opening to see the group approaching, a few skeletons still in their way.

((I don't know where we are. I go out to hang out with my friends for a day and this happens :\ I'm guessing something with a cave, monsters, and the quest?))

Xaviez, later had met with a beautiful servant, dressed in a white tunic. "The king tells you to head to the underground vaults. There, you will catch up with everyone else. Beware of the dangers," she whispered.

"Thank you," Xaviez responded, giving her a small silver coin, "Here's one for looking at you and tell the king that I said thank you. Will you also guide me to this vault?"

"Sure," she replied, taking him by the hand.

Xaviez and the servant quickly walked through many rooms and to a back courtyard. "This is probably the quickest way to where they are now. There will be reanimated skeletons, all wielding weapons, especially bows. Mind your step and feel for the small lever on the right, it will activate small glowing red torches."

    "Thank you."

Xaviez had opened the trap door buried under the dirt and climb down. Once he had turned on the faint eerie torches, she closed the trap door and the sound of her push dirt back over it was heard.

"Damn it," Xaviez said, hearing the rattling of bones.

Seeing the first skeleton before it saw him, he rolled up to it and quickly dispatched it with his dagger, which was hidden beneath his jacket. Of course, that meant he had already stripped himself of his leather jacket, which was lying behind on the floor, and Xaviez had no intention of picking it back up.

The first few skeletons were quick. Their arrows were inaccurate and usually fell a few meters short of Xaviez. A few rooms later, Xaviez saw a group of skeletons, all armed, and one of them had a glowing red fire in its eyes.

Seeing this, Xaviez armed himself with his long bow. Using the arrows of the deceased skeletons, he pulled his bowstring back and fired them through a few of the lesser skeletons. It didn't kill them, but it pinned a few into the walls. This, however, alerted the entire group of them to Xaviez's position.

Tightening the bow around his torso again, Xaviez grabbed the two hand crossbows on his back. He fired them both at once. His left arrow missed but the bolt of his right hand went through the skull of one of the skeletons. It dropped to the ground.

Xaviez but the crossbows back on his shoulders and armed himself with throwing daggers. It was never his idea to through his handmade throwing knives in places with stone floors and walls, but he had no choice.

All of his daggers made their mark. Two more down, three to go, not including the ones stuck to the walls, constantly shooting more arrows towards Xaviez.

He duel wielded the daggers and dive-rolled towards the approaching skeletons. He slashed through the bones of the lesser skeletons, and dodged the strike of the one with the red eyes. As he turned his attention to the red skeleton, he felt a sharp piercing feeling in his back. He knew one of the pinned skeletons had hit him. It had distracted him long enough to have the red skeleton pull back its bowstring but not long enough for it to actually hit Xaviez, who rolled out of the way, despite the pain.

At that point, he heard the sounds of approaching footsteps. "No, not more skeletons," Xaviez whispered, but was surprised to hear the sound of dying skeletons, swords, and human voices. "That must be the rest of the group."

((@Raynomd Yeah, I read it after I posted, haha.))

Xaviez walked into the lobby. Once again he was fascinated by its ornaments. "The king should be waiting, or at least finishing up with one of advisers or complaints. I'll wait here."

((Dang you guys post at like 3-5AM for me. I just woke up, haha))

Xaviez, now noticing new people, left where he was standing and tried to greet them. First he greeted Sven with a bow, asking for his name. Then, he went and greeted the scribe.

"Greetings, scribe, I am Xaviez. No need to write too much about me," he said to the man who was furiously writing down what seems to be every detail.

Seeing as he was busy, Xaviez did not want to interrupt him and left to greeted the other one. "Hello...well I don't know what to call you," he said to Corde, "I'm Xaviez, rogue and archer."

He was sure he was within earshot of the scribe as well.

((Sorry, all of these new people, no way I could get my character to meet them all fast enough with one post. When do we actually go into the castle? we've been sitting in this courtyard for hours.))

"Yes, we were summoned with the same letters," Xaviez answered him, showing him a rolled up piece of parchment bound by a ribbon. "Anyone who has not committed a crime may enter the throne room. I can not enter the throne room, so I expect some contact but not directly to the king."

"They will probably ask us for our weapons, too," Xaviez said, "Not like that matters though. I doubt any of us here are looking forward to the demise of the king."

At that point, Xaviez approached a guard at the main door. "Entry, please, my good soldier," he said lightly. The guard gave him a hard look and pounded the door with his fist. The door opened to reveal a grand lobby, decorated with the finest arts. The candle lit chandeliers on their own probably costed a hefty coin or two.

"Okay, enough chit-chat. Let us get to the point of the mission," Xaviez said, standing in the doorway

((Sorry, am I going too fast? I'm sure Vee and the others could gain admittance afterwards.))

"Ah, good. so now that everybody has met face to face, let us proceed," Xaviez said. "The king has invited all of us here. I am not to meet him directly, but I am sure he will have some way to meet with me without me having to enter his throne room, probably via court, a servant, or something of the sort."

He made a glance at the Spartaku. "And what is your professions? I see you are crafty with potions and the elements, but the king wouldn't have summoned a potions master to go on a quest along with rogues, warriors, and mages, would he?"

"Hello, Sara, Danielle, and Kiril," Xaviez greeted them, "I'm Xaviez, you can call me whatever. I was told not to directly approach the king in his throne room due to past mistakes."

Xaviez examined Danielle. "You are a rogue, are you not?" Xaviez then noticed that the man mixing potions had finished and was coming to join them.

"Greetings. Xaviez, Rogue and archer, at your service."

((Just so you guys know, I'm sitting in the courtyard, within the castle walls but not yet inside the corridors of the castle.))

Xaviez noticed the two a influx of people entering the courtyard. By their looks, they don't look much of the peasant type but more of the fighting type. Must be my team, he thought to himself.

He pulled himself up from the ground and dusted himself off. Seeing that one man was diligently mixing potions, Xaviez knew that it was best not to disrupt him. "Greetings," Xaviez said to the group, holding out his hand, consisting of two women and a man, all of which Xaviez has never met.

Xaviez sat down outside of the castle walls. "Don't mind me guards, I'm just loitering," he said with a lazy wave of his hands. The guards didn't seem to care.

"I'm Xaviez," he told Kilon, who was entering the castle. "You can call me whatever you want."

Xaviez knew he was not the only criminal to be in this party.

Xaviez examined the letter. "Unfortunately, the night that kidnapped me and brought me hear gave me none," he said, as he turned his jacket pockets inside out to show it. In his right pocket, a rolled up piece of parchment with a ribbon tied around it fell out.

"This wasn't here before," Xaviez explained as he undid the ribbon and saw that it was the same fly in the same handwriting as the one he saw before. "Looks like this is it, then. The knight must have slipped it into my pocket."

But at the bottom of the parchment a small piece of handwriting read "Do not go and see the king. You are not to be in his presence for he knows that you are wanted for multiple crimes. Any criminal can not directly approach the king. Your comrades will tell you his words when they are done."

"You are heading to the castle, no? And for what reason? I was told to meet up with a group of 'different' looking people. You people definitely stick out," Xaviez said, examining them closely with his eyes. If they are not on the quest, he thought, he could sneak away and find the correct group for the briefing of the quest.

"I was told by...an official's underling...to find a group of people. I am to join them for a common goal. If you people are not the right people, I will be off. If you people are, I need to hear about this quest. I swear, I am not a spy," Xaviez assured them, "If you are the right ones, I was told you would have a flyer?"

((So I'm guessing Spartakus is not with us currently and will meet later?))

Xaviez slowed down close to the group. "I wish to tag along. Where are we heading?" he said, making sure he had found the right group of people.

The group started to move before Xaviez could reach them. He started running up to him, using his light weighted equipment and agile body to his advantage. "Wait," he called out before he could stop himself.

((Sorry, I was away for the morning and noon))

Xaveiz stopped at the intersection, knowing soon he would have someone to accompany him to wherever. It was not expected that he saw a man in shiny armor riding on a grand white horse coming straight for him. Xaviez, remembering his history with men in grand armor, gripped a dagger under his jacket.

The horse reared and stopped before him. It snorted and a burst of white steam came from it's nostrils. The man climbed down from the horse. "Xaviez," he addressed him, "You are to come with me. You have found favor in the eyes of the king."

"Wait, how do you know my name, or even where I was?"

"The last merchant wearing purple you tagged along with was a messenger. He was to find a rogue suitable for the king's task, which is not to be said, especially not here at this intersection," The great man replied.

"You are not to meet the king, for this it is not to be known that you were chosen. I will take you to meet the others."

    "Which others?"

"Others have been assigned similar tasks. I have not been informed much, but I will bring you somewhere close to them."

"And what if I do not oblige?"

"You are to be left to your business of wandering and scavenging for food. Also, I have the right to smite you on the point for petty thievery in great numbers from merchants."

    "Damn it."

And Xaviez was forced to oblige. Due to his will not to cooperate, his hands were bound and his feet was tied to the horse. He rode silently behind the knight as the horse galloped for what seemed to be hours.

Xaviez woke up from a grand sleep. He had not slept for days for sleeping close to a merchant path was an invitation to get killed and robbed. The sounds of a gate openeing woke him up. Guards seemed to fill the towers and walls. Many of them wielded great halberds. The horse was stopped by a guard wearing a cape. "And who's this?"

"He's my prisoner. Out of the way, private," The knight lied.

"That's Gate Keeper to you," you sneered as he let the knight through.

The knight rode through the streets as Xaviez watched as some peasants gave him dirty looks. He didn't care, though. He just didn't give a damn anymore.

The horse stopped in the square. "Public humiliation or are you going to hang me?"

"Neither," The knight replied as he unsheathed a small knife on his leg.

"You are going to publicly stab me? That's hardly civilized."

"Stop acting so careless," The knight replied. He pulled the knife back and cut right through the cords that was binding Xaviez. Xaviez rubbed his wrists where the cords had cut him and jumped off the horse.

"You're agile, huh?" the knight complimented, "Here, go and find a great tree. A few 'different' people are should be under there, as said by the guards on the walls."

Xaviez looked at the walls and saw a few guards looking through spyglasses. He nodded and walked around as the knight rode off. It was his first time in an actual city, town, whatever.

((Im sure this is a town, otherwise a city, right?))
