What do you think of the server?: It's my first experience with skyblock and I'd have to say it's pretty fun. The commands are easy to use and it's nice that if you screw up (like I did with my first cobble generator) there are quick ways to start over.

Not bad... I like em, maybe you should make a full pack?
I've tried making a terrain pack before. The process was very slow going and the results were less than what I'd like them to be.
I may try again at a full pack in the future but for now I'll just be happy to get this mob pack done.

This has been my little project for the last couple of days. I've been wanting to make a mob pack for a while now, just never built up the motivation to start it. I'm posting this up now to see if it's worth me continuing the project. Let me know what you think. Am I wasting my time with this or should I keep going?
There is no real "theme" to this texture pack. It is just my take on the creatures of Minecraft.
As best I can I'd like to get as many of the mobs done that I can. I can't promise that they'll all be gems but I'll try my best for each one.

Why you want to play here: The last two servers that I've played on have become far less active after the one went down for a few weeks and drama claimed a mod on the other. I'm just looking for a new place to play and build and
fart aroundhang out.
Post/link a cool project you have done: I thought I had pics of some stuff but can't seem to locate anything.
Where did you hear about OmniCraft? I was searching for a server that had nether and this was the best looking one.
Have you been banned from another server before: Never and no plans of it ever happening.
If so, explain: N/A
Have you read the server rules? Indeed I have.
What will you build first, and how will you make it aesthetically pleasing: I'll most likely make a farm first. I usually use a large amount of glass, logs and wood for the walls with a stone roof. After that I might start up attempting to make my library. It will require a massive amount of sandstone for the walls and will have a large circular window that faces east to catch the sun/moon as they rise. Of course there will also be a large amount of books as well.
Any additional info: This would be my first time on a server with so many game mods. I might need some help figuring it all out.

You posted the application to be a mod, not to be whitelisted.
You should probably make a new post using the correct application.

Monkey D Luffy:
Also thanks to Xiff's Usopp. I pretty much copied your mouth and it looks great.
I usually don't add mouths to my skins. The only reason I made the mouth look like that is because Usopp's mouth is so big and puffy. But I guess it doesn't look bad on your skin. I like it overall but it kinda bugs me how the shading on the skin of the head is different than the shading on the skin of the arms.
Feb 6, 2011That Tousen Kaname skin looks incredible.Posted in: Skins
I'm a bit surprised I haven't done more anime skins.
Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist
Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
And my personal favorite and current skin, Usopp from One Piece
Feb 5, 2011Posted in: SkinsQuote from ~Yui »If your reason for charging is recompense for the effort involved in making skins... then by golly you are terribly inefficient. A single skin takes between 5 - 10 mins of work. Taken out of context you are charging at the rate of $60/hour.
Yes, taking things out of context is the way to properly prove your point. Ok, assume it takes him five minutes. Now assume it takes him two hours. Maybe the skin you gave him to do is proving troublesome or he just can't get it right. Either way, your not paying by the hour. Your paying by the skin. So what difference does it make to you?
Funny, I'm pretty sure Notch is paying someone to do just what your saying.Quote from ~Yui »That said PROFESSIONAL graphic designers who steep their full time into modelling and texture designs would probably NOT devote their time to creating mediocre works and then have the audacity to put a price on a bunch of pixels.
I'll get right on telling all the bottled water companies that they are terrible, terrible people.Quote from T-major »It's wrong when the service doesn't cost anything to provide, requires very little time and/or effort to carry out, and other people are happily willing to do it for free.
Feb 5, 2011Honestly, I see nothing wrong with someone charging for a service they are providing, and there is definitely no shame in it. Whether or not you use their service is completely up to you.Posted in: Skins
Quote from BendiStrawz »Also to top it of your skins suck lol
As someone who actually took the time too look at the skins I can say that this is entirely false. I'm aware that everyone has their own standards for what they think is good, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with these skins.
Feb 5, 2011Posted in: SkinsQuote from JWSJ »I'm not against access temporarily, if it allows them to use the skins after I disconnect the Internet again.
Is this the case?
From what I can tell you should be able to disconnect once they are logged in and join the server. If you disconnect before that the skins wont show up. I haven't been able to test this out with SMP since my server is down but this seems to be the case for single player at least.
Feb 2, 2011Thats really good, especially for a first skin. It looks like you have a pretty good idea of where to add shading which is what most people seem to have a difficult time with.Posted in: Skins
And your doing it right. The .png is all thats needed.
The only thing I have to suggest is that you may want to experiment with the "extra" layer.
Its the large empty space to the right of the head. You can use that to add depth to the details on the helmet.
