Would it be possible to make it so if the TPS get too low, it execute a file ?
I already have a custom .bat to start the server. I can easily make a custom .bat that will send a command to the server (i.e. /stop) and then start it again.
It's not really fixing whatever was causing the problem, but at least it's a start...
Or maybe restarting every few hours? Then I'd like a mod that can broadcast messages at scheduled timing. (Pretty sure I can use Windows Task Scheduler for auto restarting, but if there are players online I'd like to at least broadcast something in chat). I know of plugins but no mods that can do this. Any idea?
I've tried not putting back Fastcraft in and putting the Max-Tick-Time at 100 and see if watchdog killed it when it skipped more than 100, yet now it did multiple time and still didn't kill it :/
Nope. It started happening 3 days after the start of a new world. The players had already installed themselves and were doing their things.
Just before it started happening constantly, one player massively explored the overworld and went really far. We could blame it on chunk generation, but the thing is it persists, even after restarting the server so I do not think it's that.
And since absolutely no player needs to connect for the issue to start taking place, I'm suspecting that the thing causing it is chunkloaded.
Writing this made me think that maybe it is a storage issue (i.e. not enough space on the drive) so I went to check but nope, 213GB available. Definitely not it.
Memory is practically always on the same level. CPU & Memory never get close to 100% when it start lagging, so this is why I thought hardware was not the cause.
Now that Fastcraft is gone, I'm getting spammed by these at FAR more regular interval (Every 15 seconds or so and getting worse while Fastcraft was every 12 minute or so)
By the way, here's the hardware. Know that it's the hardware allocated for this specific VM.
I got VM for other games & stuff that are running too but it shouldn't impact this one since they are all separated.

Hmmm, I'll try although I do not know how to do a shell script window batch file.

But it's not for 1.7.10 though and looking at the version available, there's no 1.7.10 of it :/

Problem is:
1- There is no older build
2- It's a modpack with added mods onto it.
Hmmm...

Probably. Anyway, removing extra utilities did not fix the issue.
I'm putting it back and will be removing fastcraft

Isn't that good ?

I mean Fastcraft is just reporting. TPS is still descending.
I guess I'll try removing extra utilities.

Max-tick-time doesn't seem to be working. I've set up at 1500, the server is skipping 3k+ ticks and yet watchdog is not killing it.
Is there something I'm missing ?
Does it kill only if someone join ?
0
Yup. Launched the server and now I'm just waiting for it to throw the lag line at me and for it to shutdown.

So I put the max-tick-time at 15000 but now it says that it's lagging 200000ms behind and watch dog is not killing it.
But it's skipping 3k tick. But if the max-tick-time is in tick, then for now I have not seen it skip more than 7k at once.
Should I lower it the 3k just for the test ?

Well, we'll see since it take some time before I start to see report that it's lagging.
What I can say is that even after deleting, the dim -150 folder appeared again after starting the server.
And I'll remove this mod after we try everything else because 3 out of 6 person on the server use this mod A LOT.

I just checked what was DIM -150 and it is the Underdark.
I've then checked if anybody actually even entered this dim even once and as far as I know, nobody even entered it.
