Perhaps make the sheep look like it's wearing a white tux(pocket watch, red bowtie). Then if you sheer it, let it have a wife-beater undershirt on. For the chicken, put a small suit on it that exposes the head, the tips of its wings and butt;put a monocle on it. Don't know what to do for the cow
I like the pack overall, but I think you should change the gold tools and armor; I believe that it leads people away from the pack. Also, I think the lightstone should be changed because it just doesn't blend well with the rest of the pack. The half stone texture also looks like something of cobblestone. Best of luck on doing the rest of the items.
Yes I know how to do that, or I have tried to do that. I went all though the steps yet low and behold, when I open Minecraft I get the black screen. Very bothersome... Also I used the program "The Unarchiver," to unzip minecraft.jar.
Then i suggest to either start over, re-download the .jar and try the same mod, or download a newer version of the mod (often the mod does not match the MC version), or give up on the mod (I've had to do that as well, mac user here)
This too, if nothing works with renaming or modding just delete the /bin folder and launch the game again to get the original files back. And what ReMx3dit said, some mods aren't compatible with mac version of MC, regardless if the version of the mod is up to date.

Well, what about just renaming the minecraft folder with .jar and launching it without trying to install any mods? Does it go black just when you do that?
Do you know how to add mods manually? Cause in a mac (I too, am using a mac) you have to find the minecraft.jar file, extract it with the default extractor (actually, any un-zip program is fine). A folder with the name minecraft should appear; with that folder, rename it to mincraft.jar (renaming this makes it so the client will recognize where all the game files are.) and replace the minecraft.jar file that is already present in the /bin folder. Now if you did this right, you can take the .class files and what ever content there is in the mod you downloaded and drop them into the minecraft.jar "folder".
the minecraft.jar file should be found under /username/library/application support/minecraft/bin
edit* when adding a mod, don't forget to delete the META-INT folder unless told otherwise.
So, I installed two mods for minecraft (on OSX 10.6.4) and now my game is starting to crash, even after I deleted them. I downloaded and installed Zan's mini-map mod successfully to set way points and stuff so that I could find my bases that were far away easily. After I went venturing off, I decided it would be cool to install the mod arrows pack. I installed the pack and booted a save successfully but never tried to make a mod arrow. So I continued to venture towards my spawn point, my game started to get really laggy and then it eventually crashed. I wasn't sure if it was due to a chunk error or a mod, but just seemed very strange. Also, when I was walking around, I kept seeing single chunks just floating around everywhere.
Here's the error message.
