That was pretty poorly animated compared to other parodies.
Also, "griefing" isn't a thing. It's called playing survival.

This is not the case at all. On the Xbox 360 board, we take the time to report all bugs directly to the developers so that they may address them. The level of communication is actually quite amazing. Many people there would rather 4J take their time and iron out the kinks as opposed to rushing into 1.8.2. -
Aug 3, 2012XavierHorovitz posted a message on MCX360 Update Coming SoonFor those of you wondering: the change-log for the upcoming bugfix is the top-most section of the thread that is being linked to. The following sentence isn't quite correct: "In addition to a massive list of fixes, the update boasts the following changes:"Posted in: News
The problem with this statement is that the "massive list of fixes" are not anything new; they are simply old updates. The initial post illustrates the actual fixes that will be coming out in a few days. To reiterate:
- Fix for a crash with pistons at the edge of the world
- Fix for a crash due to a thread safety issue usually caused by pistons
- Fix for issue with operating pistons on chunk boundaries
- Fix for a rendering flicker with active pistons
- Fix for rendering slowdown due to lighting issues
- Fix for rain going through blocks (raining indoors)
- Fix for Marketplace not launching when unlocking skin pack after selecting a locked skin in the trial version of the skin pack
- Fix for bug allowing locked skins to be selected if they are beside a free skin
- Fix for misaligned player scores when viewed under the "My Score" leaderboard filter
- Fix for the constant button press sounds when rotating a character in the skin select screen
- Fix for the constant sound effect played on the sign text entry
- Fix for thunder not being audible
- Fix for third person front view not displaying fire.

For some ungodly reason, it did not. All this powerful hardware not being used..

Such a convincing argument.

Can anybody explain to me exactly what goes through their heads when they make these decisions? Newsflash: some of us DO have USB keyboards, and those who do not are NOT forced to use the Book and Quill if they do not want to. We're dropping money on this game (some of us for the second or third time on console alone) and I really don't think we should find ourselves limited for a reason as poor as this.

It's a minor complaint, but it is made all the more irritating by the fact that it was fixed once, but then messed up again.

Please make it move back to the bottom if you have hints turned off. If nothing else, give us a choice of how high up to put it. This is crazy.
EDIT: This is what I mean:

I'm the leader of a small, currently 6-man group called Cathexis Gaming. Obviously there are a few of us who are more than excited for Minecraft (among other things, such as Destiny, PlanetSide 2, and so on). Not all of our members happen to share the same enthusiasm as a few of us do, and therefore we'd love it if any community-inclined people would enjoy hopping on-board.
We have a site you can check out and apply to the community, which would lead to us getting back to you, probably in time to play some Minecraft as early as tonight. We have dreams of building an incredible world full of cities, bases, weird redstone contraptions and more (done in Survival, of course!). If it sounds like your cup of tea, hit me up with a private message on here and I'll give you a link.
If you're not interested, we hope you enjoy your time in Minecraft! So awesome that it's coming out today!

Cathexis is a perfectly-modified Minecraft server that aims to provide
a realistic and professionally-driven atmosphere that is both
incredible and unique. Whether you look to seek power or
lead a simple life as a farmer, you are guaranteed to find something
to do on Cathexis. Engage with others on a quest to colonize
a brave new world. If you trust your peers, share your wealth for the greater good.
Or, if you are of a more wretched nature, steal your way to the top.
Whatever your poison, know that you will never be constrained
like you would be on other servers.

Cathexis is a brand new survival server hosted by the primarily PlayStation 4 gaming community Cathexis Gaming. While it is true that we put stock in games such as Destiny, PlanetSide 2, Battlefield 4 and more, we couldn't resist the allure of a PC Minecraft server. Staffed by members who have years upon years of Minecraft experience under their belts, Cathexis is a sure-fire bet for fair gameplay, non-intrusive plugins, and a friendly community. We do not set out to restrict you like other servers attempt to. You are free to build, create, craft, destroy, cooperate, disintegrate, and any other verb you can imagine. We believe that you should never let power-hungry server administrators hold you down.

INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this presentation is to pitch an idea that I have personally found to be a unique and exciting approach to a roleplay-esque survival Minecraft server. The primary theme is life inside of a politically charged kingdom, or republic, in which there are numerous towns (Towny plugin is used) that are all part of one singular kingdom. At the top, there is an elected king.
GAMEPLAY
Each town may have its own unique laws as long as it also maintains the current laws of the kingdom. The king will, as well as rule over the kingdom, rule over a capital town that will house himself and, potentially, senators and/or advisors (up for debate). A king is elected every so often (intervals will be decided) and will rule in terms. The king will be able to implement policies and enact projects that could include, but are not limited to, the following:
The gist of the gameplay is a Minecraft server where cooperation leads to a functioning society that mimics old-timey kingdoms.
ELECTIONS
A town can choose whether or not to hold interval-based elections for their mayors. Mayors are permitted to die by anyone’s hands and retain their position. If a specific town demands elections, then up to two players may ultimately run for mayor in a final election (either two completely new candidates or the incumbent versus a newcomer). Anyone can attempt to run for king. Each town will choose one player to go forward in the election for king, and then a tally of all votes will be counted. The kingship will have a set system (max terms, how long a term is, etc.) as opposed to more flexible town systems.
MAYORS
Mayors of towns can, as mentioned, set town-specific laws for their own town. This includes whether or not there are elections. Mayors can be overthrown if a majority of population decides that he is no longer fit to rule. At that point, an election can be held if one player does not seal the power vacuum. Kings can demote mayors is they feel they are not being cooperative toward achieving the kingdom’s goals. Kings ideally should not appoint mayors, but it is not entirely out of the question.
Obviously there is more to be worked out, and that would come with time. Here's some stuff I'd prefer to know about you before jumping in:
