Okay, if its not much of a significant upgrade, would there be a decent upgrade to lets say.. idk.. a $180 Card?
$180 would be something like a 6870 which is 2-3 tiers above the 6770/5770.

Computers that don't have the disks usually have a recovery utility software on them look for that and use it.

If it has a dedicated card hybrid crossfire supports with the llano apu the 66xx and below.

No the A6 and A8 share the same CPU core but there GPU core is faster in the A8. But the lenovo laptop I linked has a dedicated graphics card that runs in crossfire with the GPU on the APU.

Nope the A8 has the same CPU as the A6 and mine has a dedicated graphics card with 1GB of VRAM running in crossfire with the APU.
You would need to convert to a different more compress format if your video editing your not going to upload an AVI file to youtube.
I am saying they are a lot better with more features on the PC.

Bf3 potential is unlocked on the PC same with Skyrim with modding. Make sure you use a GPU accelerated video converter.

If he never gets into Bf3 or anything like that for photoshop that would be better and just as good for MC and TF2

I have had people who I recommended with an AMD A8 and yours is faster they said they maxed MC with a x64 texture pack.

It can run up to 2.4ghz

Nope a laptop running hyrbid crossfire is pretty rare. It will run all the games you listed just fine.

O wait I did.

Also wolf forget CUDA Nvidia complete screwed up on the computer performance on this GPU it is out done by the GTX 580. Hell its out done by AMDs cards in a lot of compute stuff.
Sure for right now its cheaper but in a day or two we will see AMD drop its price.
AMD is the only choice for multi monitor set up Nvidia surround is terrible and can't touch Eyefinity. AMD also open sourced its proprietary driver for the 7 series so we should see massive improvements in the Linux drivers for it.
Yes gaming performance is higher but all this means is the 7970 will get cheaper and for people who do workstation rendering on there computers can get a 7970 that trashes Nvidia at a lower price.
Nice to see Nvidia dropping the GPGPU stuff they have been pushing for years to switch to gaming performance as a gamer I think this is good but I am sure some workstation people are not happy.

Are you actually recommending someone to buy from Craigslist that place is full of people ripping each others off. You should get something with a good GPU thanks for the advice good thing you came in the other posters told them to get an underpowered GPU. Nothing is wrong with Acer my experience with them has been good especially that there desktops have thumb screws and do not require screws to pull the harddrive out and have used good brands of PSUs.
