I like it because I have huge hands. You can make it whatever shape you want.

To ***** more specifically its not long enough for me to claw but still have my very bottom of the palm rest ever so slightly at the bottom to reduce friction.

    EDIT

I have changed my opinion based on new knowledge.

Logitech is above this I would not even let someone pay me to use a rat mouse now that I know its made by mad catz

Have you actually used it? It is awesome.

I actualy thought it was good.
Then my friend got one realized its a gimmky pain in the ass the mouse feels about as good as the mice dell ships with its PCs.

    But you can customize it?

Great now i can change it from feels like crap to feels more like crap to feels even more like crap.

If you have tiny hands and plam your mice you probably will enjoy it but people with large hands who claw their mice the death adder feels a lot better.

Why an unlocked processor with an H61 motherboard?

Lack of thinking at the time and just forgetting that not all Intel chipsets can overclock.
Maybe we inteded for him to upgrade the motherboard later I don't thats about the best excuse I got.

As an alternative why not just buy this and drop it in.
    http://www.newegg.co...N82E16819103923

It should work in his motherboard might need to manualy set voltages ect.

No change but I might thrown in some thermal paste and a better cooler for the ability to overclock.

I think the best way to stop piracy is not to have the always-online crap and actually give a decent service that doesn't suck ass. I will never buy Diablo 3 because of the always-online policy. Otherwise I would consider buying it.
Same goes with the bullsh*t at the beginning at movies. At least make it skippable.
Make your service better than the pirate's.

Except this is not true games with flat out 0 DRM like the witcher 2 got pirated. The average priced payed for the Indie bundle is 7.8$ for 5 DRM free games well at that price you would assume it must have a lot of sales well guess what its only sold 330,00 and you can pay 1 cent for the bumdle but thats still too much for some people and its still pirated.

Steam is drm a very lax drm but still DRM at the end of the day. While Good Old Games is all 100% DRM free but how often do you hear about people buying off it.

Mostly schoolwork and web browsing. Casual gaming, only Minecraft. I use my moms, it has Integrated graphics but it runs pretty smooth on medium settings.

Ya wait for trinity an A8 will probably be enough but if you have the money might as well grab an A10. They should start showing up in the next week or so.

To be honest if you're on a tight budget you should wait for the next generation of APUs to be released: *drumroll* Trinity!!!!!
Those perform quite a bit better. Also you should be able to find some laptops out there which have BOTH the APU and another AMD dedicated graphics card in crossfire(The apu's internal one and the dedicated one work together), bringing you pretty decent graphics performance for a low price.

It is probably not needed for him to have a crossfire set up but he might. But you are defiantly right Trinity is days away from release and he should wait.

OP what do you plan on using the computer for?

Don't wait for unannounced products maybe Nvidia won't make one for a while due to tsmc shortages maybe they will. Plus in the future if he has 300$ he will have problem buying a good graphics card he needs to worry about the current built.

I didn't only mean currently released games. EA has the new SimCity which is Always-Online.

I have heard no such announcement I have been sorta following the game they said they intend it to have an online mode but that does not mean it can't have single player.

Comparing Steam to 'always-online' DRM is just daft, it has no such requirement even in online mode.

I never said it was always online.
But the op compared Blizzard to ubisoft who has multiple always online games.
I was just saying that Steam is just as always online DRM as starcraft that has an offline mode both do.
Its offline mode is a lot better it works on my laptop when I'm on a solid connection but I still have issues if i go to my friends who still has satellite internet.

    Uh, I don't think I mentioned Blizzard. I didn't mean to either.

As for Valve, they do make a lot of rather unique games, which was basically my point. To me, Steam seems more about creating a standardized game platform and giving games 'console features' than it is about preventing piracy.
Offline mode works fine for me, I just tested it.

The blizzard thing was me talking to OP not you.

Offline mode works great on cable or a stable internet connection I used to have a satellite connection and then radio over a wimax connection and most of my hate comes from my days.
