I'd recommend installing the mods yourself, technic is full of outdated mods and three of them have a confirmed memory leak.

Tekkit not technic and a bukkit and forge build is not ready yet is why tekkit is on an old version.

Ya we will see it on desktop processors AMD seems to be planning on catching Intel at 14nm with excavator.

That's not completely true, but yes I understand what you are saying. I think Microsoft should maybe release another more desktop friendly build of Windows 8. Also, did anyone else know they were merging XBLA with the Windows 8 store? That was somewhat shocking, but does this mean they'll allow cross-play? Anyways, see you guys later.

How would they make a more desktop friendly option the RTM is desktop friendly.
No mouse and keyboard was found to be better by tests MS ran they will never allow cross play for this reason.

    Stock?

Stock wise AMD has been ahead of Nvidia for a long time until recently at least on the highend cards Nvidia has started using Vapor chambers.

I disagree I have ran several benchmarks and normal Firefox beats out palemoon on my computer.
I might run them all again tomorrow and document this.
    Sunspider Results
    Firefox: 204.3
    Waterfox: 227.8ms
    Palemoon64bit: 243.1
    Firefox 18: 253.8

I will run some more tomorrow as this interests me.

I went the Microsoft Store on Sunday, talked to some of the employees there about things like software, and hardware, and had a really good conversation. I also asked them about how WIndows 8 would work on desktops. No, the first version of Windows 8(Windos 8 RT) to come out will not be the best. All you can do is run 1st party apps, play some games on Xbox live and earn achievements, and the Windows 8 style desktop is a side app. It works as a great tablet computer/Netbook, and is a very nice piece of tech, but not for a gamer. However, I did talk about Windows 8 Professional. Windows 8 professional, is a heavily upgraded version of Windows 8, that allows first, and third party apps, and in the System Preferences, and gives you the choice of Netbook, or Desktop interface. I for one will wait until 2013 for Windows 8 Pro, but the fact that Notch won't certify MC for Windows 8 is upsetting. Sure, Windows 8 RT isn't very open, but Windows 8 Pro is, and I hope he realizes that. If it comes to the point where PC gaming moves to Linux, I am open to switching as I used it for 2 years, but I hope people give it a chance first.

    -Master

The first version is not Windows 8 rt they are releasing the mobile and PC version at the same time. The RTM can run any Win7 app there is no option for interface.

on another note, why are intel cpu's getting bigger -_- ? That's probably their secret to make them faster.

intel might get a small share of motherboard sale profits? Or, more likely, motherboard manufacturers pay intel to make new cpu's on a different socket.

Actually die size wise Intel CPUs are getting smaller.

Haswell is moving more things onto the CPU this required the sockets to accommodate for this. Often with small pin changes its just a minor change but it breaks compatibility so they just move some pins around to prevent confusion.

A lot of computers sit no where near their TDP and you also need to calculate PSU inefficiency.

    What what.

They are one of the best screen manufactures for TN panels.
I recommended them on my monitor guide for a reason they have a great dead pixel policy while its not a zero tolerance its a lot better then any of the other budget TN panel manufactures.

ADATA is fine they are the second largest flash memory producer and a lot of other companies slap their label on them.

Be sure to mention that Dell monitors can be pretty good, and Hitachi makes a good 4tb drive as far as I know.

Dells only good monitors are the workstation IPS panels.

    Hitachi = Western Digital

The reason recently WD quality dropped was they were most damaged by the floods and they moved a lot of manufacturing to the Hitachi plants. They are basically WD crap drivers they do not want to risk their names on.

Sometimes I think all the regulars here should just go on that forum and correct all the hopeless 8 year olds...

So does this forum because everyone wants to be part of the hate circle jerk rather then actually create their own opinion.

No I hate the self righteous idea of people need to go around the internet correcting everything.
Mommy this person was wrong on the internet I have to correct everyone.
