    posted a message on Update: Quick tick chicken killer, not leaving drops

    Update: I downgraded my test world to 15w51b, and the chickens took the normal amount of ticks to die, and left their drops. Seems to be an issue in the latest snap shot.

    I am running the latest snap shot. I have built both the torch burnout off a competitor and a piston tick limiter dispenser set up to try and kill chickens. They light on fire and die in one tick. So is there a bug with this method?


    I built this for a test to start then I built the piston version to see if it was just the auto design.



    Any help would be appreciated.

    I am playing on the Win 10 beta edition, And I am trying to figure out my farm. I planted some wheat and went adventuring. I was gone from my spawn base for roughly 3 to 4 days in game time, using my bed to sleep while traveling. When I got back, none of the trees had grown and same with my wheat Will things only grow if you are beside them watching them? While I was traveling I did have the game force close a couple times and that might have affected them, but some of this wheat I planted the first in game day with very little growth at all. Thanks for the help.

    posted a message on Problem with restoring a backup.

    So I found the data where the saves are. I found the folder with my save level on it and made a copy. Now I have three worlds total in the minecraftworlds folder. Did I need to copy all three worlds or could I just copy the one world.... I just tried to restore my world after I found a bug and I wanted to take some screen grabs for Mojang.


    I copied the folder back into the save location. My inventory is all the same from when I took the screen grabs, but my world is all jacked up... Missing blocks... all the animals in my farm running around... Did I need to copy the whole minecraftworlds directory or is this a bug in the file system I need to send to Mojang also..


    steps for clarification.

    copied minecraftWorlds\uraq.....= to a new folder

    found bug, replicated it took screen grabs

    copied backup\uraq....= back to minecraftWorld\...

    let it overwrite

    reopened Minecraft, Steve still in the same place with the same inventory from screen grabs, but my world is missing blocks. They aren't the last blocks placed either.

    posted a message on PS3 over heating and locking up plus red stone issues since updates.
    Just wanted to put this out there to you guys.



    I have some toggles setup to turn pressure plates into off and on switches, i.e. Ethos chest room in the man cave. I also have some button toggles to work some hidden doors.



    Well my toggles, aren't working. I made them using the stickie piston trick. Where if you run a modified tick into the piston it will leave the block behind which is sitting over a redstone torch. That is a simplfied description.



    Well those aren't working. On top of that my old fat PS3 was over heating and yellow lighted of death after the update. So I got it fixed, overheated and froze again. So I got a brand new gen 3 ps3... over heating again and frozen. So I have to run a fan blowing at the PS3 to keep it working.



    Just wanted to pass this on if anyone else is having issues.

    posted a message on TU17 (Patch 1.07) What it does.
    Mobile is not infinite... Because of the cloud backup of xbox and playstation.. they needed to cap the world size to be able to handle sending the size of the files back and forth... Mobile version will fill up the small hard drive on the device and then you won't be able to save anything.. So you have to pay attention to how large the file is getting.

    The reasons they are not free is you are having to pay 4j studios to port the texture pack.. The mods are free not free on the PC version.. You just choose not to donate to the developer of that mod for their time.

    Also for the skins... there is a thing call fair use... If you create the skin for your own use you don't have to pay for it. But since Sony/Microsoft and 4j are making the skins to give to someone else they are having to pay a license to the company/person that owns that intellectual property.

    I think the company is Jinx that makes plushies... They want to make plushies for all the Minecrack guys... Which would be fine except some of them use premade character skins ie SethBling as Mario. So they would actually have to pay a license fee to Nintendo to make a Mario Plushie and put Sethbling on the tag.

    So before you yell like an idiot, that everything should be free, you have to look at the things are you are actually calling free are stolen property/time and effort, that you aren't willing to pay for. Nothing in life is free.

    The trick is to set the door on the ground then opening it against where you want it closed... That way the zombies see the door state set as open and won't try and knock it down...

    They are servers, that are exculsive white listed servers, mostly populated by people that make youtube videos. People talk about them because the Builders that populate the servers are good at artistic building and working out red stone projects, automatic farms and afk machines etc.

    So do a google search of those terms and watch the videos you might enjoy them and learn something.

    So what method were you using to get your infinite lave source? I will test it this afternoon, and see if it works for me. I have seen a couple glitch videos for xbox 360 but they are a year old.

    The Ps3 and Xbox don't have the computing power and memory that a normal PC has and therefore will never get the same things the PC version will have. The PS4 and Xbox1 might are able to come closer to power and memory and might get things like hoppers ect. without causing too much lag and system drain.
