They're currently working on animal farming. In 1.9, animals will breed, creating baby animals that grow over time. Making animals persistent and turning off respawn was simply the first step of that, and the later steps got delayed.

It's times like these you have to remember you're beta testing a game and just bear with the developers until they get the feature finished.

I think punishing the player for killing enemies with a trap is a terrible idea. Building traps to kill enemies fits perfectly into the theme of survival Minecraft - you're building a clever device to help you gather resources. The game would really suffer if that was replaced by simple combat grinding.

    Quote from TheCrow1234

It should not be released to Xbox, because of the bugs, They should really least wait until the game has fully come out in stores, Plus modders would not be able to mod because they have no idea how to mod xbox, mean yeh, It should be kept on PC for many reasons.

    1) It's being released this winter, well after the PC/Mac release, so it's not as though they're rushing it out.
    2) Concerning modding, Bethesda is trying to get mods on consoles and says the only problem is getting Microsoft and Sony to approve it. If they make any headway, it could lead to Microsoft supporting modding Minecraft.
