Just be thankful this isn't DICE/EA level.

Another ridiculous and poor attempt at a joke. April Fools is for little kids, not for gaming companies.
Wow, someone just sucked the joy out of the thread.

Phew, I made it through the whole thing!

Alas, it is tough to contend with children (or what seem to be) that control the server. If these happen to be adults that are doing this, however, well that is simply sad and they must clearly have a hard time functioning in society. Perhaps you could attempt to look for a respectable whitelist server? My server experience is a bit limited, but I would hope that owners who screen their applicants and have a smaller, more respectable community might better serve your needs.

Congratulations! Now that you have Forge installed, you'll need to move any mods you have downloaded into your .minecraft folder. To do this, go to your start menu and type %appdata%. Your .minecraft folder should be at the top. Open it and look for a "mods" folder (if there isn't one, you'll have to create one, all lower-case). This mods folder is, well as you can probably guess, where you will be putting your mods. Once they are downloaded, drop them in here and start up your Minecraft Launcher. If all goes well, and you have the correct version of everything, your Minecraft should now be modded!

Note that many mods are version specific.

You need to revert your Minecraft to 1.7.2 by clicking on "Edit Profile" in your Minecraft Launcher and using the drop down menu called "Use version". Here you should click the version of Forge you wish to use and save your profile. Now you're ready to run 1.7.2 mods.

Perhaps you should redirect such people towards examples of advanced redstone creations and the people who write their own code to implement as a mod. Let them try to wrap their heads around such topics.
