posted a message on Interview with C418, Composer for Minecraft!
From what I heard, when Shigeru Miyamoto first showed off The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword at E3 last year, there was so much interference from the cameras and stuff in the audience that the Wii censor struggled to read the motions of the Wiimote, and the stage demonstration was spotty because of it.

Thanks for the interview by the way. It's nice to see people do great things just for "shits n' giggles".

posted a message on Lens Blocks
I can get behind lanterns provided they use a more "glassy" texture like glass blocks. Better yet, if notch decides to take in the stained glass suggestion, then colored lanterns would look awesome under the new lighting engine. I don't see myself ever really using a lens block though. That's just me.

posted a message on Suggestion: Tintable Blocks/Paint
I'm just here to +1 this block painting thing.

Out of all suggestions on the entire list, this is the one I want most.
I want to paint wood blocks, stain/color glass, and I guess painting stone would be nice too, but I'm hoping for colored wood blocks if nothing else. I do like the dye + clay + bowl idea, since we don't use bowls enough.

posted a message on Endermen are cool, but not worse than Creepers
Evidently there's a lot of people on this forum who would beg to differ since endermen are capable of moving 1-2 blocks of people's "glorious builds" per night. As if their builds are exclusively targeted amongst the gargantuan landscapes.

In all accounts though, they're no better or worse than the established mobs. They fit right in I think.

posted a message on Minecraft.net's Skin Uploader broken.
So is anyone else having issues with Minecraft.net's skin uploader? Here's what's happening:

I click my profile, and notice the layout is slightly changed. Fine, whatever. I click Browse and select my skin. Nothing shows up in the directory bar, so I try again. Choose the skin, and nothing happens in the directory bar. I try to click that bar to type in the file directory myself, but WAIT - it opens up the "Browse" window as opposed to letting me type in the location of my skin. I click submit anyway, and get the red "Skin Required" notice on the upload bar. Rinse and repeat.

I've tried this on two different browsers (Firefox, Chrome), but the same issue arises.
What's happening here? Is the site being redone or something?

posted a message on Endermen moving blocks : stupid idea
The only thing I can agree with about the endermen is that they should not be able to move bedrock. I'm pretty much fine with them other than that.

People forget how simple the OTHER mobs are, and expect the newer ones to have the complexity of HAL 9000 + Wolverine. Every mob has it's simple role, and the endermen are no different.
Part of the problem is that people seem to forget that there is a creative mode for people that want to build they "super pretty" stuff, and that survival mode is there for you to survive more than it's there for you to build your newest MTV Crib. What, Enderman just opened up a hole in your safehouse? Good, I hope you get ambushed by a creeper.

Another part of the problem with most people is that when you tell them that this thing is going to be "creepy" or "scary", they start deconstructing everything about it before they experience it for themselves, they harden their fortitude, and then look at the new mob and think "alright, scare me".
We now have people like Kaldurenik who want to turn this thing into the bossiest boss mob in the game. The Endermen (other than the bedrock thing) are balanced enough as they are.

I'm actually a bit surprised that Zombies don't bust your doors down, or break a couple of blocks to get to you *snicker*

It looks AMAZINGLY FANTABULOUS!!!!! but the fact that "1.8 will come in a few weeks, and then 1.9" kinda bummed me out. I'd like some awesome new features ASAP, but I guess bug fixing takes quite a while T_T

I like what I've seen, but man I have no problem waiting for bugfixes. Especially when a third of the MC community is still experiencing Lag Spikes of Death. As valiant as the modding community is for trying to fix it, it would be much less of a pain for Mojang to handle the issue instead of leaving a nice juicy guessing game for a select few good modders.

So guys how's the outlook on that November release?

Babies for just stating my oppinion? Funny, no one can dislike something without getting pounced on.

Some of your opinions are fine, your stance on the brightness setting is perfectly acceptable. Some peoples' monitors don't handle Minecraft's nighttime very well. Enderman: again, opinion. Fine. Whatever. But I cannot agree with:

"Sprinting looks annoying?" (double-tapping forward, onoz!)
"My bow now acts like a bow?" (even though you can still single-click to shoot)
And are you really that much against health acting like it does in Peaceful Mode for as long as you keep your hunger level up? Will it be easier? Not necessarily. Is it going to break the game's difficulty? No it's not. God forbid we ever add a slight adjustment to the challenge to the game.

    My opinion.

hunger is going to be horrible... correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean that food will no longer heal health on the spot...? We have to wait until we are healed? *sigh*. The bow I'm have mixed feelings about, i loved the current mechanics, plain and simple. I don't like the whole have to hold it down then shoot idea. The brightness i am very excited about, the only reason i skip night time by sleeping and don't venture out in the night is because i couldn't see anything.Endermen look decent, not as scary as i expected though.Sprinting seems very annoying to use.Thats all i have to say /rant.

GREAT JUSTICE sir! Thank you for updating this texture pack. I love everything you've done, but one thing remains unedited:
    The Wolves.
Why not turn them into Jenka's dogs? Should be simple, right?

And in case you're still at odds with the sheep and its green conflicting with green dye, have you thought about a Mimiga-sheep instead? At least then they'd be white... I dunno. Definitely update the wolves though, that would be awesome!

Thank you and ForOhFor Error for this pack!

posted a message on screen goes black
From the sounds of it, I'm probably going to start playing through the browser, since the blackout apparently doesn't happen that way. I'm running windows 7, no mods, and this happens on both SMP and Solo. I did notice that when I have the task manager open and look at the processes list, the javaw.exe's memory usage steadily keeps growing and growing until it hits around 800,000 and :tnt: the program. Maybe that can tell a good programmer something?

Why does it continue to increase like that?
