posted a message on things I noticed (or am I just crazy?)

These are the various changes that were supposed to accompany the combat update. Although 4J has skipped and will probably never add the full changes to combat, the game had been made a bit more difficult for us anyway

Well, Amplified Worlds are exclusive to newer gen consoles aside from Wii U.

Amplified worlds are a PC feature as well

posted a message on Can't spawn ender dragon! Help please

Unfortunately, you have to reset the End for this to work.

Even if you didn't have to reset it, the dragon can destroy blocks and might destroy your castle. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(

i have recently herd that the update TU46 has come out so i jumped on Minecraft (xbox one edition) and realized i didn't have the update. what could i do to fix this

Check your network connection. It's possible that you've disconnected from the internet and can't download the update.

Otherwise, the update might have downloaded on its own without you realizing. Try loading up the game and looking for a few new features. For example, load a world in creative and see if there are End Crystals in the miscellaneous section of the creative menu.

posted a message on MCXBLA OFFICIAL KNOWN BUGS DISCUSSION

Has the difficulty increased? I'm getting slaughtered by skeletons (is this due to their bizarre strafing behavior) and even in full iron armor a single creeper blast takes me out. Or is this buggy too?

Also, villager AI seems more broken than ever. I lost 80% of a village because they simply refuse to go indoors at night. They will stand in front of doors, but not go in and they will run around within their wandering distance, but when night falls, they just stand around like they have no idea what's going on. Could this be related somehow to all of the lighting issues going on? (I had full daylight at about level 20 in a cave, despite being no where near open sky).

The difficulty change is a feature

posted a message on End City portal not spawning after I kill Dragon

You can actually respawn the Enderdragon using craftable end crystals and get a maximum of 4 different End Gateways in one single end. I've heard, but not yet confirmed, that one of these gateways is guaranteed to lead to a city.

posted a message on Empty End Cities, Loot Changes, and Overall Discussion Thread

I'll have to take a look for myself. I've only tested out two different end gateways, both of which had plenty of chorus forests, but no cities. Reading on the wiki, looks like both End Cities are completely randomized. There are several different rooms that can spawn next to each other, randomized each time. The islands themselves, in terms of shaping, is randomized in the same way all terrain is.

If you're wondering why you get such random results, it's because each end island is a sort of seed in and of itself. The primary end island has it's own barriers, so the end cities that get loaded in afterwards are their own subdimensions that uniquely generate. The same seed can get an infinite number of different end city variations.

Hope I'm understanding your question correctly, and hope this can provide some insight.

posted a message on So in a classic size map, how do rare do you think the woodland mansion is gonna be?

Probably as hard to find as ocean monuments are. Looking through a bunch of classic sized seeds, you really only get a temple from one of 10-15 seeds, so I imagine that the same will go for the mansions.

Forgot about those. But the terrain isn't changing, just getting a new structure. You could igloos to generate on unloaded chunks

I've recently being trying a weirder style of building with acacia fences. Not impressive in words, but they huts look pretty cool when you see them. I'll attach a screenshot if I remember

Sideways slabs would create an even create problem. I support this idea, but I'm also wondering how this would even work

I don't know, because it's fairly easy to build a golem. I wouldn't mind seeing villagers wield tools and armor though

Apologies for any confusion, yes that was what I was asking if old worlds would still be available after the 1.9 console update. Excuse my newbish experience with the game since other games usually require a restart after massive updates. Thanks for the information though, much appreciated

No new biomes or terrain features in the overworld, so the world generator should stay the same in the next update. Seeds from the current version should produce the same worlds in the next update. The only exception is the end, which will include a whole section of new items. The only thing you'd miss out on is some of the new end stuff, like the chorus plants, end bricks, and, most unfortunately, Elytra wings :(

The majority of the 1.9 update is new combat and item features, will fit in seamlessly with whatever you have in your current world.
