At this point I hope Mira gets her refund soon, just so this issue can be put down and the ANF can have their small victory.

Unfortunately I only noticed once it was pointed out. Little late for edits.

The simple fact is if someone is completely satisfied with something, they will want their money back, or compensation if that service was provided free of charge.
I find that very hard to believe. I've never wanted compensation for anything with which I am completely satisfied.

It was a typo, obviously. I left out a "not".

Edit: I also noticed that the three detractors that are a few posts above mine have a combined post total of 74. One guys has one, one has three, and the other has 69. Good to see school is out.

My post count matters why, exactly?

Unless my eyes deceive me, it seems as though Steks, with a lowly post count of now 70, has been a member of these boards longer than you have.

I didn't notice that before, but he's been a member for nearly 2 months and is already Elitist. Nice.

i was never talking about me in the first place. If you would read the thread at all you'd know this already.

I wasn't refering to you in the first place.

No one is going to convince you that this game isn't as awful as you seem to believe that it is. You have this idea that Notch is at his place in Sweden with his feet on his desk enjoying the highlife and doing nothing with this game. Do you honestly believe that he is doing nothing to resolve these issues? Do you honestly believe that he would allow all his hard work to go down the shitter because of the servers? Do you honestly believe he is ignoring these issues and concerns?

He might be "ignoring" those that demand a refund, but if the policy is within 7 days, and you're not in that 7 days, what do you hope to achieve? Judging by your post count I believe I'm safe to assume you are not eligible for a refund. I also saw mention of the BBB here, and you can try going to them, but I think the "Cliche" reasoning that the game is still in Beta is reason enough to have your claim laughed off, in addition to the fact that these issues are being worked out.

I didn't bandwagon hop and decide I was going to defend Notch. I decided to post here because I don't see the issues with the game as reason enough to demand a refund. Are you not exicted to find out what the future holds for this game? Are you not interested to see what new things await us? We all agree the game has issues. I myself find the way the water works to be annoying and frustrating, but I don't let it ruin the experience. I was also upset and disappointed when I wasn't able to login, but I just did something else until I was able to enjoy the game again.

It has already been made clear that server upgrades are in the works, and that in the future there will be much less downtime for this game. Are you just too impatient to wait for that to happen, or is there another reason you plan to give up on this game?

You claim that children are spoiled, yet you are the ones demanding instant results for the server issues, while the "Spoiled Children" are the ones that are enjoying the game.

I see you've taken it upon yourself to show that you're actually just looking for an argument over this. Post count doesn't mean anything, especially not in a conversation/discussion such as this. Elitism is for those with flawed arguments they can't prove otherwise.

Is $15 a lot of money to some? Yes. But then you shouldn't have bought the game if you couldn't afford it in the first place. I work in customer service and see this thoughtlessness regularily. If you can't afford something, then don't buy it and then demand a refund when you realize you actually need that money. If you honestly can't afford $15 and you need that money back, you have made a judgement error that started when you inserted your credit card information to purchase the game.

This game is in Beta, a phase that is notorious for bugs and errors. Everyone that plays video games on a regular basis are aware of the fact that games must undergo testing before relase to ensure quality, and that is where Minecraft is right now. The game has its flaws, and that is the whole point of having a Beta test. If the game was in its final released form, then these arguments would be more valid, but no one is trying to hide the fact that the game has flaws currently, but that is why it is in Beta Testing and not release.

As for your information, since you took it upon yourself to assume that I was a child, I'm not. As I have stated I work in customer service for a large company, I work for my money and I earn it, I don't receive it from my parents, or from anyone else. If you want a discussion about this, you should try being less hostile and assuming of others. Just because we don't agree with you doesn't mean you need to resort to childishness.

Edit: Requesting a refund for a product in Beta because the developer is working on making the servers more stable in the future is also ridiculous. Just to address the OP.

The simple fact is if someone is completely satisfied with something, they will want their money back, or compensation if that service was provided free of charge. (See everytime the PSN goes down and visit Sony's forums. Tons of people demanding free stuff over a few hours of downtime on a free service.) I'm fairly new to Minecraft myself, only having started playing a few days ago, and on my very first day of play the servers went down, and I couldn't play. Was I upset? A bit. Did I want a refund? No. This game is still in Beta. I understood what I was getting when the $15 was paid, and I accepted the fact that there would be downtimes and general issues with the game itself. This is an incomplete game, a work in progress. Asking for a refund on this game is like seeing a half constructed building and demand it be tore down before you even see what it looks like in the end.

I've played some awful games that have made it into the market, like Fable II at launch, and releasing an incomplete game full of glitches and issues that can result in loss of data or a complete restart of your game because an NPC dialog box is always activated is something to demand a refund over. Coming across the same issues in a Beta environment is different, because you are aware that the game is not finished. Could you demand a refund? Sure, but you likely won't get one.
