I've only really seen it happen if I travel into an area where it's adding terrain, but my computer is fast enough I ignore the choppy moment unless I'm fighting a skeleton or running like hell from a creeper.

Have you ever been banned? Nope, I've only been on one other server and I chose to leave it behind due to lag
Why would you like to join? To have a place where I can build with others in survival.
PAST SMP STORIES: I was on a very nice little server recently, unfortunately things ended up way too laggy for me to stay so I'm once again searching for a multiplayer home
REASON TO JOIN: I'm looking for a smallish server that doesn't lag horribly. I tend to build medium sized buildings primarily. The massive towers aren't my thing, so I don't clutter up the skyline. I enjoy building lots of buildings with different purposes in mind, like various workshops, guard huts, and protected fishing huts. I do tend to go on rampages through zombies, skeletons, and other denizens of the night, especially when I'm on a server that's not lagging so badly that combat is nearly impossible.
Edit: Insomnia+posting makes for some amusing (at least to me) posts.
