AMIDST Project Formerly Minecraft Stronghold Finder
Advanced Minecraft Interface and Data/Structure Tracking
About
AMIDST is designed to help enhance the process of finding structures, biomes, and players in minecraft.
By accessing your minecraft files, it's able to draw the biomes of the world out and show where points of interest are likely to be.
What AMIDST can do.
- Find Strongholds
- Find Villages
- Find Witch huts
- Find Temples
- Find Player Spawn
- Map Biomes
- Move Players
- Save an image of the map
- Load map data from different versions of Minecraft.
What AMIDST can't do.
- Show modifications to the world.
- Give information on individual blocks.

AMIDST v3.7 Supports 1.2.4 - 1.7.4
( Ad free | Adf.ly ) Windows [Exe]
( Ad free | Adf.ly ) Mac OS X [App]
( Ad free | Adf.ly ) Linux [Jar]
Please note: I am unable to create Mac builds for the moment. I suggest using the Linux version as a Mac user. The current link may be broken.
Previous Changes:
Since there were quite a few, I've grouped them a bit. (Hopefully I don't miss any)
Major Changes:
- AMIDST is now under GPL v3
- Completely reworked the profile selector.
- Added automatic seed histories. If AMIDST detects a "history.txt" file next to it, it will write a time stamp followed by the seed for each seed you enter.
- Added smooth fragment fading. (This may be disabled in the options menu) Enabling this will cause all fragments to fade in when loaded.
- Most crashes now create a "crash dialog" containing a log that can easily be pasted.
- A licenses window has been added to the help menu. This will contain all relevant license information for AMIDST and its libraries.
- Added option to set the default world type to any of the world types or "prompt each time".
- Switching maps no longer eats up extra memory. (This will be a huge improvement in memory/processing performance when loading new maps)
- Rendering speeds have been vastly improved.
- Fixed issue where files would not be properly closed.
Minor Changes/Fixes:
- Hidden files/folders now show when opening a world from a file/folder.
- Added 1.7.4 to official version list.
- A new option is availible in the Options menu called "Show Debug Info". Enabling this will add a small panel to the map viewer containing debug information on fragments.
- Library loading now follows OS rules correctly. (This should fix a number of errors with loading)
- AMIDST now returns "4" on crashes. This will change at a later date to include various error codes.
- Mac OS X users should no longer experience the "corrupted" issue.
Command Line Support:
- Added a "-mcpath " flag for users to specify the path to their .minecraft directory.
- Added "-log " flag. Using this flag will cause AMIDST to write all log output to the specified file. AMIDST should create a file if it does not exist.
- Added "-history " to specify where AMIDST should write seed history to. If AMIDST cannot find a file at the path you've specified, it will attempt to make one.
Biome Color Profiles:
Overview: This was something that was added in 3.5, but I've improved on a bit for 3.6. Color profiles let you set what color each biome shows up as. To activate them, simply create a folder named "biome" next to AMIDST. After launching AMIDST again, a new file should appear in that folder called "default.js". It will contain the default options for a color profile. You may edit this directly, or create new color profiles within the folder (following the same design as default.js). Any subdirectories will show up as sub-menus. (There is also support for shortcuts, as mentioned in this post)
- Added support for biome nicknames. (Example: [ "Ice Plains", { "alias":"Really cold place", "r":255, "g":255, "b":255 } ] )
- Duplicate biome colors are now supported.
- default.json is not much cleaner.
- Biome profiles no longer cause an empty profile list when there's a syntax error.
- A new menu option for reloading your list of biome color profiles has been added.
3.5
- Fixed issue where some Mac OS X users would not have their window refresh.
- Fixed loading from amplified worlds.
- Fixed the map jumping around when a menu was opened.
- Selecting the default profile will now attempt to load 1.7.2.
- Adjusted the organization of some menus.
- Added 1.7.2 to official version list.
- AMIDST will now only load the libraries specified by the selected version.
- Added support for biome color profiles. An explanation of this will later be added to the wiki. Until then, please use check the latest forums posts or ask around.
- Basic wiki page added to BitBucket here.
- Mac OS X version now launches with extra memory.
3.4
- Added support for 13w39a/b
- AMIDST now loads all libraries contained in the .minecraft/libraries folder.
- Greatly reduced the file size for AMIDST.
3.3
- Increased performance for filling in image data.
- Slightly reduce memory usage for structure generation.
- Added official support for 13w37b.
- Reduced memory usage from grid layer.
- Increased performance for drawing biome layer.
- Added FPS counter.
- Improved detection of multiplayer maps.
- Major performance improvements for zoomed out maps.
- Added spawn location icon.
- Added option to toggle framerate panel in the menus.
- Added official support for 13w38a/1.6.4.
- (Default) now selects 1.6.4

This is looking good- but the rate at which it works, or doesn't work, seems rather random. We tested this out for a couple days on our server, and tried a variety of things; Making sure we hit the bottom log, hitting the second to bottom log (worked more often than not, about 75% of the time, this worked to chop down whole trees), using different axes (even axes from the same mods seemed to work sporadically). Over all, I think something is wrong with the way the algorithm is calculating the tree, and it seems like just a straight up $%#@ shoot if it's going to work or not. Not to mention that if we tried to knock down a tree with not enough durability on our axes, we go the message saying 'not enough durability, disabling tree chopping' and the mod stopped working all together, and didn't start working again until the server was restarted. Making brand new axes, swapping hands, etc, did nothing to kick the mod in the butt and force it to work again.
Keep working on this; I know a lot of people (me included) desperately need this quality of life feature in Minecraft, especially for modded trees higher than 20 blocks. x_x Good luck!

Good luck ^.^! <3

Hey everyone! I've been seeing people posting modpacks in this forum so I wanted to share my 1.7.10 RPG Modpack here, MysticBlade!
PLEASE NOTE: This modpack is designed to be HARD. I mean REALLY, REALLY, hard. I'm not kidding, I'm not toning it down. I designed it so that even a VERY experienced minecraft player would find it challenging to survive; that's the way I want it, and that's the way it will remain.
TO HELP WITH THAT, I am editing the post below into a 'How to Survive MysticBlade 101'. Hopefully this will help the people that find the pack hard, but enjoy playing: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/mod-packs/2218702-mysticblade-1-7-10magicrpgadventuresurvival#c2

Public Server Access Form: (Slots are limited, apply today if you're serious about playing on a server where teamwork is fun, and important!)undefinedhttp://steamcommunity.com/groups/MysticBladeServer
Future:
The modpack currently is perfectly enjoyable and playable as is, however I do also plan on adding an RPG Map to be included in a future version download that will include custom NPC's, factions, and towns.
Donations:
Donations to get a new server and keep it running are GREATLY appreciated. The machine the server is currently running on isn't capable of supporting a player base who explores (80% of what the modpack is about!) so I would like to get a good, dedicated server setup. Since I don't have a job atm because I'm watching a baby 24/7 I have no way to pay for one out of pocket other than the couple dollars a month I make off my youtube.
MysticBlade Server Donation!
I want to hit my initial goal before I do anything because I'd rather not provide server service on a month by month basis as this isn't steady, reliable, or fair to players- Not to mention time consuming on my end, if I need to move the ever growing server files from machine to machine as service stops and starts.
Initial Goal: $150 will pay for 6 months of dedicated server services
Stretch Goal: $300 will pay for ONE YEAR of server services
So, what do you get for donating? Since MC ToS has changed significantly, I'm obviously not able to offer certain things to players. Here is what I can do:
$10 -- You will get a statue inside the Cathedral in Andelor (this may change to a sign if I can't get the statue mod to work). Guards in town will mention your name in random conversation w/players.
$15 -- $10 sign/statue in the Cathedral and I will make you a hirable non-combat NPC Critter Companion with minimal dialogue. (Rabbit, Squirrel, Ram, Raven, Bird, Horse, Cat, Dog, etc)
$20 -- $10 sign/statue, the non-combat NPC Critter Companion, and a non-hirable NPC of your design placed at your base to act as whatever you want (Butler, Maid, Stable Master, Cook, BFF, Significant Other, etc) who has custom dialogue fitting the compnion role you choose.
$30+ -- Give me an idea

It looks like you backspaced some stuff there that shouldn't have been removed. Here is an example of mine, I bolded what needs to be fixed, hopfully it will help you

Gany. You are awesome. Ever since I saw the crafting tables in an OLD Direwolf20 video with custom matching wood, I looked around LITERALLY for years to try and find it. I recently found the mod that added them originally, but it was combined with a TON of other stuff that I didn't really need or want in my modpack, as it was already big enough, and I had mods in it that already did a lot of the things it added. So I just want to say a HUGE, HUGE thank you for this. Your mods have added a silly amount to the quality of life in my minecraft universe, and I use a BUNCH of them in all the modpacks I make. (Woodstuff, Gany's Nether, and Et Futurum mainly) Please keep up the awesome work, and being such an wonderful influence on the minecraft modding community. Modders don't get repayed enough for all their hard work and time they put into what will mostly give them nothing in return, so I wanted to make sure that you at least got a nice thank you from a big fan. <3 Wolf

Ya, I think it is. I probably goofed up the config. I'll see what I can do to fix it tonight- baby is being.... cranky. xD

Hmm, that's peculiar. I'll look into that right now!

Ahhh ok! Glad to hear you plan to fix it ^^ And I'll see what I can do for some textures :3

I can see about making you some alternate textures ^.^ Example of my work:
Logo for jaredlll08's magic mod: http://prntscr.com/6vvx71
Pixel art tools for my own mod: http://prntscr.com/4pa358
Pixel art jewelry replacer for Unique Artifacts: http://prntscr.com/5cz8vn
Also! I wanted to let you know- when this mod is installed with Custom NPC's, the 'tab' that shows up above the player's inventory is invisible. It looks like Custom NPC's and your mod both use the same slot for that tab, because Custom NPC's tab shows up, but when clicked, it goes to your jewelry tab. Might be something to look at if you have time

If that's the case and you decide to add third-party bosses, you might want to consider adding Ars Magica 2's guardians- they are pretty much a guaranteed source of skill orb drops which can be used to progress insanely fast through the magic tiers which allows you to acquire very powerful magic without having to make any of the lower level spells or components.

I'd like to try and get Primal Mana from Thermal Foundation to work as tool parts. Also, I doubt it has to do with your mod, but figured I'd ask; once I actually GET Primal Mana working as a liquid tool component- will it work properly pouring out of the smeltery? Currently I can get it in, but it refuses to pump/drain out.
Thanks for the info! I've been having fun adding lots of tool parts using gems from BoP, Project Red, and AE2
Edit: As a note, this isn't necessarily directed at the OP- if ANYONE has gotten liquid working as a crafting component, I'd be interested in how you did it
Edit2: Just for more information, I've tried this, and it gives me a crash.
