Jan 9, 2013Wogu posted a message on 1.7.X [Forge] (S[SM]P) Vanity Blocks Mod (updated 7-1-2016)Isn't that hay bale block just Vanilla with Sprinkles' wheat texture with a Gaussian blur filter applied to it?Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Dec 12, 2012I didn't think I'd actually like this mod, but it's pretty great. I do agree it could be more balanced.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
I don't think adding a new mob would be necessary though. Maybe make it so witches drop duple dust sometimes?

Although another tool tier is not necessary, I feel that there is way too much difference between iron and diamond durability. Although it does makes sense, in a way, I wish there was another metal tool tier, at least to balance it out a little more. Maybe just adding copper to take iron's durability place and moving iron from 256 durability to like 350-450 at the most. I'd say more, but iron isn't extremely strong by comparison to diamond, so there has to be a 'clear' difference between the two, other than visually.
i guess. copper would be stupid though. just make ruby in between diamond and iron. ruby is cooler.

What about more variety, sidegrades to the existing tiers, but with different up/downsides?
I kind of thought obsidian tools with a speed between wood and stone but hella durability would be pretty nice (but very low enchantibility) so it's like the opposite of gold

Well, I think Minecraft has enough tool tiers to handle anything and everything headed its way right now.
that is literally what i just said but yeah
Nov 25, 2012Okay.Posted in: Discussion
I just wanted to make a thread about this because it SHOULD be common sense but for some reason people still want superultramegahypercharged obsidian tools or whatever.
Mods like Metallurgy have always made me cringe. The tools look nice. There's a lot of variety.
But it's redundant as hell.
Minecraft has five tiers of tools, wood, stone, iron, gold, and diamond. That is all it will ever need, ever, for the rest of eternity. Ever. No more. And why do I say that? Enchantments. More specifically unbreaking and efficiency. A tool with Unbreaking III makes a tool last about four times as long. That includes diamond tools. A tool with Efficiency IV makes most blocks break instantly except for obsidian (which still breaks crazy fast). If you have a diamond pickaxe with unbreaking III and efficiency V, isn't that just as good as the superultramegahypercharged obsidian tools you want added so badly?
Sure those enchantments are difficult to get, but it SHOULD be hard to get. It's the fastest and strongest possible pickaxe in Minecraft.
Armor doesn't have unbreaking, though. Oh well. Still, protection IV is still a crazy overpowered enchant.
Nov 25, 2012oh CHRIST where do i begin.Posted in: Discussion
maybe a modding api? i'm tired of reinstalling my mods every time an update comes out.
maybe more balance to PVP?
more blocks and furniture even if the only use is for decoration.
probably more interesting enchantments. like silk touch.
i don't even know.

As for the emerald mod.
I don't think emeralds should be used for tools and armor, since it's a currency it literally means you're wearing MONEY ARMOR.
but that's not what i don't like about the mod
Why is it stronger than diamond? If I wanted a stronger set of tools than diamond for whatever reason I'd just enchant my diamond stuff. There is really no need for stronger tools than that. However, there is a HUGE gap between iron and diamond as far as strength and durability goes, why not make it in between there instead? It only makes sense too, diamond is hard as hell irl. Emerald is not.
Nov 11, 2012This needs to be WAY more popular.Posted in: Resource Packs
I don't think Optifine does skyboxes though, only some CTM, custom colors ect. And MC patcher isn't compatible with Optifine as far as I know. I kinda need Optifine to run Minecraft I use a laptop. Oh well. Still gonna use this.
Nov 10, 2012Wogu posted a message on [1.6.2] Vanilla with Sprinkles - Mods built to fit closely with the vanilla game (Last updated: 9/8)Jesus christ I love this mod to bits. HAVE I EVER MENTIONED THAT BECAUSE I DON'T THINK I DID. My favorite parts have to be the wheat golem and the wheat blocks.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
This mod is just doing everything right and not throwing in a bunch of redundant bullcrap like half the other mods out there.
The only issue I have with it is that Rotation Key is incompatible with Optifine, it still works, but they both use the ctrl key, Optifine uses it to zoon in at the same time Rotation Key uses it to rotate blocks. I don't think either mods have a config file to change that (if i'm not mistaken) (i feel like i'm probably mistaken) so if you could ever get around to adding that I'd be grateful.
