    Do you have any plans for ancient manuscripts? I'm in early-mid game and I'm contemplating turning them to glue, with the changes to cows and stuff.

    The 1.5.2 noloader version (mainly used with the mod Better Than Wolves for those wondering) also has those problems mentioned above. The texture for the CraftGuide book is also missing.

    I'm debating whether I should go find a village or wait for the next update. Am I gonna miss anything if I find a village now rather than after the next update?

    When a baby wolf grows up it teleports to you but I think it remains seated (it's been a while, I can't remember). So you might want to retrace your steps :)

    Thank you :D found him sitting in the rain outside my windmill.

    That seems like a really messed up system though (not just baby wolf teleporting when they grow up, but wolves teleporting in general - when following the player and sometimes when bugs occur). Would it be reasonable of me to suggest a revamp?

    My baby wolf just disappeared :( I just went to tan some leather and when I came back, my baby wolf (who was seated right next to his parents) was gone. Was that some kind of bug or some feature I didn't know about? Maybe he starved or something? (I'm new with wolves in BTW) Have anyone else had that happen to them?

    1.7 pre-release is out. Just what I expected, another half-assed "terrain update." I'm outta here. Nice protesting with you all. Adios.

    It's always been this way. Go on version 1.6 and earlier and /tp to 3000000 64 3000000 then take one more step.

    Every biome generates differently now. That includes the old biomes.
    It's not perfect, but major changes have already started happening.

    Yes, but there's so much more that could be done, but once again, Mojang doesn't seem so willing to do it. They've made the terrain better, no question about that.

    If Mojang cared about every single mod/plugins, the game would still be in alpha.

    If Mojang cared about mods/plugins, we'd already have the API.

    They'll never add GLSL Shaders into minecraft; keep dreaming.

    You don't say? Obviously it would be optional and only those who can run it (which are those who don't have an absolute crap pc, if done right) will use it. It would be nice to have shaders in vMC because it will always be up to date. Shaders mods take quite a while to update (at least the good ones like SEUS).

    Quote from mjrpes

    i timed how many blocks traveled in 30 seconds, so these numbers are approximate:

    walking = 4.3 blocks/sec
    running = 5.6 blocks/sec
    flying = 11 blocks/sec

    to reach the wall you'd need to travel 30,000,000 in one direction from origin. given a flat world:

    walking = 80 days
    running = 62 days
    flying = 31.5 days

    obviously it would take longer with terrain, but hopefully not years.

    That's in a completely straight line going one direction on a flat terrain with no hunger. With terrain and hunger, it will take a lot longer. Take kurtjmac's Far Lands or Bust as an example of how long it takes to get far with terrain, and then add the time that you'll spend dealing with food, which takes more when you're constantly sprinting. Probably would add a good 20 days (too lazy to do the math myself like I was last time). Either way, 80 days is still a really long time. 80 x 24 = 1920 hours. Obviously you're gonna have to sleep in real life, and I doubt you'll be playing the whole 16 hours you're awake. Considering all that, it will take you a year, maybe two, to get to the end of the world. (guess I misquote the 24/7 part).

    Didn't you know that it's always been like this since the farlands were gone? As already mentioned, past 30 million blocks, terrain will still continue to generate but trees won't spawn and you'll fall into the void if you try to step in land. I saw the calculations somewhere here in the forums of how long it will take to walk to the end of the world, and it's years in real life, 24/7, so it's essentially infinite.
