My least favorite thing in MC is finding the darned Nether Fortress. I don;t suppose the author, or any other kind contributor could put the coordinates to Nether Fortresses in the spreadsheet?

We know mods will never get added due to Microsoft and Sony, but could 4J Studios take a mod and actually incorporate it into the game itself, so it's actually part of the installed game?

I don;t know if this has been mentioned, I have not read all 21 pages here, but I'm so very, very tired of animals pushing their way through fences. Most times, if you hit them or something, they'll magically zip as fast as can be back into the pen, so the game is thinking of them as still in the pen, and corrects itself if you try to interact with them, but it's damn frustrating and irritating. Not to mention other animals magically getting caught in the pens. I was harvesting wheat, not really watching what I was doing because how hard is harvesting wheat, when I accidentally hit a wolf who magically appeared inside my fenced in wheat field, which of course **** all the wolves off, who attacked me. Certainly wasn't ready for that. Why use fences at all if animals can just push their way through them. Argh!!!

I know on the PC version, this used to happen, but I do not know if it was ever corrected as I stopped playing the PC version quite some time ago. But either way, as I stated already, it's just damn irritating and frustrating.

    Quote from Sleighty»
For God's sake fix the glitch people don't want to cheat they want a challenge. Or we might as well play creative all the time.

Cheating is a choice... If you don't want to cheat... then don't.

If you're playing a randomly generated world, chances are... no. If you're playing one of the seeds from the Seeds forum, most people list where things are for specific seeds.

Thank you Jerry, I appreciate your response. I've been thinking of transforming the open pens into an enclosed barn. I'm in a jungle biome, and the sheer number of wolves and ocelots make keeping animals a real PITA. Ocelots keep eating my chickens and wolves keep eating my sheep. Argh... I'll try the 3 block high fence first and see how that looks.

Were there any Extreme Hills in this seed? I suppose I could just check it out for myself, but thought I'd ask since it'll be a bit before I can go home and try it out. I don't know why, but I really love the Extreme Hills biome... Regardless, thanx for this!

posted a message on Animals and fences
What is the deal with animals and fences? They constantly bunch up around the fence, especially if there's a gate. They're constantly magically getting out of the pen... Wolfs keep magically getting into the pens... It just seems like so much animal chaos... Am I better off not using fences, but either digging a pit or enclosing them with dirt, etc...?

I tamed a wolf, and he just doesn't seem to want to come in the house at all... Is it because they just won't enter houses?

posted a message on The Nether as it relates to seeds
Is the Nether dynamically generated upon the first time it's entered, or if I play a given seed, the Nether would be the same because of the seed?

posted a message on Who speaks for the lower skilled players in the mods?
Most of these mods do not require more skill to play, they require more patience to collect resources to build the things some of the mods make available. Anyone can play them, they are not excluded. If beginners or intermediary players are finding them "too hard" to play, then they shouldn't play them. It's really as simple as that. They are all purely optional. Most mod developers develop the mods they want to play. The fact that others can also play them is just a side benefit. I see no point to a mod maker not making the mod they want to make just because some people will find it too hard. Let them look for the simpler mods that are available.

posted a message on Who speaks for the lower skilled players in the mods?
Some of these mods are meant specifically to give a greater challenge to those who are no longer challenged with vanilla minecraft, they are not meant for beginner players. What sort of mods would you envision being for beginners? I'm sure there's already a lot out there for those beginners. So why should mod developers not build the mods they want because some beginners would find them too difficult?
