Hm. I would like to ask a Community Question that will, not only help me with mapmaking, but probably with motivation in general.
COMMUNITY QUESTION: How do you stay motivated enough to keep making a map until it's done? What do you do / what techniques do you use when you don't feel motivated anymore to make the map?
The reason I'm asking is I'm having weird issues trying to keep the motivation to complete the map I'm making.
It almost seems like I'm losing motivation to map anymore. I have all these cool ideas, but when it comes to actually trying to get to them, it doesn't seem to feel like I want to do it. I do have these random "mapping bursts" where I'll actually get things done and that kind of thing, but those don't last long. If I'm lucky, they'll last a week. :/ They will commonly go for maybe an evening, or up to two days most commonly.

Sep 3, 2013Ender Dragon time sounds good for me. But it also sounds like we're going to kill the Ender Dragon before I get diamonds.Posted in: PC Servers

Because, I wish to engage in sensible conversation with members of this server/community, and keep up to date on server events and watch videos for entertainment.
Sums it up pretty well I think.
Many of the server members here have already expressed that they do not want to talk with you, and would prefer talking amongst themselves. There will be plenty of posting to notify members of events, and most members who will be making videos will most likely post it here.
I'm not sure you understand. I'm not calling you out on being dumb, unintelligent, or stupid. But I'm not sure you are seeing the entire picture.
Sep 1, 2013So I recently got pranked. Again. This time I found my floor gone, and instead replaced with a flowing water source. My dogs were floating in them. All they left was a sign saying:Posted in: PC Servers
Looks like the dogs are having fun :D

The CTM Topic we are now discussing is this: If you are going to make a map, is it better to start with a mini-CTM map for training purposes, or is it better to create a full 16 wool map to get the full experience of mapmaking? What did you do when you started mapping?
I still haven't released my own first map, but I would most likely seriously recommend doing a minimap. Much easier to finish and release, and you don't get burned

Bold responding to default, go! I second this. Insulting my reading abilities came out of nowhere, along with you telling me I don't dedicate time to this thread, of which I am TRYING to start now, but I'm really starting to dislike this thread in general now.
PLEASE don't respond to me if you don't have anything nice to say. I don't purposefully make comments sound hostile, and I in no way think that everyone in this thread will do whatever I want. I have never said that. So please, think before responding. Thank you.
Skeeto has already asked that you stop, and now I shall ask the same. It is not a good idea to reply even though someone has clearly stated you do not.
You claim that you do not make them sound hostile, yet clearly, from the points of views of many of the others here, we can't help to read and think that you are talking with a hostile tone.
The claim that it takes 10 seconds to save 10 minutes from yours is also quite clearly wrong, as in order to sum up all the activity you missed, it would take the person dragging that out 30 minutes to read all of that, plus probably an extra 1-5 minutes to write up the post to type it up, depending on how fast they type. In your final statement at the bottom of your post, you claim that we need to think before responding. But really, who thinks here. Skeeto has already asked you to stop politely and maturely, and now I am asking you with a post who is also quite mature. While I do agree that Infamy could have acted a bit better in the situation, you do not have to act rashly in return. We all have to keep calm in the situation.
Infamy, while I do agree that he could have been more than capable of reading that on his own, to act rashly against him is not the spirit that we want here. We are a nice and inviting community. To act rashly against him is not how we act here.
But at the same time, Baked, you should not act rashly in return. This is not how the community shall be viewed and treated like. You may participate, but we need to make sure some of the members need to learn proper greeting methods
I would like both of you to think about your actions, and if anything of the matter returns, we as admins may have to talk further about it.
I now rest my case.

Pranks wars. There will be pranks, and they will nasty. And if anyone messes with me, payback will be a as our favorite pigman says.

NOTE: Never never EVER prank Delthyn. You will get pranked back badly. It will be a son of a [redacted].
Aug 29, 2013Hey, thanks for letting me on. I'm sorry to those who didn't make it, and hope you guys get a chance in the future. So I guess I'll see you on there soon.Posted in: PC Servers

I'm thinking about that, where you can manipulate how many hearts they have, or the attributes, so it could be manipulated so that the zombies and the mobs you face early on are weaker than the normal mobs, and you scale as you get better and better gear.
I think that's what I'm going to do. Reduce the hearts of the mobs so that they are weaker at the beginning, but still pose a challenge, and scale health as time goes on.

That's a great idea! By the way, what texture/resource pack is that?
That was a combination of Faithful 32x32, and Three_Two's GUI, and Water.
I managed to port most of his GUI from that texture pack into my 1.6 custom resource pack(s), which right now consist of a 16x resource pack with Default, with a touch of Wayuki, Three_Two, and Faithful.
