[On the roof of a building]

After climbing staircases up to the upper level of an apartment building that seemed to be mostly unharmed, Argos observed the city from above, looking around, trying to find what could have caused it. He hadn't been to this particular city many times, mostly only to get a few resources and tools he couldn't find in the city closes to his forest. and to study the nature of the monument that lay in the city... wait.. the monument.. He realized that something was missing, and looked east, where the monument would normally be, and there, he saw nothing. Oh.. The monument had broken he assumed, something that rarely happened, but he had heard stories about the damage that it caused when it did happen.
Many times more worried then he was when he entered the city, he began pondering over if he should approach where the monument once stood, or if it'd be to dangerous, as he pondered, he sat down on the edge of the building, peering over the city, observing just how quiet it was, looking for any signs of life that weren't mutated monsters out to kill him.

[Inside the ruins of a restaurant]

Argos sat down on a corner of the ruined building, hoping he was safe for now. What was that thing?. he had never seen anything like it before, he wished he wasn't fighting in the city where due to there being less plants and natural things, his powers were weaker, for he would love to have immobilized that creature more securely so he could take it back to study it. but he didn't trust the strength of the few vines and roots he managed to use to wrap around the spider like monstrosity.
More importantly... what caused this..?. He looked out of a whole in the walls, probably caused by one of those monsters that now seemed to roam the city, he could see some run by every once in a while, but he'd hidden himself whenever he saw one not wanting to deal with any more monsters. He couldn't figure out what.. but maybe.. an idea came to mind and Argos sneaked out of the building, and headed to the nearest tall building he could find, quickly making his way up to the roof level via stairs, hoping he'd be able to see whatever caused it form up there.

    [In the city]

A loud growl, that was all Argos heard before he was sent flying into the wall as something hit him hard in the back, a grunt escaped his mouth as he got back up and look behind him, a strange creature pounced towards him in a blur, but he managed to dodge. A quick glance at his attacker revealed a grotesque mass of flesh, it was unlike anything he'd ever seen, or wanted to see, eight legs like a spider, but with the stance of a wolf hunting its prey, the creature was bigger then most bears, its skin was fleshy and bruised, blood oozed out of scratches in it.
However, there was no time to stare, as the creature quickly turned around and advanced towards Argos once more, almost getting him, but he managed to dodge in time. he ran towards cover, entering a nearby building, and contacted nature, sending out a beseech for help. Quickly, strong resistant vines slithered their way from underground and grabbed at the monster, wrapping it and immobilizing it. Not wanting to wait to see just how strong those vines were, Argos ran out of the building.

[ As he approached the city ]

The forces that surrounded the city were unlike anything he had ever seen before, he could feel it, it didn't feel.. normal. Argos couldn't quite explain why if someone asked him, but it just felt wrong, like the magic in that area was abnormal, and it just got worse the closer he got to the city. Said city was in a worse state then he expected, he could see why the forest would be worried, if whatever caused this spread, the forest wouldn't put up much of a fight before falling. It was awfully silent, but something seemed wrong... growls in the distance, it might have just been his imagination, but he heard... growls, the closer he approached the city.

    [ As he arrived ]

The destruction was more worrying now that he was in the city, it didn't seem like anything he'd seen before, all beings seemed to have vanished, corpses lay everywhere, and many of them were to mutilated or half eaten to be recognizable, a sense of fear crept up his spine the deeper into the city he got, his mind played tricks on him, or at least he hoped so, because he swore he could hear growls and steps, he thought he was being watched by hungry eyes. just to be safe...
He stretched out his arm towards the ground, and at the same time, reached out with his magic towards his surroundings.. sending out a call, and instantly the response came, instantly he could feel the nature around himself, every plant, every natural piece of earth, the clouds moving, the wind blowing, he had attuned himself with his surroundings, and muttered a demand. To which the surroundings responding with a loud grumble, being followed by vines twirling and raising from under the ground, twisting and hardening into a hard shield. now possessing a slight form of defense, Argos felt a tiny bit safer as he proceeded into the city, looking for life, still attuning himself to his surroundings.

(( Thank you, glad to help! .I'm going to RP Argos by himself for a bit, going to the wreckage, investigating the city and all, before i find some way to introduce him to other chars, but if someone still in the city wants to interact, feel free to ))
    [Moments before the monument incident]
The sound of rustling leaves against a soft breeze, crunching leaves under the hoofs of wild animals, songs coming from the beaks of small birds, and everything else that composed the song of nature was but background noise for Argos at the moment, for he was focusing on an experiment. Argos was in a small cottage inside the forest he inhabited, resting on his worktable was a small plant, freshly and carefully removed from the ground and moved to a pot as to still be alive. the sound of a pen scribbling on paper filled the room as Argos wrote down notes.
He was currently examining the plants essence by attuning with it, isolating himself from the nature around it, focusing purely on this one, small plant, its dark green stalk curving in spiral and sustaining a beautiful gold and white flower that emitted a intoxicating smell. he had been attuned with this plant for what seemed to be an hour, examining every detail of it, gathering information, and more importantly, trying to find out why did this particular flower have such a strange effect on animals, wildlife that gathered around it seemed to get more violent.
He had been researching this plant for many days now, and still reached no conclusion as to why it did what it did, or how, besides the fact that a few, certain insects, like bees and butterflies, seemed invulnerable to the flowers effect. and he planned on continuing researching, but his plan was disturbed by something...

    [As the incident started]
A foul feeling covered the forest suddenly, breaking his focus on the plant, it wasn't noticeable to untrained eyes at first, but Argos could feel it, something was disturbing the forest for it.. screamed. He had chosen this forest for a reason, it didn't have any history with evil magics, or any inhabitants that practiced them, making it more unlikely to be disturbed, and it had high levels of magic in the air, making it likely more resistance to disturbance, but yet, now the forest screeched for help, the help that Argos owed it after years of using it for his experiments. Almost as if it was talking to him, the violent shaking of the trees, the silenced wildlife no longer active like moments before, the forest told him, something happened, and as the wind blew open the door of his hut violently, he knew this magical forest did not want Argos to just sit there.
Annoyed to be removed from his studies, but also slightly worried to see the forest suddenly cry out for help for the first time, Argos muttered something under his breath, and walked out of the cottage. as he stepped out, vines sprouted out from the nearby trees and formed a staircase to which he could climb onto above the canopy. And when he got there, he did not like what he saw. he could see smoke rising from the south, he could vaguely make out a city in the distance, well.. what was left of a city, he called upon nature to help him see, but.. the area of the city.. seemed dead, as if some horrible plague had swept past it, leaving only carnage and destruction, making him unable to reach his senses any further close to it.
Even more annoyed now, and most certainly more worried, Argos decided he would have to investigate, well.. not much decided, as he realized the downside of living in a magical forest, it could very well tear down his house if he didn't help it, and to be fair, he owed it that much. So he quickly packed a backpack with some supplies, put on his overcoat and started making his way out of the forest, heading South.

(( Hello! I hope you are still accepting, i've made an app for a char. ))
    Name: Argos Vita
    Gender: Male
    Age: 31
Description: Argos' hair is unruly and messy, this is due to the lack of combing that the dark brown hair receives. Contrasting with the havoc of the hair his face has almost no flaws, wrinkles, spots or anything that brings attention upon itself, making him look several years younger, His eyes are colored in dark brown and normally covered by glasses.
He tends to wear a shirt of a dark color like grey or black, along with dark blue jeans. Alongside this he wears a dark green overcoat with black linings and a large golden symbol dotting the middle of said overcoat. On his wrists he wears several circlets made of different kinds of wood, varying from a simple ebony or evergreen, to a couple of magical varieties of trees, like luxwood, a white-blueish wood that emits a very faint glow.
Personality: To the eyes of those who dont know him, Argos' would fall onto the stereotype of a calm druid that is attuned with nature and wishes nothing but to help and cure nature itself. But for those who know him a bit better, things are a bit different from what it seems. Argos maintains himself occupied with examining the quirks of nature, experimenting with it, and discovering ways it can be used.
This trait, also applies to his interactions with other people, he likes to observe, to watch, to deduce and to treat people almost as if his experiments, observing their behavior and actions. due to this, he tends to be calmer, quieter and less.. outgoing then most.
Class: Druid ( He specializes not in healing nature, but controlling it, and understanding it functions so as to enable him to use it for his own favor, although to avoid that nature "fights" against his control, he always helps it when his experiments and uses of magic start to get a bit to much. as if to keep a balance between his control over nature, and what he gives back to nature)
Bio: Ironically, the boy who turned out to be cold and to enjoy experimenting on nature, was raised by those who fought with their lives to keep the balance at all stakes. his mother and father were both druids as well, they lived deep within a forest, attuned with the nature around them, every day they meandered through the forest, looking for disturbances, trying to heal the damage that man itself had already dealt to this forest's balance, for within this forest lay a depleted quartz mine, one that used to thrive with activity as the quartz was removed from the land that owned it, and as those who removed it wrecked havoc to the forest around them for the purpose of making it easier to remove.
Argos accompanied his parents as they slowly, day by day healed the forest, rarely visiting cities and non druids societies, but... he could never get as enthusiastic bout it as his parents, while they saw a goal, a glorious forest of magic and beauty pleading to be restored. Argos found that what drew his focus wasn't the glory of the forest and restoring it, what drew his interest was the smaller details, each individual type of life that inhabited there, and how they acted, how they worked... and how they could be used..modified... experimented on...
But his parents would never accept that, they would shun him and punish him if he ever dared as to mess with the balance of nature, so he pretended to follow their ways, that way he learnt, he became more powerful with time, and eventually, he decided it was time to move on, that he had already learnt what needed to be learnt. So he departed, claiming to have identified a second forest that desperately needed healing, he bid his farewells, but in truth, he moved to a forest, but one that was already thriving and healthy, one which he could experiment on...
Along with his experiments, he began spending more and more time in the cities, he discovered they provided a fascinating amount of ideas he could apply on nature itself, from the way society acts, to the machinery that powers them.
Other: Maybe keep record of the accepted characters in the main post? so as to avoid having to hunt for the app when someone forgets some detail about some character

Sleep alluded Greg the whole boat trip, leaving him with nothing more to do then stare onto the apparently endless sea in which they traveled. At the moment, Greg was trying to pass his time by counting the amount of birds that flew by, when the silence, well, not really silence since some of the other people in the boat where being annoyingly noisy while playing some card game, was broken by the sound of the captain shouting something, Greg didn't manage to properly hear what he said, but by the fact that there where people going to the luggage room, and that upon turning to his left, he could see a large landmass, he assumed the captain declared that the ship was reaching its destination.

Greg didn't need to go into the luggage room though, for he hadn't brought much with him, and what he did bring, all easily fit in a backpack that was currently resting by his feet, so he just turned towards the landmass, and just sat there, waiting.
