i gain half a level REGARDLESS of which level i am on from mining coal
however i don't gain any experience from iron
so much for everyone hard work with enchanting
i just gained 60levels in 10mins

I dont really care about the change one way or the other. i use an XP farm so the change means nothing but saved time for me.
One thing though, is with the change to 30 max level, you need 15 bookcases (i think) which leads to an odd shaped arrangement of bookcases to reach the max. Which seriously bugs me.
The good thing is there are no cave entrances around, and there are some tunnels under the village but they are properly lit up. Anyways, I have 4 iron golems patrolling the streets at night so they should be safe but it will be a disaster if zombies break into my bathrooms, most of the villagers like to go potty at night, and take all night. lol

I wanted to make urinals but I need upright slabs, full blocks just don't look good for urinals.
If you arent opposed to mods, there is a mod that adds the upright slabs.
Others have already touched on the server thing so i won't bother.
But for the mods and texture packs, the game was designed to be classic minecraft. The fact that its open for people to mod doesnt mean it is Mojangs job to make the mods compatible, that is the mod makers job.
Sand and gravel are great for crossing/filling in lava lakes. Especially if there isnt an easy spot to start building a cobble bridge.
You cant use sand/gravel like cobble. target the ceiling and place them, or if no ceiling then target the walls until you have a starting point for cobble.
1: What would the point of something you can ONLY make weapons out of, So why don't I just make Iron armor I have like 300 blocks of and save the time and hassle of mining silver.
2:.......What is the point NO ONE would use it, "hmmm do I use this crappy coal that I only have 2 of or do I use this good coal that I have 9001 of....." I'm using the coal.
It would have to be amazing to be weapon only.
Combat in this game is NOT hard. As it is, an enchanted iron sword is all you need. Forget about a diamond sword.
Before things like weapons get added we need a seriously tweaked difficulty.

Now it feels horribly forced, even the current SoI, not to mention their custom maps.
So, they get my vote.

And if youre referring to creative mode, what does it matter? if you really cared about building stuff youd be using TMI/NEI in combo with creative.

Then i found the Yogscast (early Yogscast, right at the start of SoI) and then i finally bought it.

If they do, then about 2000 red matter.
About 800 iron blocks
1200 tin blocks
2000 silver.
That's about all i can remember off the top of my head.
This world is only about a month old at max.
