    In this one, I made the settings so that way it would create the most crazy and messed up terrain possible. Really beefy computer reccomended.

    As the screenshots show, it was quite successful.

    Go here to see what most of the advanced settings do. I didn't make the page at all, just found it. If you already went and looked at it, good for you.

    This one created about two or three layers underlayers. All I did was max out anything having to do with the Y direction, and/or height.

    Use the following seed for results that I saw.

    And make sure to, if needed, fix the lapis censorship.

    Look up the channel on YouTube "TheBCBroz". I learned how to make Bukkit plugins there. It's mostly helpful if you understand the basics of Java though. If not, I know that there was a different channel that teaches Bukkit plugins and Java basics all in one, but I can't remember/find it now.

    No, it's vanilla. There is now a legitimate and vanilla way in the newest snapshot to "code" models and put them in resource packs. And the format changed since 14w06b, making it better.

    Unless you want conflicting ID's when the Plugin API arrives, this is vital to have. Someone could make an MCEdit filter to change command blocks to names, instead of item IDs. Also, incase nobody knew, but I'm sure plenty already did, you can just type the name without the "minecraft:" before it.
