Just wanted to update everyone about what is going on with our mods: http://www.radix-shock.com/home/march-04th-2016

Apologies that I haven't really been around to work on the mod, answer questions, etc.

posted a message on Spider Queen v1.1.0 - Spider queen is back, the way she should have been!

Finally, Spider Queen has been updated to version v1.1.0! I'm starting to get back into the feel of things. :)

    Changelog is below:

    - Feature: Beetles now have sounds.
    - Feature: Spider Queen can now implement its own improved spawning system, reducing the large amount of mobs that are typically spawned. It is configurable in Mods->Spider Queen->Config
    - Feature: You can now free creatures from cocoons by right-clicking with shears.
    - Feature: You now make spider sounds when walking.
    - Feature: Added factory from Darktemplar (requires expansion of core mod, may not be entirely functional just yet)
    - Feature: Friendly creepers are now tired after exploding. Recharge them with gunpowder.

    - Fix: Friendly creatures from offerings no longer spawn in walls. If a spawn point can't be found, you're given an egg instead.
    - Fix: Crashes caused by other modded items have been fixed.

An update for Spider Queen to bring it up to Minecraft 1.8.9 should be coming soon as well!

Small addition to the last announcement... *ahem*

MCA is now available for 1.8.9!

No major changes between all three available versions just yet, but you can now enjoy MCA with all of the other mods up-to-date with 1.8.9 as well. :)

MCA has been updated to 5.1.1.2 on 1.7.10 and 1.8. This is a bugfix update that fixes a couple of exceedingly annoying problems such as villagers stuck in interaction mode and the inability to cure infected children.

    Happy Holidays everyone!

Just wanted to update everyone as I've gotten a few concerned e-mails regarding my projects.

No, the mod is not dead, on a hiatus, whatever. It's still actively developed. I sadly don't have as much time as I used to have, but I am still working to get some updates out. Thanks to everyone who remains patient for updates. :)

Tired of dialogue options being completely random? Want to have some influence over how likely a villager is to like you?
    Then it's time for...
    TONE SLIDERS
Instead of just clicking "Tell a story" and hearing your friend's reaction whether you like it or not, clicking an option would reveal a slider for that option, and perhaps a checkbox.
For instance, with "Tell a Story", you'd get a slider from tongue-in-cheek to serious, and a checkbox for fictional-ness. The checkbox usually affects something in your success rate, for instance telling a fictional story gives you a flat bonus, but a real one gives you a bonus based on your level. And the slider?
Well, each villager would have a bunch of hidden numbers that represent things like, for instance, whether they like their stories humorous or solemn. Your goal, naturally, is to figure out what they like, based on their reactions--and, because real conversation would be impossible to recreate, there's also a bit of random error thrown in, because let's face it most of us suck at storytelling.

With this mechanic added to this mod, you could take the mod beyond merely a dating sim mechanic and a few villagers that can defend themselves. No, this would bring you into the realm of innovation in game design. It's hilarious how little effort goes into dating sims, after all--nobody ever thinks to do anything but give you a couple dialogue options. Think how easy it would be to add this one little tweak to it. Heck, the hardest part would be creating the GUI!

    That.
    Is.
    Amazing.

Hrm, old version never cared. Easiest way to change the names file. Guess I'll have to re-zip it after that from now on, but that did seem to be the problem. Thanks.

Rather, you've zipped up the edited archive incorrectly. Its file structure must remain exactly the same. If possible, edit the files directly from the archive and avoid unzipping it, since it seems lots of people have issues zipping it back correctly.

Make sure it's a .jar file as well, not a .zip file.
