    I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply anything. I just thought maybe I missed when you got back.

    I don't use forge. I have a very vanilla game and would happy to just start with base class editing. If I put it up as a mod that people want, I'll worry about forge/etc later.

    Hey there MamiyaOtaru.. any update what I asked you about last month? The no black plane below y 64 thing? You said you'd get back to me in September, I don't see anything about it.

    I am quite glad to take up this as a future mod that I would update. I've done no MC modding but I'm an experienced C++/C# programmer and sure I could manage to figure out how to change this in java and update it. But you've already done and it can probably tell me how it works, and then from there I can maintain it.

    I've been waiting to hear from you to start a youtube series on a Skyblock style of map, specifically because I want to have blue plane background at all heights. I find the black plane below y 64 very distracting and annoying. I really want to make this a permanent mod that I use in all future versions.

    I am glad to take over maintaining such a mod. I just want to know how you did it. Can you help me out please? You said in one thread it was just changing a variable in there somewhere.

    Never occurred to me someone would want the map off by default, so it may be that I don't bother saving that setting. I can change that, but it will have to wait until I get home from this vacation.

    Hi OP. Some time ago, I discovered a mod you had made.. in another thread, it was something that changed the game so that when you moved below Y 64 the background sky of the world didn't go from blue, to black, for the underground.

    I hoped maybe you have continued to maintain that mod, or would consider redoing it for me for 1.6.2. Or telling me how you did it somehow, so I could perhaps continue / maintain that mod for future.

    I'm an up and coming youtuber these days, and I plan to start Minecraft series for some Skyblock style maps, such as Stratosphere Survival and Sky Realms. But it always annoys me when I travel down, under the islands, and the whole sky goes black.

    Your no void fog and dimming are also invaluable. But I really wish I could have a blue sky all the way down to the bottom. Can you help me out please?

    I was shown by an OP how to move my island. I had a location that was griefer central.. routinely getting people bridging through and over my island and others and raping and pillaging it all.

    The OP showed me that when you join someone else's island, it resets your own home/spawn island position. So instead of doing /newisland replace, which recreates in the same place over and over.. you can just do /newisland, and end up in an entirely new location.

    So just join someone else's island briefly, and then go back to spawn and start fresh with a new island. Worked for me anyhow.

    The Nether Bug is a well known Bug for Minecraft 1.3.2. Minecraft should fix it soon. Regarding the Server, try asking an Operator in the Server to help you out.

    I was able to get help on skyblock.net from a very helpful mod named Mage49. He helped me get moved to a better area.

    edit2: I was able to solve the single player bug/problem. Turns out it was the "fall fix" mod from the first page. I hadn't actually done a proper, vanilla, modless test. It's that mod which causes my disconnection error. Since I'm playing the HC version, I see no need to keep that mod anyhow. But I thought I should mention it just in case anyone else has the problem.

    I'm having a couple of issues, hoping I can get help. I tried searching the thread pretty thoroughly but don't see anything about this error I'm getting.

    I am playing SkyBlock version 2.1 (Minecraft 1.3.2). I've played both normal and Hardcore version, same problem. When I go to the nether, it's all fine. I get to the glowstone skyblock and everything is there as it should be ok. But when I go back through the portal to return home, I get some kind of internal java error message and forced to click a disconnect button. When I re-load the game again, I am falling into the void.

    I'm using no mods. Not sure why this happens. Again, I've had this happen with both normal and HC versions. I can never return safely from the nether.

    I've tried the "fall fix" mod listed in the OP. It didn't make any difference to this (but does help with proper respawn on death on the non-hardcore map).


    Also, I have a problem on skyblock.net.

    I was griefed pretty bad. Someone bridged through my island and raped and pillaged.

    I was fine with starting over, the problem is any time you do /newisland replace, you always end up in the same place in the world. I've had people bridge over my island before. I wondered if there was any way to MOVE your island when you replace it. I always end up at the same coordinates. And I can see partial bridges directly north and south of me. I don't like that neighborhood. I really would like to move if possible.

    I heard that Noobcrew did release a Version 3.0 of the Map, buried pages behind. It appears that a problem with the File is keeping him from releasing it Officially.


    Why thank you. I will keep an eye on this topic then, I'm interested to see if this can continue to evolve and grow with new game changes. Great map.

    the weird thing is, skeletons have always looked like they are smiling or something. So having them on a wall like that isn't so much intimidating or scary as much as it is surreal and creepy. ;)

    Kind of expect them to start singing a song or something as you walk by.

    Whatever happened to a 3.0 version of this map? Forgive me for not having followed closely, and not wanting to trudge though hundreds of pages to find an answer. I'm just curious if it was abandoned. It's not a complaint or attack. Just seeking information.

    I'm sorry it doesn't work for you, but it does work. I tried it because I saw others who did it successfully.

    I blanked out my .minecraft install before updating.. keeping just savegames and the like. Wipe the bin folder for sure.

    Downloaded 1.3.1 in full.

    Then in the .minecraft/mods folder I created a 1.3.1 folder. So .minecraft/mods/1.3.1/

    (this is in your %appdata% system folders. If you are not sure where that is, click start, and in the RUN box type %appdata% and hit enter, and it will open an explorer window to that folder. The .minecraft folder is in there)

    In that folder (.minecraft/mods/1.3.1/) I put the [1.3.1]ReiMinimap_v3.2_05.zip file.

    Then I ran MCPatcher, and turned only only the mods I wanted. Then click the plus sign (+) button at the bottom of the window, just above the "patch" button.

    It should auto search to the .minecraft/mods/1.3.1 folder, and you should see the minimap .zip file there. Select it.

    Then I clicked the "patch" button on the patcher. Then I ran the game, and it's working 100%. I've played a few hours already of 1.3.1 with the minimap.

    It's working fine for myself and others. I'm not sure what you are doing wrong. I hope this helps.

    The drag-into-the-jar method requires modloader. I don't believe modloader has been updated to 1.3.1 yet.

    As I said above, MCPatcher will install the mod successfully.
