take a break. simple as that. I took a long break and survival feels fresh again. you can also try challenges like no armor, no enchantments, no health regeneration, no potions. it gets very repetitive after you get used to it though.
I agree, I do this myself quite often. Whenever I get bored I simply take a break, and setting challenges can make it take on a whole new level of difficulty. I also download mods quite often to help spice up my world.

Your application as a whole was very good, however your magic half was lacking with somewhat basic explanations. I would suggest looking over magic lore and rules one more time before server release just be sure you fully understand them. However you still passed, congratulations!

We will also be updating the magic rules to give players a better idea as to what each magical artifact is capable of based on power. As for your character having magic potential we will allow it, but you just barley made it, your reasoning was average and your explanations were very similar to our own, but it is acceptable. However, remember that abusing such things can result in punishment if you're not careful, so keep that in mind.

We appreciate your attempt, but there are a few things that need to be corrected. We will give you a rundown as to what you need to change and you will be allowed two more attempts to apply.
First off, we made some mistakes. We would like some examples of previous RP experience. The form has been changed for future applicants. This does not affect your acceptance because we should have been clearer.
Furthermore, we need to make sure you understand that you will not be starting with the armor you described, you can however obtain it ICly by having someone forge it for you or by obtaining it from another source. (Spiked armor is a craftable item in the game, however, wearing it will ICly and mechanically slow you down due to the weight of the spikes and the armor).
You also should rethink your replies in the magic section of the app Your explanation for what you could do with the fire trinket was not quite acceptable. Summoning walls of fire and coating your swords with flames would be a little much for such a weak trinket.
Another minor problem is that thief/assassin is not really an occupation, while being a jobless thief is more than acceptable an assassin is stretching it thin, especially for someone starting off. We are not saying you cannot be an assassin ICly, it's just that starting off as one is a little too OP, and to top it off, you really made no attempt to expand the assassin role in your backstory. You focused more on the thief part and the assassin bit does not come up again until you provide it as one of your reasons for having magic. However if you wish to consider your character an assassin of sorts that is fine, but do not expect to start off at a skill level equal to someone who has spent a lot of time training and participating in events. Only those who put forward the effort in game to make their character skilled will be the ones to have such skills. No one will be starting off OP in anyway, everything is earned ICly!
The app as a whole needs a little cleaning up as well, there are multiple grammatical errors as well as poor structure making it hard to read in some areas.

He has deep brown eyes and a very slight accent that sounds almost Russian, he is normally cleanly shaven but has been known to grow out his beard at times. He stands at about 5'11 with a fairly built body type. He has an air of confidence about himself, and walks with a commanding stride of authority, he is normally seen wearing an old faded pair of dark green military cargo pants and a tight black T-shirt with a brown leather harness and belt covering his upper body and waist. He has various gear strapped to his belt and harness, consisting of a walkie-talkie, flashlight, his combat knife, his gun holster, and a few leather satchels along the back of his belt

If so, what kind: Aaron owns a small shack on the upper deck decorated with american flags and other small things on the outside, the interior consists of only two rooms, that being his bedroom /w closet and the main room. He has a tendency to collect junk and clutter can be seen about his home consisting of tools, books, machine parts, maps, weapon schematics, and other various items. His bedroom is relatively simple, consisting of a single bed and a desk, both surrounded with more cutter. In his closet is his fathers old SVD sniper rifle, his trusty P226, and his fathers broken C96 he has been tinkering with along with his satchel. The closet also contains a few sets of clothing, as well as his gun cleaning kit, his fathers dog tags, an old Gaye Marvin record, and a bit of ammo in a small safe. The main room is a kitchen living area combo, there are multiple shelves in the room filled with junk, there is a small table and chair in the kitchen area for eating and a few places for sitting in the living area as well as an old TV set. Out back there is even more junk piled about, tons of scrap metal and old machine parts lay around the house, his workbench sits against the back wall with a slight overhang coming off the house to protect it.
Background Story (At least two quality paragraphs):
Aaron's father was one of the few people to survive the disaster that struck the world back in 2020, his name was Adam Mason, a mechanic from Russia, and one of the crew serving on the USS Defiance when they were forced out of dry dock by the flooding ocean. Adam moved to America from Russia when he was in his early twenties looking for a better life, he knew little English at the time and was having problems finding a job, however because of the destabilization going on in the east the military was looking for recruits more than ever, so that's what he went for. Adam joined up with the military, eventually becoming a deck hand on the USS Defiance. Sadly, he did not spend much time serving on board before the ship was called into dry dock, but things were only just beginning for Adam. Soon the world virtually came to an end when the oceans began to unexpectedly rise, forcing them to leave dry dock with what little possessions they had and head out to sea.
He always talked about how hard it was back then, trying to live on the boat with no help from the outside. The first year was the hardest, not knowing if they would ever find help or see land again. Many people died, but Adam pushed on to survive in hopes of seeing the world return to the way it was before. Adams persistence to live finally paid off when the ship came into contact with Greenland. It was not long before he once again saw land on the horizon for the first time in over a year. When they docked Adam was more than happy to work with the people of the colony in return for supplies, he found the deal to be more than fair indeed and spent many years working with the crew of the USS Defiance establishing contact with other colonies and working to rebuild civilization.
So, let's skip ahead a bit to the year 2046, Adam was in his early forties now and had taken a wife, her name was Alisa Lockheart. They were married and lived on the USS Defiance together for 5 years before Aaron was born. I'm sorry to say however, this story does not have a happy ending. When Aaron was born, his mother, Alisa died in childbirth. This affected his father greatly, but for the sake of Aaron he forged on and raised him to the best of his abilities. Aaron spent most of his early childhood being taught by his father, he showed him the ins and outs of a gun, how to take one apart and put it back together. He taught him how to read and write, and how to put an engine together and shoot a gun. When he was older his father taught him how to fight with his knife and fists. Things could get rough at times on the boat, especially when raiders came around, so Adam did all he could to teach Aaron how to defend himself.
On Aaron's 20th birthday his father Adam died. Cancer could be rough, especially in those times. For the last 9 years Aaron has worked as a guard and mechanic on the USS Defiance, doing his bet to make a living, and constantly collecting various odds and ends. He now spends his off time tinkering with his guns and machines and contemplating what he should do with his life now, feeling a need to do something a bit more challenging than being a simple guard or mechanic, a desire for adventure.
Rp Scenario (Two paragraphs, any scenario you'd like)
Aaron walks into the tavern, sitting down at the bar and waving the barkeep over, asking for his usual, telling him to put it on his tab, again. He sits and waits, drumming his fingers on the table with his left and and fiddling with his gun holster with the right. As he waited for his drink he contemplated some new designs he had been thinking of for one of his various machines. However his thoughts were interrupted when the bartender slammed a pint of bear down on the table in front of Aaron, waking him from his daydream.
Aaron takes the pint, bringing it up to his lips immediately, taking a long swig from the cup. He sits mug back down and looks to the bartender. "So, have you seen any new faces around?" he asked. The bartender shakes his head and begins to wipe down a glass with a rather dirty looking rag. Aaron sighs and takes another long swing from his mug, as he does so another patron walks by Aaron, bumping into him, causing his drink to spill onto both of them.
The drunkard turns to Aaron, his speech slurred, "Why, don cha` watch what yer doin there mate! Ya dun gone and got me favorite shirt wet, yer gonna pay for tha!" Aaron, not being one to take such things kindly turned in his seat, standing up and knocking the stool over, the drunkard stumbling backwards away from Aaron as he did so. The drunk moved to shove Aaron only to be swatted aside and shoved back himself by his much more sober opponent. The drunk fumbled backwards into a table, knocking it over and having its contents spilled over him. Aaron laughed loudly as the man struggled to his feet, but the drunkard was not finished yet. He grabbed a bottle from the nearest table and raised it over his head posed to charge Aaron. However before the man even took a step in Aaron's direction the bottle exploded into shards as the barkeep blew the thing away with a shotgun he had produced from behind the counter. Aaron turned to the bartender as the man shouted in his ear, "You two take this squabble outside ya hear!" Aaron sighed and turned back around just in time to see the drunk fleeing out the front door rather quickly, obviously afraid for his life now that a gun had become involved.

Why do you want to join us?: Minecraft RP servers are few and far between today. I'm just looking for some good RP like I used to find on a couple older RP servers that closed down. I have tried multiple minecraft RP servers in the last year but all ultimately failed and i'm just hopping this one actually takes off.

Appearance: A dirty and battered young man with messy brown hair and green eyes with a black cloak covering most of his body. Though he looks like he has been through hell he still manages to keep a somewhat hopeful gleam in his eye. (Custom skin still being made)(I provided a persona below to represent my character [created with RPG maker])
Backstory (Atleast 2 good paragraphs!): (Please note this back-story does not include events before his awakening because it is still being written and will not be done until a later date, it simply describes what happened when he awoke. As for the reason why he was put into the cryo stasis. He had become involved with the wrong kind of people to say the least and to avoid his fast approaching demise he signed up to be a cryo stasis subject to hide away until the whole ordeal blew over, but when the city collapsed after it lost it's connection with the rest of the universe he was left in his cryo far beyond the date he was scheduled to be released and was not awoken until his cryo's backup power finally failed and it was forced to eject him causing him to suffer some side effects such as memory loss)
Michael gasps as fresh air enters his lungs for the first time in many years. His eyes shot open as he leaped upright in his open cryo pod. The room was totally dark and he couldn't see a thing. He attempted to lift his arm only to find the thing stiff as a board. Michael began to panic as he had no idea what was going on. He couldn't remember a single thing accept his name. He had no idea where he was nor what was going on, but soon his eyes began to adjust to the low light and he looked down at the pod he sat in. His mind seemed to understand what it was looking at the word cryo stasis came to mind. For a moment he thought he could remember something, a vague image in the back of his mind, but it was gone an instant later before he could take hold of it.
He was beginning to regain movement in his arms and legs so he attempted to climb over the edge of the cell only to find out he overestimated his ability to move and landed face first on the metal floor. A low moan escaped his lips as he slid the rest of the way out of the cryo pod and onto the cold floor. He managed to turn himself over to lean against the pod. The room was still dark but in the distance he thought he could see light shining out from under what he hoped to be a door. He then looked down at himself feeling the cold floor against his skin he noticed he was totally naked accept for some boxers and his white undershirt.
He gave himself another moment before finally attempting to stand once again, this time with a little more luck. He managed to get to his feet, but only got three steps in before falling on his face again, another moan escaping his lips. He got off his ass again, this time he managed to keep himself balanced. One slow careful step at a time he made his way towards the light until he finally reached the door, or at least what he thought was a door. He began to pat the wall around him feeling for a handle or something, he felt some kind of lever on the door. He leaned down and squinted at the lettering above the thing. He could hardly see but after a moment he was able to make out the words as emergency release. Without another thought he pulled the release lever down and towards him opening the door.
He was blinded by the sudden flood of light from the room, but his eyes adjusted and he was finally able to open them fully again. He stepped through the doorway into a large room full of lockers. The power was off but light was coming through a rather large hole in the ceiling along with vines and other plant life. He shuffled forward to the nearest locker, trying the handle. The thing was locked but he noticed that some of the lockers near the collapsed ceiling were knocked open. Michael turned and made his way over the the closet one and leaned down to look inside of it. The contents consisted of nothing but clothing items, but it was better than nothing. Thankfully some of it was his size, and he was able to find himself some pants and boots. He moved over to the next locker, this one being partly crushed under rubble. Inside all that seemed to survive was a single black cloak. So he took the thing out and draped it over his shoulders before finally turning to face the opposite side of the room. He could see a door in the distance, but it was partly blocked by more displaced lockers. With no other way out he turned and leaped up grabbing hold of the vines dangling from the open hole and began to climb. His stiff limbs were better but he still had a hard time actually making it to the top. Once he was on his feet again he stood and made a complete 360 examining his surroundings. Nothing but ruins, partly crushed buildings could be seen all around and abandoned vehicles littered the streets. Plant life seemed to have retaken most of the city, buildings were covered in vines and the streets were filled with grass and trees coming through the pavement of the roads. All he could think was, "What the hell did I wake up to."

A small riot breaks out in Barkamsted between Humans and Pact races. They're quickly gaining the attention of the guards as the situation escalates. Your character is somehow swept up into the crowd as the situation grows more dangerous, what do they do?
For whatever reason, your character finds themselves in an ancient tomb, the walls thick with brambles and foliage. From up ahead, you spy what appears to be a shambling mound of something. It pauses, quivers and moans. What do they do?

Thanks for that "constructive" comment friend! I'm sure sparko also enjoyed your positive input on the bump he made. In fact, I bet if you had asked him first he would have told you staff gave him the okay to bump this page every so often! So, please, if you have anything else to tell me that is somewhat insulting or provides no useful information whatsoever, go post it somewhere else, because I did not post my app to have random people who are not even staff on this server tell me some aspects of it are overused! I am more than aware of how common the "alcoholic" trait is, but that is simply how I made my character! Thanks again!
Also on a side note, after reading through some of the other apps, I have noticed a few other Russian based characters, oh well, the more the merrier I guess.

Defining characteristics and physical appearance: Aaron has a small scar along his left cheek and thick brown hair of a slightly longer than average length covering his head. He has deep brown eyes and a very slight accent that sounds almost Russian, he is normally cleanly shaven but has been known to grow out his beard at times. He stands at about 5'11 with a fairly built body type. He has an air of confidence about himself, and walks with a commanding stride of authority, he is normally seen wearing an old faded pair of dark green military cargo pants and a tight black T-shirt with a brown leather harness and belt covering his upper body and waist. He has various gear strapped to his belt and harness, consisting of a walkie-talkie, flashlight, his combat knife, his gun holster, and a few leather satchels along the back of his belt

Does your character own property on the ship? If so, what kind: Aaron owns a small shack on the upper deck decorated with american flags and other small things on the outside, the interior consists of only two rooms, that being his bedroom /w closet and the main room. He has a tendency to collect junk and clutter can be seen about his home consisting of tools, books, machine parts, maps, weapon schematics, and other various items. His bedroom is relatively simple, consisting of a single bed and a desk, both surrounded with more cutter. In his closet is his fathers old SVD sniper rifle, his trusty P226, and his fathers broken C96 he has been tinkering with along with his satchel. The closet also contains a few sets of clothing, as well as his gun cleaning kit, his fathers dog tags, an old Gaye Marvin record, and a bit of ammo in a small safe. The main room is a kitchen living area combo, there are multiple shelves in the room filled with junk, there is a small table and chair in the kitchen area for eating and a few places for sitting in the living area as well as an old TV set. Out back there is even more junk piled about, tons of scrap metal and old machine parts lay around the house, his workbench sits against the back wall with a slight overhang coming off the house to protect it.
Background Story (At least two quality paragraphs):
Aaron's father was one of the few people to survive the disaster that struck the world back in 2020, his name was Adam Mason, a mechanic from Russia, and one of the crew serving on the USS Defiance when they were forced out of dry dock by the flooding ocean. Adam moved to America from Russia when he was in his early twenties looking for a better life, he knew little English at the time and was having problems finding a job, however because of the destabilization going on in the east the military was looking for recruits more than ever, so that's what he went for. Adam joined up with the military, eventually becoming a deck hand on the USS Defiance. Sadly, he did not spend much time serving on board before the ship was called into dry dock, but things were only just beginning for Adam. Soon the world virtually came to an end when the oceans began to unexpectedly rise, forcing them to leave dry dock with what little possessions they had and head out to sea.
He always talked about how hard it was back then, trying to live on the boat with no help from the outside. The first year was the hardest, not knowing if they would ever find help or see land again. Many people died, but Adam pushed on to survive in hopes of seeing the world return to the way it was before. Adams persistence to live finally paid off when the ship came into contact with Greenland. It was not long before he once again saw land on the horizon for the first time in over a year. When they docked Adam was more than happy to work with the people of the colony in return for supplies, he found the deal to be more than fair indeed and spent many years working with the crew of the USS Defiance establishing contact with other colonies and working to rebuild civilization.
So, let's skip ahead a bit to the year 2046, Adam was in his early forties now and had taken a wife, her name was Alisa Lockheart. They were married and lived on the USS Defiance together for 5 years before Aaron was born. I'm sorry to say however, this story does not have a happy ending. When Aaron was born, his mother, Alisa died in childbirth. This affected his father greatly, but for the sake of Aaron he forged on and raised him to the best of his abilities. Aaron spent most of his early childhood being taught by his father, he showed him the ins and outs of a gun, how to take one apart and put it back together. He taught him how to read and write, and how to put an engine together and shoot a gun. When he was older his father taught him how to fight with his knife and fists. Things could get rough at times on the boat, especially when raiders came around, so Adam did all he could to teach Aaron how to defend himself.
On Aaron's 20th birthday his father Adam died. Cancer could be rough, especially in those times. For the last 9 years Aaron has worked as a guard and mechanic on the USS Defiance, doing his bet to make a living, and constantly collecting various odds and ends. He now spends his off time tinkering with his guns and machines and contemplating what he should do with his life now, feeling a need to do something a bit more challenging than being a simple guard or mechanic, a desire for adventure.
Rp Scenario (Two paragraphs, any scenario you'd like)
Aaron walks into the tavern, sitting down at the bar and waving the barkeep over, asking for his usual, telling him to put it on his tab, again. He sits and waits, drumming his fingers on the table with his left and and fiddling with his gun holster with the right. As he waited for his drink he contemplated some new designs he had been thinking of for one of his various machines. However his thoughts were interrupted when the bartender slammed a pint of bear down on the table in front of Aaron, waking him from his daydream.
Aaron takes the pint, bringing it up to his lips immediately, taking a long swig from the cup. He sits mug back down and looks to the bartender. "So, have you seen any new faces around?" he asked. The bartender shakes his head and begins to wipe down a glass with a rather dirty looking rag. Aaron sighs and takes another long swing from his mug, as he does so another patron walks by Aaron, bumping into him, causing his drink to spill onto both of them.
The drunkard turns to Aaron, his speech slurred, "Why, don cha` watch what yer doin there mate! Ya dun gone and got me favorite shirt wet, yer gonna pay for tha!" Aaron, not being one to take such things kindly turned in his seat, standing up and knocking the stool over, the drunkard stumbling backwards away from Aaron as he did so. The drunk moved to shove Aaron only to be swatted aside and shoved back himself by his much more sober opponent. The drunk fumbled backwards into a table, knocking it over and having its contents spilled over him. Aaron laughed loudly as the man struggled to his feet, but the drunkard was not finished yet. He grabbed a bottle from the nearest table and raised it over his head posed to charge Aaron. However before the man even took a step in Aaron's direction the bottle exploded into shards as the barkeep blew the thing away with a shotgun he had produced from behind the counter. Aaron turned to the bartender as the man shouted in his ear, "You two take this squabble outside ya hear!" Aaron sighed and turned back around just in time to see the drunk fleeing out the front door rather quickly, obviously afraid for his life now that a gun had become involved.

Why do you want to join us?: Minecraft RP servers are few and far between today. I'm just looking for some good RP like I used to find on a couple older RP servers that closed down. I have tried multiple minecraft RP servers in the last year but all ultimately failed and i'm just hopping this one actually takes off.

Appearance: A dirty and battered young man with messy brown hair and green eyes with a black cloak covering most of his body. Though he looks like he has been through hell he still manages to keep a somewhat hopeful gleam in his eye. (Custom skin still being made)(I provided a persona below to represent my character [created with RPG maker])
Backstory (Atleast 2 good paragraphs!): (Please note this back-story does not include events before his awakening because it is still being written and will not be done until a later date, it simply describes what happened when he awoke. As for the reason why he was put into the cryo stasis. He had become involved with the wrong kind of people to say the least and to avoid his fast approaching demise he signed up to be a cryo stasis subject to hide away until the whole ordeal blew over, but when the city collapsed after it lost it's connection with the rest of the universe he was left in his cryo far beyond the date he was scheduled to be released and was not awoken until his cryo's backup power finally failed and it was forced to eject him causing him to suffer some side effects such as memory loss)
Michael gasps as fresh air enters his lungs for the first time in many years. His eyes shot open as he leaped upright in his open cryo pod. The room was totally dark and he couldn't see a thing. He attempted to lift his arm only to find the thing stiff as a board. Michael began to panic as he had no idea what was going on. He couldn't remember a single thing accept his name. He had no idea where he was nor what was going on, but soon his eyes began to adjust to the low light and he looked down at the pod he sat in. His mind seemed to understand what it was looking at the word cryo stasis came to mind. For a moment he thought he could remember something, a vague image in the back of his mind, but it was gone an instant later before he could take hold of it.
He was beginning to regain movement in his arms and legs so he attempted to climb over the edge of the cell only to find out he overestimated his ability to move and landed face first on the metal floor. A low moan escaped his lips as he slid the rest of the way out of the cryo pod and onto the cold floor. He managed to turn himself over to lean against the pod. The room was still dark but in the distance he thought he could see light shining out from under what he hoped to be a door. He then looked down at himself feeling the cold floor against his skin he noticed he was totally naked accept for some boxers and his white undershirt.
He gave himself another moment before finally attempting to stand once again, this time with a little more luck. He managed to get to his feet, but only got three steps in before falling on his face again, another moan escaping his lips. He got off his ass again, this time he managed to keep himself balanced. One slow careful step at a time he made his way towards the light until he finally reached the door, or at least what he thought was a door. He began to pat the wall around him feeling for a handle or something, he felt some kind of lever on the door. He leaned down and squinted at the lettering above the thing. He could hardly see but after a moment he was able to make out the words as emergency release. Without another thought he pulled the release lever down and towards him opening the door.
He was blinded by the sudden flood of light from the room, but his eyes adjusted and he was finally able to open them fully again. He stepped through the doorway into a large room full of lockers. The power was off but light was coming through a rather large hole in the ceiling along with vines and other plant life. He shuffled forward to the nearest locker, trying the handle. The thing was locked but he noticed that some of the lockers near the collapsed ceiling were knocked open. Michael turned and made his way over the the closet one and leaned down to look inside of it. The contents consisted of nothing but clothing items, but it was better than nothing. Thankfully some of it was his size, and he was able to find himself some pants and boots. He moved over to the next locker, this one being partly crushed under rubble. Inside all that seemed to survive was a single black cloak. So he took the thing out and draped it over his shoulders before finally turning to face the opposite side of the room. He could see a door in the distance, but it was partly blocked by more displaced lockers. With no other way out he turned and leaped up grabbing hold of the vines dangling from the open hole and began to climb. His stiff limbs were better but he still had a hard time actually making it to the top. Once he was on his feet again he stood and made a complete 360 examining his surroundings. Nothing but ruins, partly crushed buildings could be seen all around and abandoned vehicles littered the streets. Plant life seemed to have retaken most of the city, buildings were covered in vines and the streets were filled with grass and trees coming through the pavement of the roads. All he could think was, "What the hell did I wake up to."
