You could do that, or add repeaters going directly into the trap doors, with the line behind them. Then, when the signal dies, add your repeater and the last few can just be powered by the dust. Then, they will all open and close at once.

Never thought of that; good idea.

Yes, Redstone will only power for 15 blocks. You can add repeaters, or you can make your wiring more compact. How long is the bridge? If it's over 15 then you will definitely need repeaters. However, 1 repeater will add 1 tick of delay. You will notice that whatever is beyond the repeaters will lag a little bit behind. However, you can be creative with this and add more repeaters so that your bridge doesn't come up all at once but instead it takes a second for each trap door to activate.

posted a message on why all the repeat posts?
People don't know how to use the search bar... Every single day there's a new thread either asking when the 1.8.2 update is coming, what's in the 1.8.2 update, or telling everyone what's in the 1.8.2 update... It annoys everyone and it won't go away.

posted a message on good floor and roof examples
Anything with Glowstone mixed in is really good for 2 story buildings. The Glowstone will provide light for the first floor as well as the second floor to keep monsters from spawning in your house while you're out.

Edit: Not sure if I was clear enough: by putting Glowstone in the ceiling of the first floor, you're also putting it in the floor of the second floor which lights them both up. The same could be done with the ceiling of the 3rd floor and the floor of the 4th floor... I feel like I just said "floor" a lot...

posted a message on When will MCX360E catch up with MCPC?
I'm thankful that we're as close to PC as we are... The last game I played where Xbox was behind PC, the Xbox game came out 3 months after the PC version but at the end of the run it was over 3 years behind.

However, the Xbox won't catch up to the PC. If you think about it, the PC is going to keep getting updates and we're probably going to get them after the PC has had them for a while. If we catch up to where they are now, they'll get a new update and be ahead of us. See what I mean? It's an cycle that only ends when either the PC or the Xbox stop getting new content.

I'll say this though, 4J is doing an amazing job, and I wouldn't be surprised if we got the PC updates just a few weeks after they get them. For that I am incredibly grateful and I hope a lot of people here are too.

What happened to it? Rumor has it that they're making it and that everyone needs to be patient... Not sure how often I can trust rumors on this forum though...

Yeah, I don't have an account there but I used to, though I never went on it, and I thought it would be just ridiculous to upload a screenshot for all of your IRL friends to see... OMG guys look what I made in a video game and they're all like get a life loser.

If I had an account, I would make a separate one for Minecraft screenshots

Thanks! I guess I'll need to get a capture card then.

I wouldn't recommend getting a capture card just to take screenshots. If you're going to make videos then the thing is a godsend, but if you want it just to take a few screenshots here and there, I think it's a waste of $200. Here's a couple links if you're really looking at them though:

You can pause the game and hit Y to send the picture to your Facebook, or if you're like me and you don't have Facebook, you can get a capture card and pull it up on your computer (your computer will be displaying the same thing as the Xbox) then hit Print Screen and save the image in Paint or something.

Easiest way is to just put it on Facebook. From there you can download it and reupload it somewhere like Photobucket.

I didn't think I would like it, but I saw that there was a pilot skin and bought it. I'm a pilot, so a pilot skin is very fitting.

posted a message on Mob grinder on/off switch?
I've tried this on PC... The first thing that comes to mind is Redstone Lamps on the ceiling that are all activated with an on/off switch at the bottom. That's got to be the simplest method.

However this isn't PC... The next thing that comes to mind is glowstone with sticky pisons. Put a glowstone block one block above the ceiling, then have a sticky piston holding whatever block you made the trap out of in front of the glowstone, then when you hit the switch the piston pulls the block out of the way exposing the glowstone preventing more things from spawning...

The next thing that comes to mind is redstone torches lining the walls... You could have redstone coming into these blocks, which would power them and turn off the torches when the switch is on. Then turn the switch off and the torches come back on preventing more spawning. I'll get some pictures in a minute.

    Edit: Here are the pictures:

You have to keep the piston covered otherwise more light will get in though

Oh and I just thought of something. The glowstone will keep monsters from spawning on top of it at night as well, making it serve two purposes.

    Quote from XanderxDrath

let me tell u what happens when xbox 720, we will sell our 360s with the cds cuz cds wont work, downloaded contents? we will download our profile and with that we can download games we had. maybe there will be a very large update for minecraft with that, like infinite world.

Lmao you really think that will work? With over 8 million Xboxs, if they all go up for sale at the same time you're not going to get **** for them. Nobody will want the old 360s when the new ones come out. If the discs won't work anymore, nobody will want the discs either. It's really basic supply and demand. When there's a huge supply, and a very small demand, prices drop WAY ****in down.
