Alright so this is the most dumb thing that i have seen with minecraft.

Let's just say that my TPS on server without players was about 7-8 now i moved the server from 1.14.4 to 1.14.2 and my TPS is at 20 with 2 players in..

So my computer doesn't have any problem running the server, no problem at all, and the mobs aren't a problem either beucase i have used a plugin in the past for the same server in order to get rid of lag and i did clear a lot of entities, after that it was fine for some time and then it started to lag a LOT more than before, i have tried the same trick but nothing, it was the same.

And here i am now, still can't understand the problem.

    I have got a ryzen 5 2400G with 16GB of ram and a radeon rx 470 8GB with a 1TB HDD.

But i told you i had no problem before with it, it just happend all of a sudden,

And yes i do play minecraft and host the server on the same PC.

But even if i don't have the game open and i only have the server with no one on it, it still says "server overloaded"

posted a message on Server low TPS and massive lag

Ok so me and my friends have been playing on a server that i host (3 players with me) and all of a sudden the world started lagging, like it was fine and then i just alt tab to look at something for 2 minutes and after that there's this massive lag that i can't get rid of.

I've tried to get rid of it for at least 2 weeks and nothing.

I did a "debug start" and "debug stop" in console and this is what it said:

    [19:49:25] [Server thread/WARN]: Something's taking too long! 'root.tick.levels.world minecraft:overworld.tick.entities.regular' took aprox 120.462791 ms
    [19:49:25] [Server thread/WARN]: Something's taking too long! 'root.tick.levels.world minecraft:overworld.tick.entities' took aprox 122.001351 ms
    [19:49:25] [Server thread/WARN]: Something's taking too long! 'root.tick.levels.world minecraft:overworld.tick' took aprox 125.162666 ms
    [19:49:25] [Server thread/WARN]: Something's taking too long! 'root.tick.levels.world minecraft:overworld' took aprox 125.18912 ms
    [19:49:25] [Server thread/WARN]: Something's taking too long! 'root.tick.levels' took aprox 133.098382 ms
    [19:49:25] [Server thread/WARN]: Something's taking too long! 'root.tick' took aprox 133.516231 ms
[19:49:25] [Server thread/WARN]: Something's taking too long! 'root' took aprox 133.632 ms

And in the console it just always says:

[19:49:54] [Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 38327ms or 766 ticks behind
[19:51:01] [Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 36458ms or 729 ticks behind

[19:54:31] [Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 40044ms or 800 ticks behind
[19:55:39] [Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 38650ms or 773 ticks behind

posted a message on Minecraft server low TPS and is ___ ticks behind

As the title says i can't add more ram to my minecraft server, i am hosting it with my computer and i am only playing with my friends but we just got to a point where it is a lot of lag and in console it's constantly saying "Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded?".

So i tried giving it 4gb of ram but it doesn't seem to work and i used almost any command that for the run.bat that i could find on the internet.

I tried again now with a command that i didn't use before and it's the same, right now i've got 2 .bat files one of them is

    "@echo off
    java -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M -jar server4.jar nogui
    PAUSE"

and the other one that i found today is

    "java -Xmx3G -jar server4.jar
    PAUSE"

EDIT: seems like it is using the ram but the tps is very low, between 7 and 9

posted a message on Problems with squid farm.

I did manage to make it work but i'm not sure how to make the squids come to me so i can kill them since i learned that pushing them with water is not working, so i've tried on a cretive world with powered rails but it's way too expensive for me right now and inefficient, so if i could get some ideas on how to push them to me and kill them or a way to collect the ink sacks automatically would be great.

    Thank you in advance.

posted a message on Problems with squid farm.

So i've watched a video from xisuma, like 3 or 4 episodes after the squid farm and he said the reason is because the water has a block directly above it and that's why they don't spawn.

I didn't test to see if it is true but i belive this would be the case since i can't think about anything else.

posted a message on Problems with squid farm.

Alright so i've been struggling with a squid farm for the past days.

I made something that i saw in a xisumavoid video because i thought it seemed quite cool and all and i searched for squid spawning and i believe i did everything right, but they're still not spawning.

I made it with seaweed as you can see below and it is between 46 and 62 Y level, i cleared ALL of the water that i could find in an area of 130 blocks in every direction and i made it in a river biome, they're still not spawning.

posted a message on Tripwire hook pulse too short.

Ok so i don't know a lot about redstone, in fact i know very little and i try to do things without watching a video sometimes and so i tried making a door using a trident that goes through a wall and activates some tripwire hooks that give the signal to open the door, the biggest problem is that it opens and closes almost instantly and so it is impossible to go through it.

And so i just want some advice on how to make the pulse last longer or maybe even get some kind of idea on how to make the door if any of you want to help with that, but mostly i just want to know how to make the pulse from the hooks to last a little longer.

By the way, the door is a 2x3.

    Thank you.
