    Hey guys. The current server has been abandoned essentially. Our account with multiplay has been cancelled on YDS' behalf due to their immaturity and unreliability. It was fun having you all a part of our liberated community, which brought new meaning (or brought back the old meaning) to Survival Multiplayer. But, we just couldnt keep it going reliably, while multiplay made us, as your administration, look like fools as we were forced to deal with issues beyond our control.

    We are now looking for a good host that will provide us with:
    -Low latency
    -High bandwidth
    -Unix
    -System Root Access
    -Reasonable price

If so, how is it fixed because I have had it appear alot in different places but they seem to disappear from time to time and things that were affected are back to normal-ish.


    Chunk error. Just log out and back in to clear it when you come across one.

    We have a regular user who has been cheating by using the transparent texture packs, but with little solid evidence, I have not banned them. The closest evidence I have is from when we were running Genesis (Super-Vanilla) which didn't have any commands (including /who) and I read as the user discussed how he was finding lots of hidden bases within 10 minutes, including hidden anomolies that were generated while making the bedrock border. This same person was roaming map Beta and digging directly to chests. Just wanted to point out to this person that you're not going un-noticed. :SSSS:

    To prevent cheating, I am looking into checksum keys w/ dedicated clients. I dont know if it's possible yet, and considering it would require me to build a modified client, and especially since I'm working more hours (yeah I actually have a life now o.O ) it would take some time. This is quite the fascist fix, and totally goes against the idea of the server, but if the people ask for it, I will deliver it if I can. This means that you wont be able to join the server unless you run a client or client-side mod that we provide, which will not allow custom texture packs or any file modifications, period.

    It wont fix all of our issues, but it will add extra security.

    There are some valid points here about the trees lol. AC did start an epic fire. Btw ac, I was meaning to tell you that me killing you in the genesis base wasn't anything personal. Lol

    New players will come in and be turned off when they find no trees to start with. Maybe a /kit wood ? lol

    I'd hate to resort to more mods here lol.

    What sucks is that we have new possible players who are coming in, not reading the details that the maps are all in testing, and spread word about how badly the server sucks. It doesn't suck that bad does it? :iapprove: lol

    Anyway I think the purpose of Charlie being so small is because YDS wanted to test a 'challenging small map'. Looks like we got an answer to it... plenty of it lol.

    Lets take a vote between us all. I personally don't like map Charlie much either. For now, I will move the spawn.

    I vote for Genesis to be a stable map. And, now that we have hey0, we can remove the adminium walls to nowhere and use normal borderlands.

    And... for the hell of it.. Please read the thread before posting "I hate this map" posts. Please elaborate and explain. DO NOT FEED TROLLS!

    I wanted to make that clear because at the moment not only does the server spawn you underground in a dark cave with no tools to dig yourself out, but also when you manage to claw your way out with your bare hands you find a map with a boarder so tight that it makes my voice high pitched just thinking about it. You can't even walk to the nearby river, or pond. This map could seriously be 4 or even 8 times larger then it is now so people can have some breathing room. Half of the fun with this server was the fact you could EXPLORE and still have that uneasy feeling that someone might see you, and try to kill you.

    If you are keeping the map size this small might as well rename the thread to Total Arena (24/7) No Rules No Whitelist because it sure as hell isn't total freedom. There is no adventure to be had on this server anymore.


    This is EXACTLY why I said worst server ever. That and the fact I got killed 7 times by spawn camping creepers.


    SERVER MAPS ARE IN TESTING. Please read through the thread.

    Also, by reading the description you will realize that the 'freedom' is an emphasis on freedom from oppressive moderators and administration.

    I'll see if we can create a new map or just revert to one of our previous maps. What do you guys prefer?

    Hey guys just to remind you that the server may still be in testing. We're trying to find the right balance between a good map and solutions to the unstable hey0 mod that we are forced to use with our hosts. The floating map was a way to test one of the possible ways to solve border, hoarding, and cheating (by seeing through walls) issues. Anyway, I believe the current map is stable for now. Spawn is next to the border so make sure you walk the opposite way.

    Minecraft Liberation: Total Freedom Server maps
    All of the major maps that we have used have been backed up in case we decide to revert. They are named:

    Alpha - First map we used on this server that started private. It also ran during the last moments of MC Alpha. Originally a tundra spawn, the spawn was moved to a temperate plain that became a creeper mortar zone.
    Beta - Second map we used that held the notorious creeper canyon 'wasteland' that was the original spawn that we moved to a tundra. This map had the longest uptime on the server and most of the veteran players have done a lot of work on it. It also ran as our MC Beta relaunch map.
    Genesis - The map with the bedrock walls and massive dense forests that ran during the super-vanilla stage when hey0 wasn't functional.
    Charlie - This is the current map. Lets make it a good one!

    Other maps:

    Skylands map - Floating islands. Didn't work out too well. Was buggy. Considered a prototype for future possibilities.

    I wanted to update on our attempts to get a server going on the grid and it, sadly, won't be possible. Darn.

    I can't even diagnose the problem from my end because I can't even get in the server because of the timeout. I will see if YDS has any answers. Server should have restarted.
